I don't have any computers that officially support Windows 11, so I can't show an upgrade or downgrade. But Windows 11 also has the option to downgrade before 10 days!!!
Yeah, like others have said, I'd have tried this as a test PC for Windows 11, or failing that, sticking with Windows 10. Windows 8 has no advantages over 10, or even 7, plus, Windows 8 (and 8.1) is out of support now. So if you want a computer with the most functionality, you might as well use Windows 10. I for one won't be using Windows 8 on anything at all, since Windows 10 has a touchscreen/tablet mode. and Windows 8/8.1's UI does not work well with traditional mouse/keyboard PCs.
you can't upgrade windows 8.1 to 11 and even if i re-upgraded to 10 and then tried upgrading to 11 this computer doesn't officially support the upgrade to 11
@@ati4ngames Yeah, you can easily bypass the TPM and CPU requirements, to get Windows 11 on, but if not, you can just have Windows 10 instead, which will work way way better than that nasty Windows 8.1.
I think I've made it pretty clear in the video that I don't like Windows 8(.1) and this is just a spare computer where I could always install a better OS on again. As for the Windows 11 bypass, I've done that several times, but only for clean installations. Maybe one day I'll try it with the upgrade...
there is a thing called “hp recovery manager” that you can use to restore windows 8 no matter how long you had windows 10 for
Yes, I've shown that in another video, but that does a clean installation of Windows, so it deletes everything from your drive
can you upload the windows.old backup files that is used to restore windows 8.1 to google drive and copy it to the c drive after 10 days have passed
I don't think it would work. You could do that, but the downgrade option still wouldn't be available after 10 days so those files become useless
binbows
interesting.. I didn't even know you could downgrade. Thanks
One with windows 11???
