May I just say that I can appreciate where you are coming from.
I would say think of the way the world is on a macro scale as a pendulum.
When you have a pendulum in one direction it will swing to the opposite way in just as far as a direction.
Now consider that the world has been a highly masculine driven place for such a long time... Now it's swinging in the other direction.
Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just is.
The problem is when toxic traits drive an individual and as a result a larger group of people.
Toxic masculinity in our world's past as you know has driven us into many problems as a larger society.
Toxic femininity can do the same thing.
Now consider as well, the whole system we are built on to support the large scale is built off of profit.
How can you make profit? By creating a need.
And what better way to make a need than to divide people over topics like this?
So many products and services can be offered as a result.
Just a thought, I thought I would share.

such a common idea... the world has been masculine...says who...? toxic msculinity, you mean men being men? women shouldnt be where they are now. they should be home caring for their families... not trying to be CEOs. if you cant see that, youre lost.

believing that things work like a pendulum is an easy way to reassure yourself that things swing around a center point of 'good' or 'equality' or 'truth'. I wish they did, but there is no evidence of this. For as long as a shared logic - and a shared reality - can be maintained, time will move humans toward shared goals. That reality is now fractured.
You're right that profit incentives are at the core of the problem in modern times, but you're VERY wrong that people are divided over topics like this because media tells them to be. We are divided because there is no shared reality. There is no such thing as toxic masculinity. We are animals. What you view as 'toxic' - even the most vile acts like rape and war - are bred into our species.. and surely you know that the victors are the ones who write our histories. The world isn't 'masculine driven' and never has been. Men went to war over women. Men build houses FOR women. Do you think men would care about material profits if women weren't selecting them for those things? (they wouldn't)
