So the RP community segmented a good bit. The Alliance are majority on Moon Guard, while the Horde are majority on Wyrmwrest Accord. Might have to Faction Change or Transfer Nixxiom :/ great video tho

I chill out in Goldshire all of the time between queues and there has never been a point where there aren't at least a handful of hordies either pvping by the lake or pvping upstairs in the inn. Everyone has the elixir of tongues buff and can understand Alliance.
as an altaholic i definitely am focused on the storms for my gear, as well as my main doing PVP for the first time since WoD, then we'll have to see what Dragonflight season 2 has for us, especially ilvl wise.

Wow has made massive improvements with this expansion, no more thorgast or other mandatory crap that you then have to repeat on alts. Just, playing, enjoying and doing cool stuff!
What I hope to see after this raid season is we don’t actually kill raszagsth, rather we defeat her and imprison her, but not before she send a messenger to Northrend to alert the current king of the Vrykul, who has been secretly aligned to her. This begins the next big patch, The Vrykul Invasion. However there is a small but formidable faction of Vrykul that wrathion as aligned with that we players are able to align with, giving us the Vrykul allied race to unlock. I’m not giving up on my decades long campaign of getting the Vrykul allied race 😅😅
I bought Dragonflight last week excited to play it. I made an Evoker and after 30 minutes stopped and went back to Wotlk LOL! Not to say the Evoker wasn't fun for that time, I think I'm just personally too invested into Classic rn. One of these days I'll get back to retail, but that day is not today
I am an old school gamer and have played plenty of MMORPGs back in the day but never got into WoW itself. But now my time has come, me and my gf are planning on starting together in the next couple of days and since you seem to be very knowledgeable of all thingys wow I humbly ask: Where do I begin? With Modern Wow/Dragonflight or the Classic one? Currently I'm beating throught the frozen throne wc3 campaign just to get warmed up in the story and stuff...
@@Jinx_Skeel Start with retail imo. classic is more a relaxed game style as the leveling is slower the rotation and classes are generally alot easier to play as their datedbut if your into that feel free to go classic. but I recommend retail because there's a promotion going on that includes 30 days game with dragonflight. It's a more up to date experience and if your looking for it offers harder content / more complex classes and more updated gameplay then classic has to offer. dragonflight has ALOT to offer if your up for it and it's pretty new player friendly as it doesn't have any of the past systems or needed grinds that past expansions had. recommend finding a chill guild as you'll probably have alot of questions to ask. or use resources like wowhead / icy veins or the wow forums. wowhead / icy veins both have class guides for every class There's even dedicated discords for each class filled with very helpful people found via googling world of warcraft class discords..so if you ever have a question pop in there and ask them. and wowhead is a complete database on the game. kinda like google but for wow. hope this helps some. Also when and if you and your girlfriend start doing dungeons please ignore any assholes being toxic to you unfortunately as with any online game there are rude people who take this game way to serious.. even in low level content. just ignore them and remember they are a very small minority in a sea of very nice / helpful people. Don't let it turn ya'll away. Hope you enjoy the game
Moonguard is an alliance server, reason why you're not finding any guild for horde there. Also Moonguard isn't a "serious" server as these other competitive servers that take endgame and pvp more seriously like Area 52, Stormrage, or Illidan etc, moonguard is just for the goldshire inn and some roleplay here and there but that's it.
WIthout wanting to hard spoiler anything (I´ve cleared the raid and seen the cinematic, and it´s up here on YT, but some like to avoid those to experience them themselves).... Ion DID say we´d know who the endboss is after the first raid... And considering that Alexstrasza seems to be terrified of him, my money is on Iridikron, and I actually would have bet that even before the raid opened for the same reason ;)
You know, on one hand I'm seriously tempted to give it a try. On the other hand, I remember why I left in the first place: the story. Or rather, what happened in BfA and then Shadowlands (and even before that, to be honest...). It hasnt been adressed, let alone improved - its deafening silence. In good old fashioned WoW-manner (TM, btw...), everything that happened in previous expansions is gone and deleted from our minds, never to be spoken of ever again, or re-written to fit the new narrative. I dont doubt, that DF is a fine expansion, but what bothers me is that Blizz wont commit to it - just as they didnt in *every* previous expansion. They retcon, I'm sorry, re-write... oops, what I mean is, *re-interpret* everything that happened before and to hell with logic and consistency. And sadly, yes, these are things I care about in my MMOs. And WoW isnt that MMO anymore - or rather: it failed so blatendly that any sort of fun I could have had will be overshadowed by this one failure. But yeah, thats my two cents regarding the question why I wont bother to come back. That, and Blizz demands a monthly fee: I already pay a sub for another MMO and I wont add another one :)

