At 64 years of age (at the time of this recording) the man still has amazing singing chops!

John was the best ever lead singer of Kansas. No comparison. Vinyl Confessions rocks. What a voice.

Yes he was. I knew John from Highschool in Long Beach way back in the late 70s and early 80s.

I’ve been fortunate to see Kansas several times, both with Walsh & Elefante, they’re INCREDIBLE with either singing lead!! There’s not a lot of Bands that can say that!!!! It’s the MUSIC MAN, AWESOME MUSICIANSHIP!!!!!!

Agree 100%! JE was my favorite lead singer for Kansas, though. Hope to be able to see him live one more time. Have 2 other videos from this amazing concert on my Channel. Thanks for watching and for commenting, Howard. Stay tuned...

I love everything that John represents as a Christian artist. The song he performed with his brother, "Young and Innocent" from the St. Elmo's Fire soundtrack, is a killer song, performance and production.

Always dead on pitch and fabulous voice even now. I’m a huge Kansas fan and having seen them many times I really need to see John live-he KILLS it every time. Love his work-especially Revolution of Mind.

I forgot John Elfante still performs, and holy hell does he still sound like he did back then.
It's a shame he didn't take up their offer to rejoin when Walsh retired, he said prayer told him it wasn't the way. All respect to his decision but I would have loved to see them perform more from his albums if he was back.

John always gives his best, on the other hand the guitarist butchered the solo! Why attempt to play a solo if its not the signature solo Kerry wrote??
