Remember that recovery is not linear and this is just a bump on the road. All you gotta do is keep on going and don't give up! 👍

That’s how I’m trying to frame it in my mind 😭 Normally when I go through this, I see it as having to restart my progress all the way from the beginning but this time, I’m taking it as a lesson learned and hopefully figure out what triggers this so I don’t do it again 🤞

Hello. You dont want to hear this because it's not what you want. But i used to have BED and followed very similar patterns to you. BED is triggered by restriction as well as other things. But you are restricting. You are forcing yourself to exercise when you don't love it, you are cycling between eating not enough and then binging, you body never feels safe. You body is in a confused state of fight or flight because it never knows what is going on. The only way I recovered was to stop all exercise, stop all thoughts of weight loss and dieiting and have therapy to address all the emotional issues I had. Sending you so much love x

Yeah for me food is also this one thing that makes me both happy and depressed at the same time:( The worst thing is when I binge I can't even enjoy the taste and the whole process just after few bites becomes pointless but it is already too late to reverse anything. So at the end I can't even get the happiness and comfort that I thought the food should give me. That sucks. Hope you don't feel discouraged, we all tend to relapse at some point. Know that you are not alone and keep fighting! I really believe that you can overcome this cycle❤

This is exactly how I start to feel when I’m binging! You can see the happiness from the food disappear pretty quickly but it always feels like I’m in too deep at that point 😅 I’m taking this as 2 steps forward and 1 step back instead of as starting all the way from the beginning and hopefully I can learn from this weekend!

I can see it is truly scary to have binge urges in a public space like a bookstore. It is hard for me to personallyr feel your feelings -- I feel too scared to even touch anything edible when I'm stressed. I don't know whether this will help or hurt, so take or ignore: a fasting and meditation silent retreat might help to reset hunger and satiety sensing.

I might have to try meditating honestly just to help clear my mind. I’ve actually watched a lot of people vlog about going through other disorders and though I personally can’t feel what they feel, I still find that connection of struggling with food in general, just on opposite sides of the spectrum. I hope food can become a safe place for you someday!! Just not too safe so you don’t end up like me 😅

I'm sorry that you've been struggling. Maybe you'd benefit from therapy or something. Trying to figure it all out on your own can be overwhelming. I really hope you find your balance and happiness.

Thank you for this!! I’ve looked into therapy with my insurance and though it’s not in my best interest financially, I’m hoping to eventually find a time where I can use the resources freely! ❤️ Dang that American Healthcare system 😅

Never consider this as a failure. Count it as feedback, so next time when you go out to buy something specifically, just go for it and do not try to go shopping or even spontaneously looking in shops !
Also, the weight you gained is all water weight just go back on track again and trust me this will flush out on its own .. keep going u r doing well
