    AO is for Barty to lose. Total dominance. Opening up the court. Keeping the ball low. Seems only lefties or players with a big service game can do well against this style of play. Can't hit flat and hard to balls that stay low.
    Seems WTA players have not figured out the slice backhand. Didn't figure it out when Steffi was doing it. Barty's game is an open book. You know exactly how she's going to play. But they still can't find a solution. Not that it is an easy problem at all.

    • @user-be5qg7mr1s
      @user-be5qg7mr1s 2 года назад +1

      women have more trouble moving forward on low slice vs laterally. They also don't practice against someone who has power and slice. Graf did this expertly during her career. It wears down her oppoents, making them hit a low two hander like Vicario and seles had to do

    Too bad, I was kinda hoping for more from Pegula, a meeting of two of the smarter players on the tour but Barty's got too many tools in addition, trying to out Barty Barty isn't going to work especially with a few UEs. The Bill's losing probably didn't help matters, but that wasn't going to change the result. Good run for Pegula, this is probably her MO. Who's left to challenge Barty? Haven't watched Keys enough, maybe Amanda was her biggest challenge.

      Ridiculous, she played great! Pegula is a great tennis player too, just couldn't keep up with Barty's excellence on the court today. Stop undermining opponent's abilities to make your favorite player sound good.

      Yeah the first set was not good. She seemed to get her groove in the second…which is why she didn’t concede a game. Still, she can’t afford that lapse against Keys right now. Hope she finds her rhythm early in the semi
