I LOVE this build. This is pretty much exactly what I would do in a build like this. It'll haul the groceries but you're not held hostage by a high dollar paint job. Save your money for the things that matter!

This truck resonates with me because its something that the average joe who doesn't have a 7 figure income can build in their home garage. I think the rust gives it character.
My father had a 70 c10 the rear suspension is like the 70,s version Nascar trailing arms so it hooks
I like that he put the harnesses in. I would want to wrap the pipes with foam. It wouldn't be good to get an accident and hit your head on the bar.

Beautiful!!! My dream drivetrain for my 85 Sierra 3500 crew cab longbed stepside. Currently has the stock 350/sm465. 454 sitting in the garage waiting to go in.
Those rocker panels need replacing asap. I'd hate to cut myself on that. Also, I'm surprised Jake didn't get a Magnum XL.

Stock suspension, yep those rear swing arms go all the way up to the cab rides like a Cadillac

@@Davivd2 no they have coils all the way around front lower and upper full a arms and the rear is on long swing arms like 4 ft that angle in all the way up to the cab it's a great road chassis

In the past a big block Chevy motor was referred to as a rat motor small block a mouse motor so having a fat rat in a C10 all the aerodynamics of a brick and the power of a pro stock its a recipe for fun.
its not as easy as a 9in and has really no aftermarket support but if you had to stay chevy the eaton HO72s are incredibly strong and can take 14bolt lockers and axle shafts