I think of "seasons" in a video game and I think of the season passes/stories you see in games like Apex Legends and Destiny 2. NOT...whatever the fuck this is from WoW it feels more like a post-launch story patch in FFXIV than a true season if that is all they offer this is the first time I've heard of such updates referred to as a season in WoW It feels like Blizzard called them that for marketing reasons more than them being actual seasons

Raszageth isn't really a villian, they are more of an anti-hero that is a massive dick about how they try to accomplish their goals. A lot of what they say about the Titans and their power is accurate.
It's a shame everyone did that exploit where the loot boxes duplicated and people got decked out right at the start.. Kinda raised the bar for people who didn't do it
I'll be honest, I am not a fan of this raid's cosmetics. Like, they work for some classes like shamans, warriors, and death knights, but as soon as I get it on my priest and mage, I'm transmogging to something else
I'm already burnt out. It is still just essentially higher-level cap higher number's different location same reskinned modals. I did truly enjoy Dracthyers though. But i think at this point WOW is outdated content I'm my life and i will just keep up with the story online because if a new expansion that has done nothing wrong can't keep my interest its time a move on unfortunately lol = (
When did the season thing start applying to PVE? I feel like PVP has had season for a long time but seasons having any meaning for PVE just came out of nowhere.

World Boss: 3 minutes of your day. All world quests that come up every 3 days: 3 hours. 64 years old and nobody wants me to raid/mythic with me, so.... I am very bored with this expansion. Sure there are Hunts, and Elemental Invasions, even Dragonbane and Super Rares: 2 hours tops. Please help me understand where the Content is?? I like your content, and I would appreciate your voice letting Bliz know they arent done yet!!
You post how old you are in the group finder? Do some rock climbing, races, take some pictures, or max out that renown. You only mentioned sources that drop gear, so if you are looking for gear and ignoring the main places to get that gear, it’s on you.

@@Collins311 I would agree for organized groups, but in a PuG it`s generally boiled down to 2 questions: "Do we need that class? And does he have good enough gear?", especially at the beginning of a new expansion. My experience is that starting @ liLvl 360 (=Full HC-Ini and 1 piece of 372 or better gear from crafting or event drops) you can find m0-5 and NHC raids all day long and most of the night... and nobody uses discord in PuGs, so his age really shouldn´t have any relevance unless he actively makes it relevant.... Or you guys on US realms have a really whack culture when it comes to instanced content... ;)
So it is basicly the same grind as shadowlands, if you enjoy open world content. I will not do the same grind again. Also wow have become pay to win via wow token. So if Blizzard want me back, they shall make the less grindy, and just before anyone says something, I dont mind doing stuff to getting stuff, but I will not do shadowlands kind of grind again. They also need to remove wow token. Or will they not remove wow token because they are to focused on money.
It´s exactly the opposite. There is no mandatory grinding ind DF, unless you consider cosmetics mandatory. But that´s entirely on you..... Lots of people are already raidlogging on multiple alts, because they want to raid and don´t care about anything else You can completely ignore any and all content that is not the content you want to do without any sort of falling behing or significant power disadvantage.

