    @RonHenry thanks for answering my Pre+post emergent application question. I had to cut out before I heard the answer. I almost nailed it. I did my combo exactly how you said with the exception of omitting the surfactant although I didn't use much (because I wasn't sure; Used .5tsp/1k). Used Flood jet tip, waited 2 days before irrigatio. Almost nailed it. Welp, at least I will know for next time. Upside is I did a split app with for the Prodiamine, so I can recover on the second half of the application, hopefully. Thanks again. ~Chantel

      Nice Chantel. Sounds like you did a good job with the application. Keep me posted on how it turns out.

    Enjoyed the stream as always! The weather will be nice today! You going to drag the camera gear out while putting down the pre emergent?
    I know where I’ll be! ⛳️

      I will aim to film it all tomorrow. It’ll be fun to show the process. 😎

    does dithiopyr have the same limits on how much you can apply in 12 months as you say Prodiamine does?

      No. The limits are different. Check the label for the product you’re using.

    Hey Ron, new to reel mowing (last year) and have been in apartments for 8 years prior to this. What is the best way/time to kill clover. Yard is fairly weed free besides the clover is the primarily shaded area where I’m having trouble getting grass seed to take. I’m in the western side of Washington state.

      Given that you're in Washington state, I'm assuming you have cool season grass. Go with either a 3 way like this: golfcourselawn.store/products/broadleaf-weed-control-triad-select-3-way-herbicide or Tenacity: golfcourselawn.store/products/tenacity-herbicide Either will work well.

    When do you suggest applying this in the northeast. Like NY?

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  7 месяцев назад +1

      It's hard to say. You're going to be later than we are in the southeast. I'd imagine early March depending on weather. Use an online tool to track the average 5 day soil temps in your area.

      Mysoil test site showed average soil temp of 36 degrees in northern Illinois. Appreciate the tip to check that site Ron.

    I have neighbors on both sides of me who do not take care of there lawns, I'm trying to control the weeds but is it sort of pointless? If their weeds cross over?

      I have neighbors on both sides of me and their yards are FULL of weeds, everthing you can think of. What I do is I put pre-emergent part the way in their yards to create a barrier so their weeds do not come into my yard. To eliminate problems, I do it when they do not see me doing it, ha ha. Been doing this for years. My yard is totally weed free.

      Hi Alfredo. The best preventative measure you can do is have a good pre-emergent barrier between your lawn and their lawn. Treat weeds that break make it into your lawn with post-emergent herbicide
