The fact that everyone needs a subscription makes absolute sense but at the same time it kills the point for most people and use cases
I’ll just share my screen from discord and everyone will be able to watch for free, but I suppose the intention is what counts, Apple
I dont think it makes too much sense because whats the difference between screen sharing a movie vs having those same people over my house and watching the movie on one screen?
Imagine watching a movie with your family in the living room but everybody in the room has to sign in to their own account in order to watch the same movie on the same screen.
At that point theres no reason to have people over because they can just watch the movie themselves on their own devices, thus defeating the purpose.

When SharePlay was announced, Apple demo'd having a _Messages-only_ SharePlay session; that is, the cameras and mics were turned off so that everybody could just be silently messaging. I couldn't get this to work with a friend. We can turn off our cameras, of course, but the PIP windows are still floating around. Is this ever going to be possible?

Can I SharePlay on two Apple TV’s? Like both of us use our Apple TV and then FaceTime each other?

Hello. I am having a problem with my iPhone 6s. The screen is not turning on, no matter what. I feel the thing that shows the screen (forgot its name) is damaged or loose. Does buying a show on iTunes and FaceTiming someone in my family sharing network (wife traveling), work? Does that fulfill the criteria of both needing a subscription? I can’t seem to get this very use case to work.

I think Apple TV+ should provide Closed Captioning (CC) and subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing (SDH) in Latin American Spanish and Castilian Spanish for shows made for preschoolers like Stillwater, Doug Unplugs, Get Rolling with Otis, ad Helpsters.

So if I purchase and own a movie in Apple TV, can I share play this movie over FaceTime with a friend who does not have Apple TV subscription? If not, what about if I purchase it in iTunes and share play? I don't know if the pruchase are shared between Apple TV and iTunes.

To use SharePlay both participants would need to have access to or own that same content. So in your example, the person you’d like to do a SharePlay FaceTime session with would also need to own that same movie.

My sister and I both try this 100X and it never. Ever. EVER WORKS. So annoying, paying all this money to be apart of a faulty apple ecosystem. They should SERIOUSLY Fix this.m
