These are fantastic instruments. Bought mine in early 2021-- same "Mystic Surf Green" finish, but mine weighs in a hair over 8Lbs. Changed the strings to Fender Flats shortly after buying it and haven't looked back. The neck has been extremely stable-- didn't even need a truss adjustment when doing the string change. My only gripe is when rolling back on the volume knob, the tone loss is VERY noticeable; but heck, that's an easy fix. Even at $1700 it's a solid investment, ready to go right out of the box. The case feels a little flimsy compared to earlier versions, but several years down the road and it's still as good as new~
I own and play an American Professional II 5 string Precision bass in Miami Blue color and maple neck. It's a great bass, and I really enjoy it. The tone is exceptional. You cannot go wrong with it.
Get a Jazz bass then. Everyone knows the tone from a P resides in the chunk of the neck. Obviously I'm only joking as the tone is from the tort pickguard!

Got say: John, awsome demo of the instruments SONICS. Thx.
i dont know if you do older guitars but you should do a video on the gibson billie joe armstrong es-137
Great bass, but unbelievably awesome playing by John 👋👋👋👋
what amp are you using
Nice sounding P bass.
Nice bass ans video but pretty heavy for a 4 string. I wonder if 9½ lbs is the norm for these?
9lbs is about average from what I’ve seen so yeah it’s a little heavy
Ps seem to average 8 1/2- 9lbs where the Js seem to average 9- 9 1/2lbs on this model.
Good looking Bass !
It sucks that I have to purchase a MIM because the American one has a log of a neck.

The pro 2s have a thinner neck.
