    barty brings variety to the game. Thats why she tames all others on tour so easily. Many players just hit bang bang kind of shots, but its the precision and placement that wins games like barty does.

      Hi again, she has two Grand Slam titles as 25 yrs old, compared to Swiatek 20 yrs with one Grand Slam title. But now it looks pretty bleak against Collins. So maybe Ashley will have her third Grand Slam title secured. Anyway, Swiatek started only now to train the strength under the new coach and staff and lowered the speed of the first serve from 190 km/h to 175 km/h. We will see where he is at Ashley’s age, also she is 10 cm taller. In live WTA ranking no.4 now.

    Here's the thing: Anyone who thinks Keys has even a puncher's chance with an in-form Barty is deluding themselves. She's got the Federer-like ability to disassemble a near-pure bruiser effortlessly. I'm sure Madison felt almost helpless; it's understandable. After all, she was taken behind the woodshed by a vastly superior player. This will live in Keys' head, too: Her only win came five years ago, before Barty had rounded into the player she is and could still be intimidated by superior power. No longer. Madison will likely never beat Ashleigh again.

    Barty's variety and flexibility from offense to defense is very, very impressive. She never let Madison get into a rhythm and always applied the pressure. Brilliant match and I'm a huge Keys fan. Ash shows "kraftniness" that to my eyes is achievable or at least easier to watch and try to do. I really love her style. Her technique is easy to study and even her game tactics, as she goes. It's not mechanical as one see in majority of games. Man, I really wanna play like her. Should have known better, especially how they treated Djokovic. How many day matches did she play in the sweltering heat. None that I can recall. Most of her matches were at night. I bet if she had to play in the heat during the day she would have been lost. That’s why most of the good players like Azarenka, Krejcikova , Halep and Cornet are out of the tournament. Barty does remind me a bit of Graf..although with a bit of Hingis, Henin and Clijsters thrown in as well. That slice backhand is an understated weapon...able to nullify the vast majority of power players (which is 99 per cent of all WTA players now) It's nice not just to see bash bash bash as much as I love a slugfest! Well done to Keys though..she should be eyeing up Roland Garros..her forehand is perfect for clay.

      Collins is playing on form too. Don't know if she can beat Barty, but I like her chances of making a game of it. I doubt Ash will give her many opportunities to hit backhand winners, so Danielle has to be ready for a different look.

      If you consider the time spent when changing sides, the time spent n between points, and failed first service, the overall ball in then air time is maybe 15-25 minutes of one hour. One could estimate the $$ per shot. Somewhere about $$ 1,000 per shot?

    Barty is an excellent player!! She has every shot at her disposal and that precision slice is no joke. Madison is a great player as well; however, to beat players like Barty, banging balls just won’t be enough. I’m sure Madison will get better and incorporate other shots to her arsenal - she would def be around.
    People need to understand that playing tennis at a competitive/pro level is no small feat. These players dedicate and commit everything the have and believe; even putting their bodies and minds through the ultimate extreme conditions to be the best athlete/tennis player they could ever be. Hard work = earning it all the way. Congrats 👏🏼 to them.

    I don't understand how the girls can't react to Barty's style of play. Almost no in the top 20 can not play and react to slice. Most can burn backhad and forehand backs, but max. 2 players of the top 50 know to play slices. Reflection is lacking in condition, rallies are 3-4 strokes longer, and unfortunately this is mostly lacking.

    Ms. Barty just looks about a step and half in front of everyone. She looks in shape, she can turn defense into offense, has a big enough serve that can give her some free points, & can return serve better than average & she looks like she has the DRIVE to want to win. I root for the Americans, but don't think Danielle Collins has a chance, sorry just my opinion

    Madison is a very skillful player and I love her playing style but what stops her from winning the trophy is her body strength which let her down against barty and to be honest barty is an amazing player and she deserves to be number 1 in the tour and the way she plays I am just surprised why she didn't win at least 10 grand slam so far and she is gonna be the champion in ao for sure

    • @mehdikeyha3755
      @mehdikeyha3755 2 года назад

      @asava17 even if she had a plan b or c or whatever she can't perform it because she can't hit the ball as hard as players like barty and that's exactly the reason why she couldn't get any grand slam so far and believe me she will never get it as long as she doesn't get more mussel to send the ball to opponent ground faster and harder

    • @mehdikeyha3755
      @mehdikeyha3755 2 года назад

      @asava17 u said she doesn't like long rally and that's true which is my point exactly she doesn't like long rally because she can't afford it fiscally as I said before she is a very skillful player but skill without power isn't just enough to beat players like barty or another hard hitting players in the tour

    I'll say this now: I think that Ash Barty will surpass both Henin and Hingis, who are the same height as Barty. She has the gumption and pace of Henin and she has the brain and tactics of Hingis. Her game is potent and is a testament of what true hard work can do. She uses the biggest muscle on the court: her brain. All this at only being 5'5". See folks, you don't have to be 6'10" to be a really great player.
