I watched a very convincing documentary a few years back (unfortunately though I can't find it on RUclips) but it put forward that ol' Jack was actually two men working together!, the reason for this is on the night of the double murderers, a man leaving a pub actually saw two men in a dark courtyard and heard a woman groaning!, one of the men was standing watch and the other was slumped over in the courtyard!, the witness thought it was two men with a prostitute (one having sex and the other waiting his turn). But shortly after this the body of Elizabeth Stride was found. Also on the night of the Mary Jane Kelly murder her landord reported seeing a man standing outside her door looking weird, he thought it was a customer waiting for his turn, but the next morning she was found absolutely mutilated, again it makes sense one would act as look out allowing the other to just completely do what he wants without fear of a boyfriend husband or landlord turning up and surprising him!.
The names put forward by the documentary were Aaron Kosminsky and Francis Tumblety, they were arrested in the same toilets for lewdness around the same time, and so may well have known each outher, and after Kosminsky was reportedly put in an insane asylum police were dispatched to New York to capture Tumblety who had fled London shortly after the date Kosminsky was sectioned, but he eluded them!. It was put forward in the documentary that Kosminsky (who was well known to the prostitutes of the area) lured them in then Tumblety did his grizzly deed, this is why (1) the ripper was never captured as Kosminsky would keep lookout, and also the police were looking for a lone man walking the streets of Whitechapel not two, and (2) Why nobody got away as it would be easier for two men to control a victim and also stop them from scratching their murderers face (which would have been a dead give away).

Jack the Ripper could of been a cop because he was so careful
my guess is that he was someone who was relatively well off, as made apparent by his obvious but limited literacy in the "from hell" letter, and he had somewhat of an experience with blades and was very good with them, as the uteruses he cut out from the women were removed with near surgical precision, as opposed to just hacking them out of the women he killed. this shows he was very efficient with his murders and the only time he switched from precision to brutality was when he mutilated the women's faces in an attempt to make them unrecognizable.

The reason why Jack was never caught is because, during the Victorian Era the MPS (Metropolitan Police Service) didn’t have the correct no. of officers to patrol the streets, meaning they worked on shifts. One Police Officer would patrol for day an hour, leave to inform another that it’s his shift; but whilst doing so Jack had the opportunity to strike when no Police Officer would be present to arrest him.
Jack the Ripper’s murders where all committed within the time frame when a Police Officer would not be present. He studied Police patrol patterns.
Another reason why he was never caught:
The MPS or Scotland Yard for that matter didn’t have the modern technology we have today. With such as DNA analysis I’m sure the case would’ve been solved in no time.
Also, Jack the Ripper may have never existed. At this time newspapers were decking in sales as a result of telegrams and telephones: New ways of communication = new ways of receiving the news. So, it’s very likely that newspapers made up a hoax through false letters, there were plenty of murders in Whitechapel to blame it on.
Tbf I think Jack the Ripper was:
-Definitely a man due to the amount of force affiliated with the injuries of the victims. Mutilation etc
-Of a higher social class because, the footprints left in the mud of the lot next to the boarding school where Mary Anne Nichols was murdered, indicate an expensive set of shoes that would be difficult for such as an immigrant worker to come by.
-Lodged a room with a lady on a street (that I can’t remember the name of sorry XD) in Whitechapel. The landlady stated that the man stayed with her for a few months in the Autumn of 1888, and appeared somewhat unusual and displeasingly eccentric.
Twenty years later in 1908 and still a landlady, the woman saw the man again or someone matching his appearance.
-Well educated and possibly a doctor or surgeon. The murders incorporated an intense amount of mutilation that in most cases would require well understood surgical and medical knowledge of practices and human anatomy.
-Was American. In the infamous ‘Dear Boss’ letter, The Ripper used language that would not be common for a British person to use. For example, a British person would call his/her boss ‘Sir’, ‘Madame’, ‘Ma’am’ or ‘Master’ all depending on where they worked. ‘Boss’ is an Americanism that did not come into use in Britain until circa 1912. Another bit of language used was the word quit in ‘I shan’t QUIT ripping them’, another Americanism as a British person would simply say ‘stop’.

Your points #4 and #5 are dubious. Medical doctors working with the police on the Whitechapel murders unanimously agreed (only 1 doctor out of like 6 or 7 disagreed) that the killer's work did not indicate that he had any anatomical knowledge. The assertion of him being American is also tentative as he (the writer) could've been an often used within group (inner social group) slang or just used "boss" to appear as though he was a foreigner (there was alot of social unrest in London at the time and immigration was one of the main catalysts). The letter was most likely concocted by somebody trying to stir up anti-immigration sentiment (some ripperologists speculate that it could've been writers for the newspapers to sell more papers).

StripeFlame well a person did claim he forged it. And also some of the details of the murders didn’t match with what actually happened.
My guess was Charles Cross/Lechemere, the person who found Mary Ann Nichols’ body. Nearly all of the canonical 5 victims’ bodies were on his his way to work except for one (but his mother lived there) it was also described that he was literally just staring at the dead body when someone else showed up, as if he just finished killing her.

I believe he was also the American serial killer H.H Holmes think about it there are historical records backing up to show that they were both alive at the same time period. Jack’s killing weren’t reported when H.H. Holmes was on his spree. There is also a show called “The American Ripper” you can watch to back this up.

Also, the recent case built against Kosminski is hardly decisive. A shawl with some DNA (with a high likelihood of contamination) is not enough to establish whether or not it was him. That's a long way away from "he's been found". There's equally compelling reasons to suspect guilt with anyone else who has been mentioned in modern investigations, this one isn't particularly special.

I think why he was never caught was due to the time period as stated, since this was not a great time in London’s history. It certainly seemed like the Police were on the right track at times, but missed the mark. Jack was always a step ahead, and he used the hysteria that gripped London as cover to continue his crimes.
I agree without any physical evidence or any direct witnesses to the crime, it was a total crap shoot trying to figure out who it was. I definitely think that this was an educated person who carried out the murders and targeted prostitutes.
Plus in White Chapel, it was a dark place with almost no lighting, so somebody could disappear into total darkness. So Jack knew to use this to his advantage, probably stalking from the shadows, then appearing as a gentleman to his victims, which would explain how he got to so many women. He was a charmer, much like Ted Bundy.
I definitely think he was a killer hiding in plain sight, not drawing any attention to himself. And if he had a job in an educated position, chances are he probably never talked about the Ripper when it was the talk of London at the time so he wouldn’t draw any suspicion. These were crimes of passion that he kept to himself, and he has to satisfy his dark desires.
But I also think that there being two killers is possible, perhaps brothers? Because with the bodies being mutilated in such fashion, and some having different but similar mutilations indicates that there’s certainly similar desire. So I wonder if anybody have any thought that this was a pair of brothers doing this.

It could have, but it would mean that the vast majority of said people would have to have surgical skills. There is also the fact that multiple people crimes tend to get caught eventually due to people ratting others. So, possible but unlikely.

it took me like 20 min to learn how to cauterize and apply a bandage properly.
it took me 3-4 tries to learn how to cut vegetables/fruits
it also took me a week to learn how to drive.
not saying that learning such an acute way of doing a surgery on a cadaver is as easy as the above 3 I mentioned. but such skills can be thought to a particular group of people who pay attention.
I don't know the veracity of this but I took a tour in London and the guy giving the tour shared his own theory which basically said that the forensics department was behind everything.
