This REALLY helped me today. Last weekend was my first round of tennis after many years of not playing. By the time I was finished, even though I was wearing a stiff wrist brace, after an hour, my hand was shaking and I could barely hold the racket (had a wrist injury from a crazy dig in volleyball - didn't bother me with any other activity, but tennis murdered it). After I had someone tape my wrist as per the video, I played for about 90min today, without any pain whatsoever. Thanks for posting this up!

Worked amazingly, for the first time in months I woke up with NO PAIN.
I originally bought the kt tape for back support due to pregnancy but it works great for carpal tunnel which is also associated with my pregnancy.

I actually was able to do this all by myself! I've recently been playing Tennis for my school and I had some wrist pain that had been bothering me since I'd woken up so thanks to this video I can actually use my wrist without wanting to yelp in pain every time I bent it. Thanks!

People need to research and USE it properly. I apply KT tape myself and go by exactly what they say. Sometimes it takes some tweaking but otherwise it works great! Specially when used in conjunction with the spray adhesive. Lasts longer. Thanks KT tape!

To place the top piece i believe is easy, for the ones going around your wrist just start with the sides.( no tension , ( rotate your hand) then stretch, no tension again).

To apply the 1/2 pieces by myself, I pinned-down the latter ends by kneeling on a sturdy end table. Although the application was done well, I'm not happy with how awkward & time consuming it was. Next time, I'll get a friend to help.

Due to i had saw a video that suggests the anchor was located on forearm and toward to the wrist. However, the forearm method was introduced that can be enhanced muscle stable when you bowl the bowling ball.

My Physical Therapist had my hand bent up not down and put another long strip from my thumb over the top of the other strip. I had Carpal Tunnel 7 weeks ago but had Tendentious in my wrist for a long time prior to the Surgery. She admitted she hasn’t been to classes and didn’t really seem confident about what she was doing. I have pain when my hand is bent down not when I bend it back. Is there more than one way to put the tape on the wrist?

  • @Villagenanny

ZERO pain in wrist after a few days! AMAZING! No meds, no cream. Genius idea! But just curious, is it recommended to wear 3-5 days as that is how long the adhesive will last before wearing off your skin OR is it not safe for constant use? I only ask because I noticed excruciating joint pain in my wrist hours after the tape was removed, worse than initial pain. Tape is back on & no pain.

guys.. my opinion is when you need taping, go to a specialist. to tape correctly you need to know anatomy and muscle function... origin .. insertion, you need to know how to tape, not just "copy paste". A specialist (kinesiologist, physiotherapist, med massage therapist), anyway, thanks for the video ;)

This is very interesting designing zone specific tractuoning effects with the tape? I'm trying to figure out how to use the stuff, I'd never thought about application through a range of motion.
Sry for not knowing the specific terms but a question; i have pain through my wrist and shoulder which seems to be alleviated when tractuoning that ulnar condyle?(That bump on the wrist when it's twisted) wanted to know if there was a taping scheme or suggested modification that might provide the same relief.

Give yourself time. Best advice. I had the same. Radial nerve palsy due to humerus fracture but no surgery, I had a brace and had to heal the long way. I'm 3 and a half months in and only just getting movement in my wrist. It can take 3-6 months for the nerve to even start healing so best thing is to keep doing your physio, especially wrist exercises, keep it splinted in a wrist brace for most part and to just be patient. It'll eventually come back.
