Hey guys you said you are not allowed to ship whisky in the US...does this law also applies to oversees? So is it possible to get you whisky In Germany? Amazing as always
Saw the fire in this one and got me remembering a salesmen awhile ago. They were trying to convince me that putting budget whiskey in a small barrel ~5 liter was going to age it in a few months. I know you've mentioned that isn't exactly true, but my question is how hard should in explaining them the shortcomings there of. I know a salesmen doesn't necessarily know any better but still I feel I should let them know.
I found a bottle of wild turkey 101 hidden in the back of a kitchen cabinet when i was about 10 I remember that I thought it was the nastiest thing I ever tasted at the time and for many years wouldn’t even try it again it took another 25 years before I did

There is a new release whisky from a local craft distillery that I am still trying to figure out how they are legally allowed to call it whisky on the label... similar to this one... KAVI Reserve Cold Brewed Coffee Whisky, labelled as Coffee Blended Canadian Whisky, bottled at 36.2% ABV. I bought this from the rep, they add cold brew coffee into the barrel with the whisky, which sounds interesting... I remark how sweet the nose is, saying the whisky must have a strong caramel-vanilla note from bourbon barrels (she argues that the unblended whisky has no caramel notes, just strong vanilla, which fools your nose into thinking sweet... okay, sure). The samples were on ice. So I get home, taste the whisky, and find it is far sweeter than I was expecting... I start reading the back of the bottle, trying to learn more... they’ve added cane sugar and vanilla extract as well as the coffee! WTF... this should be labelled as a Liqueur then! Especially being bottle below 40% ABV, you can’t call it whisky... you’ve added flavour to it... this is basically a bottled cocktail (I recommend adding bitters and calling it an old fashioned), I’ve also since met one of the owners and he confirmed to me the whisky is sourced, theirs is still aging... the whole thing makes me a little angry.

my first whiskey was four roses single barrel, pretty harsh first experience but i still enjoyed that more than the 1792 small batch I was convinced to buy from an employee because they didnt have eagle rare. yeah "its very close" they said.... lies...
I tried that "whiskey" at Total Wine once, absolutely hated it. Hard pass for me. Also I broke a Glencairn about a month ago by accidentally knocking it off of my drying mat in the kitchen. It wasn't knocked off very hard and only fell a few feet, but when it hit the tile floor that thing exploded like a bomb. The entire kitchen floor was covered in tiny shards of foot killing glass.
I have never gotten the big hype over Fireball, people act like it is some new great invention that changed time and space lol. I was drinking Dr. McGillcudy's Cinnamon Whiskey 20-25 years ago, same taste, same concept,,and same horrendous hangover.
Fireball is classified as a whisky liqueur and the same with the crown royal flavoured line probably because the alcohol is too low to be called a whiskey and its flavoured.
My first time, I was 11 too, when I asked for a Rob Roy and meant to ask for a Roy Rogers at a fancy hotel lobby bar in London. Yuck, but oh how times have changed.
Hey I have a question: I just bought a JP Wiser's ten year tripple barrelled which is sold in climate smart plastic bottle instead of glass. Would you say that could affect the taste and/or the longevity of the whiskey?
Ok... I have an idea, make rum cake but with whisk(e)y's, like straight up caramel bourbon and an Irish that's all butter or short bread and maybe a smokey scotch, it could be a tribe episode or for dry week since you cook off 99.9% of the alcohol
Plenty of vanilla can be abstracted from new barrels. Why in the name of all that is holy would they want to adulterate a whisky by artificially add vanilla? Sadly I’ve seen similar things happen in wine when distilleries in California make a “Port” (which is b.s., because port comes from Portugal) put extracts in their wine (vanilla, coffee etc) to flavor it. It’s pure vomit.
Such cool guys, even with horrible sounding bourbon, I'm new to the channel having watched the vault for at least a month binge watching episodes, whisky beast are awesome lol, I'm very interested in alcohol, vodka , whisk(e)y , I'd like to try more brands but usually the budget favors a 20$ drunk, Smirnoff or Wisers Mickey lol, but seems that my inexperience in tasting whisky leaves me not knowing what to buy, I know I do not like crown Royal I don't mind Wisers whisky but at the same time don't care for it's rye taste, I would like to drink straight whiskey, I mostly mix with coke, but I'm looking for a enjoyable drink, if it leaves me plastered it's so nice that is fine, corn whisky seems to be where I should try next maybe a bourbon, I'd never even tried jack Daniels but I don't like coconut from the videos, from watching videos it sounds like a whiskey that would leave Daniel out to sea blackout drunk with no memory how he got there, if Daniel knows a good tasting whisky I'd like to hear what tastes good
When you described heavy sweet vanilla I went 😱 oh well it's the thought that counts . Do you think he was attracted to the label or the description of the product . I have never gotten the big hype over Fireball, people act like it is some new great invention that changed time and space lol. I was drinking Dr. McGillcudy's Cinnamon Whiskey 20-25 years ago, same taste, same concept,,and same horrendous hangover.
