After an exciting week for the digital camera world I got really frustrated with the negative reactions by the photographers community. That's why I shoot film and am close to the point of preferring film to digital! Honestly, thank you Joey for keeping the film community up and running, for keeping it real with all your videos and effort, tips and tricks. You're the man!
Digital definitely has it's place, but if I'm trying to shoot something for longevity it's definitely gonna be on film.
It is frustrating to see how every new camera must have at least 1fps more than the previous one, and 8k, and 1B focus points, and what not. The good thing about this, though, is that "old" (read: released 1-2 year ago) digital cameras will get cheaper :)
I believe digital and film are two different tools for the same goal that is to make an image. It's like a fork and a spoon, you can use both to eat food but sometimes one is better than the other. Or you could eat with your hands, also knows as using a Holga.
Haha loved how you said it. Thanks for the mention!
Aaaaoooowwwwssss!
Classic lenses podcast is a great listen for both film and digital shooters!
These are great. Sharing is caring. Thanks man!
loving this series!!
thanks so much!
Dude, I really dig you making a news feed on photography. Definitely like to see more of this.
dont you worry! many more to come!! I'm really having a great time doing this!!
Love this series, please keep it going!
I plan on it! When ever I have free time I'm gonna put one out :)
Really loving this series! Thanks for taking the time to make this
Having fun doing it, so it's a win win!
I highly recommend “ANALOG INSIGHT “ That guy (Max) is from Germany and makes one of best videos , reviews of film cameras and film generally!!!
already subbed :) good stuff!
lipowa26 agreed t be worth mentioning in joey’s videos.
Really like this advice column!
Glad you're digging it!
Maybe you and Derek should make a podcast yourself containing film news etc?
I was thinking of just taking the audio from these videos and putting it out as a podcast
Love it again, Dude! It's so cool to know what's going throughout the community.
I got my first 2 rolls of film back today and will be recording a "my first roll of film" tonight. I can't believe how good it turned out.
Heck yes! Welcome to the club! Haha
Video's up if you wanna take a look. I'd love to hear your thoughts!! Either way, have a beautiful Friday, my dude. ruclips.net/video/j8OjW5-yeBk/видео.html
Film makes me feel the image more ... I just wish it wasn't quite as expensive :) Great work and great to have you back!
Love your videos 🙌🏼
Thanks so much Tim!
I love these, keep them coming!! I really dig your videos, and miss the beard lol ;P
thanks so much! the beard will probably be back some day! ;)
That one with flipping the film around sounds a lot like a couple you can buy, one is Rollie redbird and another is Kono Rotwild. have seen some shots from the Redbird film and it has a red tint to it which is similar to the Kono Rotwild as well. I have a roll of Rotwild I shot and waiting to get developed here so I'm looking forward to seeing how they look.
I've looked into some of that stuff. It's on my list of things to explore!
Better with the music, for sure. Still loving this series!
thanks for the feedback! slowly growing, and constantly trying to improve the channel!!
Just keep doin ya thing!
The 24 hour podcasts sounds like a challenge dude haha!
Don't tempt me!
nice
Thanks dude!
Anyone know what Tim Makeups has been doing. He’s not made a video in 4 months.
Also Active capture and A M Brikaer?
Jas Mann his podcast
I wish the Contax ii was rereleased not T2
You should shutout some smaller analog youtube channels like "FIlm freak, authentic aesthetic, thirty five studio"
If you're into the more art side of photography, the Magic Hour podcast is highly recommended. www.magichourpodcast.org
thanks! ill give it a listen!!
That Shirt, Awesome
Thanks dude! Dexter's has a few good ones out :)
Travis has a good channel but the worst grade known to mankind. Those completely blown highlights are a travesty to any film photog.
