The shoulder armor is simple but it really works. It ties up well with the face and the knee armor. The kit is giving out a Jinroh wolf brigade kind of vibe.
I went from not really liking 30MM, to really loving them, and now overwhelmed by them. Lol they are so great, but soooo many kits and option sets, I can’t keep up
The bit of the manual in 2:21 is actually a condensed version of the instructions for those already familiar with building 30MM kits, so you can just have that more as a guide to parts and less with the actual instructions.
I hope to see more of Zach kitbash of 30MM kits. Whenever I see other custom kit bash I'm really impressed on different builds it can make. 30 MM kits are really versatile.
I like this one - probably my favorite 30MM kit in the lineup, or at least the first one that piqued my interest. A few of these would make for an excellent grunt display!
Have you seen the revernova? In my opinion it makes a really good duo with this army spinatio. Spinatio us the fast one and revernova is like the tank with the big gun
This "Second Wave" of Maxion faction kits look a lot better than the first. The Spinatia and Spinatio felt a little lacking, but maybe I'm just salty that you have to buy two Sengokus to get a symmetrical samurai 😠I'm eagerly awaiting my Spinatia Command type to come in, it looks awesome!
I'm REALLY glad most of the accessories for the Army Type are SMMETRICAL and ambidextrous, the Alto's rifle with it's handed stock turn me off the mold until we got the Air and Ground versions.
I built this kit and somehow it does not look like a large mech at all, and more like an human sized android. Thanks for showing the 2 upper holes at the "back armor". I too was wandering why the 2 upper holes on the "back armor" are not compatible with the shield and knife, but somehow other 30mm sized option parts from Bandai or Kotobukiya fits. And somehow the knife and shield fits other holes on the Spinatio.Weird.
Hi Zach, nice review, but do you find your old 30MM kits suddenly starts being loose over time? Especially on the arm and knee joints? (The double c-clip things).
I really like how these new ones look like. The old ones looked too much like a robot designed by someone who was told to make a robot without being told what it's for. the recent ones like this and the upcoming knight look like they have their own identity.
while i understand your point of view, i feel like maxion line feels like a robot to armor up rather than to customize like the alto where any part can be bulked up with other arm/leg/armor part. i feel like with the human like proportion of spinatio, bulking/customizing the body part might be less customizable than the other line
I always think that the legs on these kits are too short, or something about the proportion is not right. Maybe it's because of the knee joint being too big and exposed.

That’s true, there is a lot!

Ah yeah, nice
Have two of these one in normal colors and the other painted in a sand color. Finally got a command spinatia also.
Kinda had the idea from other videos and the Alto, but this one really triggers my urge to make a Metroid suit custom
This particular kit good for me in one aspect - strong torso connection, he literally can keep upper body

I like how he's essentially an armored up soldier (to me) and I still need to get a Spinatia
man, i really need to get back to this hobby, i miss it.
You should! These 30MM kits are fun and cheap

I am starting to treat this kits as a 1/35 scale because of their design and proportion.
I could definitely see that. For some of the sets, the 1/144 scale seems off
Hi Zach, nice review, but do you find your old 30MM kits suddenly starts being loose over time? Especially on the arm and knee joints? (The double c-clip things).
Yeah they wear out over time, try rubbing a tiny drop of super glue around the c-clip with a toothpick to tighten it back up.
@@shezmu24 Or floor polish, I forget the specific kind...
plastica do tend to break not for playability or posability but only for display!
the Spinatio's eyes makes me think of Baymax from Big Hero 6 for some reason, lol.
Zup Zack, thanks for the video bro 😎
Tactical-esque design is surely better than ninja design

While I still like the Alto, I can't get over its weird Eskimo head

No way Bandai's gonna make an anime, movie or OVA of this, huh?. Would be cool at least
I don't know if it's only for me but this looks a lot like a Spartan from Halo

Really chewing through that backlog, uh?
Trying! But there’s so much!
