Started off 2020 on Jan 1st finding out I had a hernia. Couldn't sleep, was in pain. Needed content to pass the hours. Discovered Merchant DnD content. Profit.

Absolutely stellar episode, imo even the best one so far (though the overall standard has been outstanding).
Especially loved the background development from all of the party (11:54 I'm not crying, you're crying!); a great idea to set it out like you did, and really look forward to seeing how the personal stories unfold.
Jovial moments aplenty throughout (Jon was especially on fire this week), which was great! And to pick just two of the many other highlights: Craig's watch was a real gem and the prelude to the second encounter (1:06:40) was simultaneously engrossing, hilarious and chilling.
Super job by all and thank you!
(NB Merchant, I hope you're on the up after last week, man; I have no words, but that's real heavy...)
Okay so from this season in critical role and this an Icewind Dale, both in horrifically cold environments, I am starting to think Inuit would just be op in the DnD world 💅

I finished my Ph.D. thesis while listening to the soothing, deep voice of Merchant and cast. A great finish to 3.5 years of study.

Great Videos! Loving the series. Dm' ing a group through IWD right now we are 3 eps in and no where near as far as your group. Merchant are you planning to keep this pace and shorten the content to a fixed number of episodes?

I love this series. I didn't realized episode 5 was out because the thumbnail has different art. Usually the map stands out from your magic videos. This one was camouflages and hard to spot. I saw the roman numeral 5 by accident and was very happy to see that there is another episode to enjoy. I just wanted to let you know in case other viewers are confused as well and haven't watched this yet. I really wish you guys all the success you deserve.
Loved it. On the topic of flavour, I'm curious how they handle factions. I hope they go a bit further than "Viking group A" and "Viking group B".

I love listening to this while I'm working on my own D&D campaign! I love all the little details you put into describing how the NPC's are acting as they're speaking. Going to have to try that style myself sometime.
May have missed this in earlier episodes, but what is the DND software you're using? Thanks for all the content, I went back to the end of Ep 5, as soon as 6 came out! #anticipate, and rewarded, as the dragon flying away cliffhanger was great. Excited for the robot alternating weeks too!

Man, this episode had some juicy bits. The silence after the Dorothea backstory left hook was wild. I like the way that ThyrixSyx is playing a tiefling warlock, it’s very different than I have seen a lot of players handle it. All of the characters are intriguing to me too, I can’t wait to see how this campaign goes. Looking forward to the next episode!!
