Ok guys a few things here. I offer this as a way that is 100% faster than any listing process on the computer (pc or mac) for the simple fact there is no faster way to add photos to your listing than taking them directly through the app itself. This in itself will speed up the listing process tremendously. Additionally, once you get the hang of the app you will see for yourself why I changed from only listing on the computer (I have a high end PC) to listing only with the app on the phone. Give it a shot, try it one day and give it a chance. You can always go back to the old way.
Secondly, I do know it is "sole" and not "soul" lol. Unfortunately, the phone's dictation put soul in the wrong context however for the most part this feature is very useful and is much faster than typing it in yourself.
As always, thank you for watching the video and supporting the channel. I hope you find this video helpful. - Flippin Aint Easy

Hey Jon Great Topic! I can See The Benefit Listing with the Phone. I say this Is Faster when you have Inventory with hundreds or thousands of Item UPCs Because It Is Nearly Impossible to Create Templates for that many Items Variance. But For Resellers who only Deals with just a hand full of Item Variance The PC is still faster. Take Shoes For an example and You Only Sell in Mens Shoes You can Have about 3 or 4 Templates with all the General Item Specifics Filled out (about 90 to 95%) and also have the Descriptions Template Out as well. Now That Is just 1 template just for shoes so if you sell boots, sneakers and slippers you will have 4 templates so when you go out and buy inventory and you get a mix of boots shoes sneakers and slippers your Listing is very quick. In my early years of reselling I thought, Like Everyone else the listing was the pain in the ass but what I've learned it is not the listing it is the prep & photos that is the pain in the ass there are ways to streamline the process but that takes man power and an assembly line need to be put in place. So when I realized this early on I focused On This instead of Listing and I tell You Pumping out 200 listing per week is only a few hours process. This is possible because all the work had been streamlined in the back end. A lot of people think Turning a reselling hobby Into a business is a cake walk but they will soon learn, they all do later on when the growing pain presents itself. Some will have the foresight to catch it quick but 9.9 out of 10 will not and that is just reality not social media. Take My experience for what you will and good luck and If I can give one advice Listen to Jon or at least try and listen He Is on the right track. Seeya In the Next Live guys!

Thanks for the video. I do a lot of things that you do as well. The one thing I’m trying to figure out is how to list faster and I’m guessing that taking the pictures first of everything and writing down the details on a notebook and then you can just throw it into the App on your phone. I do all my listings from my phone and it’s so much faster for me unless I have to bulk edit on my laptop. eBay has added backgrounds that you can select into your pictures and I love that. Question is doesn’t eBay only like the white background?

    • @FlippinAintEasy
      @FlippinAintEasy  4 месяца назад +1

The white background is more for Google Shopping and what they recommend which helps to drive external views back to ebay.

    Yes Jon.
The app is the only way for me.
I usually take pictures of 5 items first.
I sell a lot of really similar items so I use my own active or solds to make the new listing off of.
No surprises using someone else's listing.
I try to keep my listings a little generic overall. Minimum specifics.
Sometimes I only need to change the brand, color, price and description. Then add the pics already on the phone. Done.
I just did 8 listings in 35 minutes. Nothing fancy.
Some pics were taken outside on my clean driveway and the others on my dining room floor while I was sitting on an office chair.
I can list anywhere. In my dining room, living room, garage, outside, in my car, etc. We don't even need wifi. A decent cell signal can get it all done.
I first saw this method watching Ryan Roots a couple of years ago.
He was out sourcing and listed an item in the back of his vehicle immediately after buying it.
    This looks too simple.
    It works.

I recently bought a hat at a yard sale and has time to kill and had it listed in less than 5 minutes (only because i used photoroom to remove the background before listing.

Mens and Youth are one in the same..generally they use 7 as the cutoff before it turns to Mens at 7.5. Also having the size at the end is very bad for search. The search results are truncated for one so they can’t see size. Also the way people search is generally brand, model, gender, size, then whatever else you want to add.

OK Jon. I just tried it. Can't believe how quick it is sitting in my living room in my recliner. One question if you will. Yesterday I sent out a 20% markdown & have no best offers turned on for those items. I am getting ebay sending me eligible offers to response too. What do I do since I am at the lowest price on those items. Thanks in advance for you comment.

    • @FlippinAintEasy
      @FlippinAintEasy  Год назад

That is a tough one. I like to give the lowest offer I can (5%) on items like those. Not because I think the buyer will jump at 5%, but moreso for the search boost the item receives when you send out offers.

I don't think that it is faster.
    1. Glass touch screen & less accurate typing (voice is inaccurate as well).
    2. Slower smartphone compute power, slower wireless internet.
    3. A lot of us who are stepping up our game from content like yours have a photo+ship station, heated inventory & a listing PC in the same room, so using a smartphone doesn't speed up the process. By making fun of us (members in live chat the other day) saying we are outdated is going to lead the new comers to believe it is actually faster when that isn't the case from what I have seen. We need to see a controlled timespan of 20 listed 20 sold on each & how good the quality of those listing is after that time is completed as well. My 02.
    Smartphone Advantages
    1. Mobility.
    2. Takes 5seconds less time because you don't have to plug in a usb cord per session.
    PC Advantages
    1. Faster wired Internet upload speeds.
    2. Compressed photos in a batch process that is repeatable.
    3. Lots of fingers to type with, speeding up all click & button style actions & making them more precise.
    4. If your phone is your modem or entertainment then your phone will be freed up, phone not in use during listing.
    5. Way faster compute power.
    6. Tons of resources available to you & a lot less clunky to setup on a desktop.
You can defend the smartphone all you want but there are other ways to list and I don't think that they are as slow as you think that they are, all depends on your setup & skill with that setup. Let me put it this way; Why is it that Xbox players complain about people who use a PC mouse? Accuracy.

    • @FlippinAintEasy

I don’t recall making fun of anyone on the livestream by the way. You keep mentioning that and if you have distain for the host then I’m confused why you waste your time with the content. The reason for this video as with the other stuff i put out is not to indoctrinate anyone. It is to give ideas to sellers that may just want to learn a different way. Most sellers have different set ups and in my case i use my phone because my pc is in the office and my inventory is stored in the garage. In my case i want the inventory where i list and i have no interest in logging the inventory into my office to list. I can create listings or drafts and fix the listings on the pc in batches in i do choose.
As for your remark about making fun, simply put and this is the truth, there are actually many sellers out there who are stuck on 2005 eBay who could benefit from allowing themselves to change and adapt to innovation. If this isn’t you, I’m not sure why you have allowed this to strike a nerve.

Ebay has been slowly moving away from the computer version to the app. Most traffic (sales, messages, offers and listing) are performed on the app today.
Our listings need to look good on the app where most reselling commerce is done.
The only time I go to the computer is for maintenance like sales or bulk editing.
It took me a couple of weeks to really adjust to the app. It was so much faster than than the desktop/laptop.
My biggest time saver is the pictures are right there on the same device and they upload pretty fast, even without wifi.
If you are a perfectionist and feel you need to go through extra steps, good luck sticking with the past.
Some people won't even give it a try.

I use both pc and iphone. I take pics of several items on iphone, then on pc I research and create listings then save as draft. After I go to ebay app on iphone and add pics then save as draft. I go back to my pc and edit pics, double check listing and list. I cannot just use the app because I hate writing the description I get lots of errors I have to correct I rather write everything on my pc.