@@Boris8930 Im not here t convince ycu one way or the other. THe fact of the matter is you can grind renown for cosmetics, or you can decide not to. THere is no other grind unless oyu make your own. Think of it as MoP, but nothing is mandatory except for playing through the MSQ 1 single time to unlock everything and you can fly right from teh get go. . Want to stay with teh startert dragon? Don´t grab the glyphs.. want cosmetics? There are 4 main factions and a few sub-factions that you can grind to your heart´s content or decide not to. Want to feel more powerful in the open world without dungeons or Raids, or just want more mog? Here are the primal invasions, grind them or don´t, your call. The whole philosophy is play what you WANT to play, not what they say you have to play. No Choreghast, no "choose a faction that you have to stick to and wait 8 weeks before the grind is done, no "you can rep this but not this at the same time....", no McGuiffin item that locks you into playing a sinle spec all expansion because every second on an alt or offspec is wasted time for your main... I like the theme park analogy: SL = You´ve paid to get in, and want to ride teh rollercoaster. Well, you have to ride the teacups twice, then teh bumper cars 3 times, then the train around the park, an then 2x teh ferris wheel, then you might be ready.. DF= Welcome. There's the coaster, knock yourself out. And starting in February with the trading post, you get basically a free store mount or choice of other cosmetics for maybe 2-3 hrs of playtime a month. That all said, I´ve never seen in 16 years somebody purchase a World first kill or top.1% PvP or M+ TItle with their creditcard, at best a few BoEs that couldn´t save him because he was still a bad player and you can only carry so far. So, either Pay to Win may not quite mean what you think it means, or we may have a vastly differing opinion on what "winning" an MMO constitutes 🍻
@@thezerb as far I have seen it will take as long to get cosmetics in dragonflight as in shadowlands (I might be wrong), and I will not do that kind of grind again. Paying to win is paying real life money for gear ingame, which you can do i wow, you buy a wow token, sell it and get gold and from gold you can buy gear from AH.
@@Boris8930 I consider that "Pay for convenience", because having the gear alone doesn´t win you anything but ridicule if you can´t use it, and you can still grind for equally or more powerful gear, esp since the Mythic raid BoEs are currently BoP. There was a bug with trophies of strife for PvP gear being sellable on the AH which is arguably more in that direction (I think it was Bahjeera did a vid about it), but that´s been fixed and they´re now soulbound as intended,and purchases have been rolled back and the gold refunded. I think Pay To Win is a term that gets thrown around a lot but as far as I recall generally means paying for an actual power advantage over other players not paying for it that cannot be opbtained by imngame means, such as for example the gold ammo in World of tanks that could initially oneshot anything. And similar systems do not currently exist in WoW AFAIK, there is no ilvl 430 Axe on the ingame shop. I understand where you´re coming, from, I just don´t agree that it falls under pay to win :) As far as how much of a grind it´s worth, that´s of course something everyone has to decide for themselves. I personally don´t care about cosmetics much because all my toons have had their mogs for years at this point and I see no reason to change them, so for me it ssomething that will basically happen as a side gig passively over the next 2 years. 🍻

He didn't tell you that riding your dragon bugs you out or straight up kicks you from the game for hours at times. Its not a blizzard game anymore for sure. You don't believe me? You don't need to! Go check the forum for yourself. In my time played half of it is trying to get in after being bugged out of the game. Oh and I did try to repair the instalation and that was the worst mistake xD
@@MrCFBad the problem with all of them is that you look shaman no matter what. You have rocks all over your toon on every set. They could look excellent if they took the route of making it look what class you are, for example Warlock, the set idea is cool IF the rock pieces would be changed. Same with Paladin, the idea is there but its ruined by being a rock mess. Now I get it why they look like they do, its raid inspired. Okay I get that, but it does not make your class look like the class you play
That´s actually kind of an oldschool approach tha I personally enjoy for the flavor... For ex in ICC (and I think even before that) the mobs were wearing our tier sets for the most part.... and it kind of makes sense, because why would the stuff we loot off of them (or theor bosses) look completely different than what they have readily available? Just My opinion, of course
@@thezerb the gear you loot from the raid can look like that, but you get tier tokens, which in the olden times were taken to vendor that sells the tiers, so they do not need to look like angry rock piles but actually what your class looks
What content? After 3weeks Keystone hero is done, then for me only m Raid progress with Guild. I Have done all Rep farms already and WQs don't give anything good besides gold and resets only twice a week ...... So what content? SL had more endgame content at launch

@@zoovaado7759 On average around 36 hours per week but depends alot as I might have morning, mid or night shifts. So If I night morning night morning my hours actually loses alot. Most players didn't the infinitely grindable content to Max during legion, bfa or even worse version of it what was in SL. I just want to have stuff to do which can give minimal Power rewards heck by removing The valor cap would give atleast something. But no DF has so little content it makes WoD Look like it had good amount of content.
If u wanna push raid and m+ seriously, you need to farm. Simply people are farming, something that u (maybe) have chosen not to do. I see no problems in this.

Moon guard is heavily alliance populated. Wyrmrest Accord is the big horde RP server. But if you make an alliance on Moon Guard, let us know!

