The support phone number for Microsoft has a recording that tells you to search online for help then immediately says goodbye and hangs up on you. I called because I wanted to talk to someone. So many companies want YOU to fix your own problems. They have no problem taking your money... then do everything to hide their support dept, if it even exists.

Exactly I’m calling to get my 60 day account unsuspended or at least shortened to maybe 20 days or a couple of days because it’s outrageous. You expect me to pay for my Xbox live still to not be able to ride on games that I spent money on that battle passesfor two months, but you can’t fix my suspension, but you can still take my money

I am so grateful to you. What a joy to have this video. For 2 yrs I paid for 365 Office and could not use it. Product key was on old laptop which was dead and could not be retrieved for new laptop. Unable to reach Microsoft to cancel billing or get it to work. What a nightmare. This is so unacceptable. It needs to be escalated to the Attorney General's Office. They fleece us and zero support no phone no store no office, and a website that sends you in circles. Truly offensive non-support and abuse of customers. Thank god for RUclips and folks like you who are my heroes. I am so very, very grateful for this video.

My god. So this is what it takes (search RUclips) to be able to speak to a Microsoft agent. What is the world coming to? I can't begin to tell you all that I went through trying to find a way to speak to an agent. Thank you for doing this video.
Thank you so much for your help. It took me a while to reach them. After chat and phone conversations over 2 hours they hang up on me, I told them it was a medical emergency to get into my email to order my medicine and chat with my doctor. They should hire you for tech support and public relation. Thanks again.
Hello, I am trying to start a chat with Microsoft support but I can't seem to do that would you kindly tell me how you did it every time I go to the contact support it takes me to a different page where it asks what product is it for and what category but after that there is no option to chat or call a Microsoft agent. All I am greeted with is something like change my password or username. I would kindly appreciate the help

OMG, You are a Godsend. I spent 4 to 5 hours trying to figure out how to get through to Microsoft. I think I almost got caught up in a scam in my desparation. You are a type of saviour.
This video is not valid now, at least not for me. Followed the instructions but there is no Contact Support button now but, instead, Sign In to Contact Support. Which I can't do since that is the problem to begin with.
Then you must create a secondary account to get access to chat.

Update to your video, MS has plugged the access route you describe, the irony is I cannot log into MS, so followed your suggestions. But NOW, when you should have reached the "Contact an agent" you are presented with (sign in to contact an agent) full circle, Microsoft are getting worse, they simply do NOT want to engage with their customers, at least, Retail customers.
Just happened to me…😒 Apple had a security leak about a month and half ago and since September 1st, (currently Nov 2, 2023) I can’t log in to my email account which is very ANNOYING…. I’m beyond pissed off with Microsoft.

Thank you. I downloaded Windows 10 to update my computer. It worked okay but somehow I got locked out of my email and keep going in circles to gain access. Whatever I try doesn't help. I have tried to fix access to email but I wonder if I have made it worse.

Update for this method, but if you choose XBOX:
There is no support. There's an automated system and a single form they'll have you fill out endlessly. No humans. The phone number available online goes to a pre-recorded message telling you to go to the online form.
My issue is that I switched phone numbers while I had my Xbox put away, now I can't log into the account and use my game progress. It's my "home Xbox" so I can play the games on another account, but not on any other console.
My only fix is to get my old phone number back for a month _just to get a _*_FUCKING VERIFICATION CODE_*
I enjoy using windows over apple, but my god, if I needed help on anything, it's challenging and a hell journey.

What's irritating, they still take my monthly 365 subscription. SO what am I paying for, actively taking steps to move away from 365 after they locked my account for 1 month because I changed the password. The acknowledged too change, now, when trying to log into my account, message states NOT a Valid acct. AND to top it all there is NO way to email support. So, lets have a look at Linux, it certainly cannot be any worse then Microsoft, what a bunch of Muppets.

I’m unable to recover my outlook account. I forgot my password but I finally found my original password but now it says my account is blocked because of too many failed login attempts. And I have no recovery information setup and no recovery phone number.
I am still logged in, in my app. But I cannot reset my password because of no recovery information
didnt work. All that happens is an error message saying : HTTP ERROR 400. The size of the request headers is too long. And to make things worse, I can't sumbit a thread or question on the community because it says something doesnt match . Something suspicios is going on with microsoft!

My account was just locked trying to unlock it was the worst thing I've ever gone through in my life. You literally have to follow these guidelines exactly to talk to an agent.
I made a Microsoft account to link with my PSN so I could play sea of thieves and after playing for about a week it unlinked automatically and I can’t remember the email for the Microsoft account I created and now I can’t even contact anyone at all because I can’t remember the email

The page you show at time stamp 2:54 is designed to be circular, after going through all the pages you end up right where you started, talk about frustrating, I think this is deliberate, to make people give up, thus reducing the Agent Support load, perhaps should stop buying up American farms and concentrate on providing his customers with efficient support.
