My First Car was a 1968 Galaxie 500 Fastback... Bright Red with a White Vinyl Top...powered by an FE 390 V8... I wished I still had it ....but My Father had heart problems and I was born with Lung Issues ...💜💜💜

I own a 64 Galaxy with the factory drag package. My father bought it brand new when he was 24 years old. He's 84 now and can't drive it anymore because his legs don't work so well but, at least every other weekend I pick him up in it and we take a nice ride. This thing is bad ass, and if mine didn't have the factory DP I'd consider doing something like this.

He has a scooter he rides around on now, and believe it or not he had one of his neighbors paint it the same color as the car and put Galaxy on the side of it lol. He's a trip! Take care!

That’s how you shift! Not necessarily so early but nice and smooth without dropping much rpm. Slamming gears isn’t cool and hurts your transmission unless it’s designed for it. Heck, this car’s probably is and he still shifts at a reasonable speed. This things is awesome!!
I have a 64 500xl candy apple red with a white top. Black interior. 390 all kinds of stuff done. It was the car I helped my dad build for me as my first car. Also a 63-1/2 gal and a 64 fairlane. 😊