Backwards. Goldshire is really a small part of Moon Guard RP.
I don´t know how it is on US servers, but on many EU RP realms there are guilds that take raiding almost as seriously as RP and get CE every patch....
Have a small guild on MG horde. Mostly just do mplus , 8 or so guys. Ally is huge on MG , horde not so much

War Wolves is a good horde guild on MG.
im on a horde and it really is hard to get a team up.. and my gear is 365 ilvl so is that really low ?
Not normally but a lot of people did exploits where they acquired better gear 376 level I think right from the start of the expansion

I'll be honest, I am not a fan of this raid's cosmetics. Like, they work for some classes like shamans, warriors, and death knights, but as soon as I get it on my priest and mage, I'm transmogging to something else
I'm already burnt out. It is still just essentially higher-level cap higher number's different location same reskinned modals. I did truly enjoy Dracthyers though. But i think at this point WOW is outdated content I'm my life and i will just keep up with the story online because if a new expansion that has done nothing wrong can't keep my interest its time a move on unfortunately lol = (

I hate the "season" model. As soon as challenge dungeons were introduced i knew it was coming.
When did the season thing start applying to PVE? I feel like PVP has had season for a long time but seasons having any meaning for PVE just came out of nowhere.
@@michaelthomas1916 They just used them to mean a new tier. Made it a season and had it coincide with the new lvl 10 themed m+ affix and pvp season. I mean, it makes a lot of sense to just consolidate it.

@@michaelthomas1916 I want to say legion. Dungeon Challenges(precursor to m+) started in MoP. I personally just don’t enjoy the “timed” aspects of dungeons. That’s just me.
I think the whole purpose of m+ is to have to make less content and push esports to make more $$$$.
What do you hate about seasons? I think it’s pretty cool because you can even be competitive at mythics.

You post how old you are in the group finder? Do some rock climbing, races, take some pictures, or max out that renown. You only mentioned sources that drop gear, so if you are looking for gear and ignoring the main places to get that gear, it’s on you.
@@keithb6344 I mean being in raid/mythic groups tend to be social. Sometimes 60 year olds and ? Year olds don’t have commonality and it’s not enjoyable
@@Collins311 I would agree for organized groups, but in a PuG it`s generally boiled down to 2 questions: "Do we need that class? And does he have good enough gear?", especially at the beginning of a new expansion.
My experience is that starting @ liLvl 360 (=Full HC-Ini and 1 piece of 372 or better gear from crafting or event drops) you can find m0-5 and NHC raids all day long and most of the night... and nobody uses discord in PuGs, so his age really shouldn´t have any relevance unless he actively makes it relevant....
Or you guys on US realms have a really whack culture when it comes to instanced content... ;)

So it is basicly the same grind as shadowlands, if you enjoy open world content. I will not do the same grind again. Also wow have become pay to win via wow token. So if Blizzard want me back, they shall make the less grindy, and just before anyone says something, I dont mind doing stuff to getting stuff, but I will not do shadowlands kind of grind again. They also need to remove wow token. Or will they not remove wow token because they are to focused on money.

There is no mandatory grinding ind DF, unless you consider cosmetics mandatory. But that´s entirely on you..... Lots of people are already raidlogging on multiple alts, because they want to raid and don´t care about anything else
You can completely ignore any and all content that is not the content you want to do without any sort of falling behing or significant power disadvantage.

and again yeah i could ignore wow tokens, but is not healthy for the game in the long run. so i want blizzard to prove to me that the can make the game so you can get cosmetics, without that big of a grind and make it not pay to win.

