To me, Peter is a lot more bratty and spoiled than Caillou. At least Caillou’s behavior is more understandable since he’s only 3 to 4. Meanwhile, Peter is 8 to 9 and should know better.
I’d argue both of their behaviour is understandable. Peter is a little kid who’s been shown that the “correct behaviour” is being annoyed at Henry. He desperately wants to meet his parents’ impossibly high expectations, and one of the main behaviours they’ve modelled for him is “call out Henry’s every move that could potentially be seen as wrong”. I’m not saying that he’s a particularly nice kid but, realistically, he’s a traumatised kid (honestly, one of the worst parts about Golden Child trauma is that it’s much harder to recognise than Scapegoat trauma. At least when you’re the scapegoat you eventually realise “my parents treated me objectively way worse than my sibling”, as the golden child you’re likely stuck for ages thinking “but I wasn’t treated badly, they treated my sibling badly”).

Peter when you think about it does this a lot over the series. It's almost as if he doesn't want to share the spotlight with Henry as he craves the approval and attention as he wants to keep the "perfect" image.

I will never condone or justify Peter’s actions. Yes, he may be annoying due to his bratty behaviour and he may not be one of the best kids, but I also feel sympathy for him along with Henry as Peter is expected to be perfect by his parents and he always gets upset if he couldn’t achieve such simple things (example: He was upset that he didn’t get a trophy at the school’s race) and believes he has to be perfect in everything.
Peter is the type people who will trip you during a zombie outbreak without a second thought.
While, Henry would make sure all his friends are safe.
in the episode “horrid henry, horrid boy?”, there is a part where henry has to fill a form from the school. he says them as children have to fill it but mum takes it and she will fill it in when she isn’t supposed to. it asked about how much tv, sweets, etc. about henry. she says that “henry has none of tv or sweets. he does homework even when he is given double, and he makes things in his free time.”they ended up getting a message from the school saying that they arent normal for his age. so they should take a course to learn how to be bettet parents straight away. fuming francesca and silly simon had just got exposed for their actions. it also shows that they have high expectations on henry. they want those expectations for the golden child who is peter. they got exposed real hard…

3:53 is anyone gonna talk about the drawing of a man with a blue and orange clothes yelling? Maybe Henry tried to draw his dad. Even if his dad is not the meanest one, he probably feels his dad is a bit more angry while his mom uses passive aggression. Think of the time when Peter sprayed water at Henry with the hose? When his dad came, his dad was more angry then his mom usually is
Peter gets Henry into trouble because that's the only way he gets any attention. The parents don't really give positive attention, they're happy to ignore a well-behaved child. As shown by them just doing their own thing as Peter tries to talk to them.
Dad spent the entire episode trying to stay awake to be honest, he did at least say morning and night to Henry at the beginning. It's possible Dad was used to Mum and Peter's bad behaviour and was too cowardly to stand up for it as he does make more effort with Henry in that season. Henry even went out the way to ask his boss to reduce his workload as he was struggling in one episode.
Yeah I think it’s pretty clear that Peter secretly likes it when Henry acts Horrid just so he can Get him into trouble & play the victim act
And him being overly sensitive is probably because of his parents coddling and babying him as well.

When I was growing up, I always found it crazy how Peter is able to get away with so much, even if he too fears the wrath of their parents.

Another example is the same episode that was first seen in the video. When Henry got his comic, Peter snatched it from Henry’s hands. That’s right, didn’t tell Mum, he SNATCHED it from Henry’s hands!
How did Fuming Francesca's parents raise her? Was she exactly like Peter when she was his or Henry's age? Did she have any older or younger siblings/cousins/relatives that she tried getting into trouble?
I assume most parents would just scowl and just say, "That wasn't very nice, Peter. How would you like it if Henry did that to you?" instead of the other option, "Don't you have some mess to clean up, Peter! It's rude to laugh at others."

I'm sure you probably know why that episode stinks to high heaven since it's pretty reviled online. Just fake cry and set up the neighborhood pariahs because they usually bully you, even though it was only Eddy that gave Jimmy a wedgy and pretty much everyone, except Sarah laughed at him. Granted, he did have a right to be upset and his "friends", they really should have been framed alongside Double D and Ed. Not Jimmy's excuse of, "REvenge takes no PRISONERS!"

How would horrid henry likely turn out as an adult- OH as someone who was treated like Horrid Henry as a kid, and was also having a golden child elder brother, I can answer that question- Just like me, I live far far....FAR away from my family, I'm thriving well by myself and I do visual web designs. My parents seeing my success act like they were there for me every step of the way but didn't support my career or pay my tuition, my elder brother still leaves at their home burnt up and addicted to drugs and drinking. So likely Henry will probably find a career that his parents never supported and be successful, Peter might or might not be thriving too. Either way he will probably still be mentally challenged after all the stress and pressure his parents put him through. Peter and Henry sadly won't be friends at all but Henry will still care for Peter. Henry probably doesn't want anyone from his school to recognize him.
Henry will go on to be a successful musician with a massive online following, while Peter still lives with their parents, spending all his dole money on skunk and letting them solve all his problems for him.

It's not even Henry's fault. Like, I used to watch the show before, and i found it very dark. Like, Peter is trying to get him into trouble, but Henry was framed for everything he didn't do.
