A turning point in Ravens history. If they lost that game and fall to 6-5, who knows what happens

It also solidified Trent's role as the starting QB. Had they lost that game off of Trent's pick 6, his teammates might've wanted Tony or Chris Redman (a 3rd round pick and favorite of Unitas) to get shot.

This game and the Ravens first win over the Jags early in the 2000 season were huge in turning the franchise into a winner. They never beat the Jags in the previous 4 seasons.

@@ajbahus Shannon Sharpe got into Dilfers face after that pick. Trent stepped up and won the game. Sharpes leadership was a significant factor in the Ravens success in 2000.

Man this was THE RIVALRY in the old AFC central prior to realignment in 2002. This game was the turning point for the Ravens in handing the Titans their first ever loss at the Coliseum. The Ravens would beat the Titans again in route to their first Super Bowl in the playoffs.

Al Del Greco single handily lost them the next time they met for a third time. Got 2 kicks blocked and then missed another field goal, but they were ones that always pushed the Ravens hard that season.

They were the 2 best teams in the league that year, would’ve made an hella of Super Bowl if they was in different conferences, but the Titans should had at least 1 Super Bowl ring on their resume

Jonathan Dee The One And Only Disagree. I think the Raiders would have matched up better against the Titans

For perspective, Del Greco missed 0 extra points that year against teams not named the Ravens and made 3 game winning kicks

Al Del Greco career went down the hill rapidly after that; it even got worse in the playoffs. You could tell his loss of confidence.

Al Del Greco cost us twice that year to the Ravens,in the playoffs he missed a couple of field goals and had one block that turn the momentum in the playoff game...I’m convinced he and Eddie George was either scared or got paid that year

Al Del Greco hit the upright in both games though. He couldn't have done that if he tried.