You could definitely find a time and place for that "whiskey"...like on the gums of a teething infant.
Or cough syrup for a toddler
Do a comparison of all the jim beam flavored line. see Daniels reactions. (personally like jim apple and red stagg)
Would you say that could affect the taste and/or the longevity of the whiskey?
bmsmusician as a home distiller, I distain using plastic. It’s safe if the alcohol is 40% but anything higher can dissolve some plastics
Good lord! Was that Glencairn made by Tupperware?
Ok... I have an idea, make rum cake but with whisk(e)y's, like straight up caramel bourbon and an Irish that's all butter or short bread and maybe a smokey scotch, it could be a tribe episode or for dry week since you cook off 99.9% of the alcohol
What are your top five bourbons?
Plenty of vanilla can be abstracted from new barrels. Why in the name of all that is holy would they want to adulterate a whisky by artificially add vanilla? Sadly I’ve seen similar things happen in wine when distilleries in California make a “Port” (which is b.s., because port comes from Portugal) put extracts in their wine (vanilla, coffee etc) to flavor it. It’s pure vomit.
Such cool guys, even with horrible sounding bourbon, I'm new to the channel having watched the vault for at least a month binge watching episodes, whisky beast are awesome lol, I'm very interested in alcohol, vodka , whisk(e)y , I'd like to try more brands but usually the budget favors a 20$ drunk, Smirnoff or Wisers Mickey lol, but seems that my inexperience in tasting whisky leaves me not knowing what to buy, I know I do not like crown Royal I don't mind Wisers whisky but at the same time don't care for it's rye taste, I would like to drink straight whiskey, I mostly mix with coke, but I'm looking for a enjoyable drink, if it leaves me plastered it's so nice that is fine, corn whisky seems to be where I should try next maybe a bourbon, I'd never even tried jack Daniels but I don't like coconut from the videos, from watching videos it sounds like a whiskey that would leave Daniel out to sea blackout drunk with no memory how he got there, if Daniel knows a good tasting whisky I'd like to hear what tastes good
Daniel Mad! Daniel Smash.....just not a glencairn.
Marvel missed a trick. Some hulkbuster thing made outta fine crystal!
Can you really compare a hobbit to the hulk. The hulk smashes cars and buildings, Daniel couldn't even break a glencarin
First time I was 12 and it was either black label or glenlivet 12.
You guys gotta try Glynnevan from Nova Scotia!!
When you described heavy sweet vanilla I went 😱 oh well it's the thought that counts . Do you think he was attracted to the label or the description of the product . That might be a good topic if not yet covered. Have you ever purchased bourbon or whiskey by the looks of the label and was it good or bad . Once again enjoyed your review
Just curious did Rex forget to take off his shoes or is the wee man actually getting shorter
If there’s a bottle of bourbon or any other whiskey I want to send y’all but I don’t like in the area how do I do that?
How do I get invited into the vault and drink with you guys?
That necklace chain thing is literally giving me headaches. My eyes keep trying to focus on it but can't xD
Hey guys... Could you review Oban Little Bay please?
If you check the Highland section of the vault channel I think they already did🖒
Are glencairn that strong?!? ... or is daniel that weak... ; )
want to se you blend fireball ad not your father
I didn't have high hopes for this one, considering the brand has made their name in the alco-pop business.
That glencairn was like, "hell no, I ain't goin' out on such a bad whiskey. I must live."
*Survives*
The amount of vanilla left in the glass kept it together
Daniel, wouldn’t all that saltiness affect your palette?
never seen you try southern comfort
Yea, This is one I asked for months ago!
how many bottles kills do you have?in the Vault
Fireball is only 33% is that enough to legally clasify as whisk(e)y
I bought a bottle because after the rebate my cost was $1.98.How do you pass up whiskey that is that cheap