Im not here t convince ycu one way or the other. THe fact of the matter is you can grind renown for cosmetics, or you can decide not to. THere is no other grind unless oyu make your own. Think of it as MoP, but nothing is mandatory except for playing through the MSQ 1 single time to unlock everything and you can fly right from teh get go. .
Want to stay with teh startert dragon? Don´t grab the glyphs.. want cosmetics? There are 4 main factions and a few sub-factions that you can grind to your heart´s content or decide not to. Want to feel more powerful in the open world without dungeons or Raids, or just want more mog? Here are the primal invasions, grind them or don´t, your call.
The whole philosophy is play what you WANT to play, not what they say you have to play. No Choreghast, no "choose a faction that you have to stick to and wait 8 weeks before the grind is done, no "you can rep this but not this at the same time....", no McGuiffin item that locks you into playing a sinle spec all expansion because every second on an alt or offspec is wasted time for your main...
I like the theme park analogy:
SL = You´ve paid to get in, and want to ride teh rollercoaster. Well, you have to ride the teacups twice, then teh bumper cars 3 times, then the train around the park, an then 2x teh ferris wheel, then you might be ready..
DF= Welcome. There's the coaster, knock yourself out.
And starting in February with the trading post, you get basically a free store mount or choice of other cosmetics for maybe 2-3 hrs of playtime a month.
That all said, I´ve never seen in 16 years somebody purchase a World first kill or top.1% PvP or M+ TItle with their creditcard, at best a few BoEs that couldn´t save him because he was still a bad player and you can only carry so far. So, either Pay to Win may not quite mean what you think it means, or we may have a vastly differing opinion on what "winning" an MMO constitutes 🍻
@@thezerb as far I have seen it will take as long to get cosmetics in dragonflight as in shadowlands (I might be wrong), and I will not do that kind of grind again. Paying to win is paying real life money for gear ingame, which you can do i wow, you buy a wow token, sell it and get gold and from gold you can buy gear from AH.
@@Boris8930 I consider that "Pay for convenience", because having the gear alone doesn´t win you anything but ridicule if you can´t use it, and you can still grind for equally or more powerful gear, esp since the Mythic raid BoEs are currently BoP. There was a bug with trophies of strife for PvP gear being sellable on the AH which is arguably more in that direction (I think it was Bahjeera did a vid about it), but that´s been fixed and they´re now soulbound as intended,and purchases have been rolled back and the gold refunded.
I think Pay To Win is a term that gets thrown around a lot but as far as I recall generally means paying for an actual power advantage over other players not paying for it that cannot be opbtained by imngame means, such as for example the gold ammo in World of tanks that could initially oneshot anything. And similar systems do not currently exist in WoW AFAIK, there is no ilvl 430 Axe on the ingame shop. I understand where you´re coming, from, I just don´t agree that it falls under pay to win :)
As far as how much of a grind it´s worth, that´s of course something everyone has to decide for themselves. I personally don´t care about cosmetics much because all my toons have had their mogs for years at this point and I see no reason to change them, so for me it ssomething that will basically happen as a side gig passively over the next 2 years. 🍻
So literally the same as SL or BFA but less content :D

He didn't tell you that riding your dragon bugs you out or straight up kicks you from the game for hours at times. Its not a blizzard game anymore for sure. You don't believe me? You don't need to! Go check the forum for yourself. In my time played half of it is trying to get in after being bugged out of the game. Oh and I did try to repair the instalation and that was the worst mistake xD

The raid gear is let down, enemies wear the same looking gear making them un-unique
A few classes look pretty damn good, a couple are meh.
The weapons don’t disappoint though.
@@MrCFBad the problem with all of them is that you look shaman no matter what. You have rocks all over your toon on every set.
They could look excellent if they took the route of making it look what class you are, for example Warlock, the set idea is cool IF the rock pieces would be changed. Same with Paladin, the idea is there but its ruined by being a rock mess.
Now I get it why they look like they do, its raid inspired. Okay I get that, but it does not make your class look like the class you play
That´s actually kind of an oldschool approach tha I personally enjoy for the flavor... For ex in ICC (and I think even before that) the mobs were wearing our tier sets for the most part.... and it kind of makes sense, because why would the stuff we loot off of them (or theor bosses) look completely different than what they have readily available?

@@thezerb the gear you loot from the raid can look like that, but you get tier tokens, which in the olden times were taken to vendor that sells the tiers, so they do not need to look like angry rock piles but actually what your class looks

What content? After 3weeks Keystone hero is done, then for me only m Raid progress with Guild. I Have done all Rep farms already and WQs don't give anything good besides gold and resets only twice a week ...... So what content? SL had more endgame content at launch
Play a different game... Or get a job lol. Just because you rush through all the content as fast as possible doesn't mean everybody does.

Most players didn't the infinitely grindable content to Max during legion, bfa or even worse version of it what was in SL. I just want to have stuff to do which can give minimal Power rewards heck by removing The valor cap would give atleast something.
But no DF has so little content it makes WoD Look like it had good amount of content.

If u wanna push raid and m+ seriously, you need to farm. Simply people are farming, something that u (maybe) have chosen not to do.

I enjoy raiding in WoW. I couldn´t care less about how we get around, it´s just a minigame inside a larger game. BUt it´s nice to not point, autowalk and and afk for a change.
