Splash Mountain was a log flume attraction at Disneyland based on the animated sequences of the 1946 Disney classic, "Song of the South" starring the beloved Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear characters. Splash Mountain opened at Disneyland on July 17, 1989 and had the longest and steepest flume drop of it's era. Disneyland's Splash Mountain closed on May 31, 2023 after almost 34 years of operation.
