that artorias pose is just spot on. Not to mention this spinatio's color scheme is pretty much identical. i think bandai knows what they're doing.
Not really a fun fact, but some sort of trivia (?)
The Knight Armour was designed by Shimada Humikane, same dude who makes all of the 30 minute sisters and the creator of Strike Witches (he also does work on GuP, Kantai Collection, Frame Arms Girls, etc)
Basically he knows how to do cool stuff (and i fucking love his work)

Spinatio went the Legend BB line, by also having a samurai, commando, and knight unit. Neat.
This style of design is awesome. It make me really hope that fromsoftware comes out with a mecha or robot-themed game in the soulsborne line-up.

@@Dastankbeets9486 fromsoft made this game called armor core. Its some mecha games and i think it has souls-ish combat(dont quote me on that). Pretty sure they havent made a new game on it in a while.

Oh yeah, I remember something called armoured core. Didn’t know from soft was behind it. I just hope they take another crack at it since they’ve explored the fantasy genre a lot and it would be a really exciting departure from the current souls aesthetic.

The Abysswalker Knight Artorias is one of the best boss fight to face in soulsborne and to see this kit looks and can emulate knight Artorias, I would love to create a gundam Artorias.

Cover up the 30mm ports, a bit of battle damage, and a good tattered cloak will defenitely give this a Dark Fantasy Mecha Vibe. Which I plan to do once I get a copy, for some reason shops in my country don't have updates on this yet...
Now I'm interested to buy a lot of this along with one Justice knight.
You know... Like make a battalion with Justice knight as captain and Spinatio knight as army 😎

I haven't gotten around to Elden Ring yet, but I'm so proud of it bringing the more mainstream crowd to Fromsoft. They deserve it after all this time.

Really like those ms with a knight vibe, and Perfect match with sigrun.
Happy to see a review of it since who knows when I will get mine. I ordered it a couple of days after it dropped on hlj and was dying to get it but know it's backordered. I even turned the dog mecha into a dragon mount with a detachable saddle. If anyone is curious I used the underwater vehicle for the saddle and then the optional wings and dragon head to complete the look.
I just got into 30mm because of a sale at my area yesterday. Glad to see that there are new models coming out!
For whatever reason I love knight looking mecha, so this is like a dream come true for me

Just finished building this, and the only issue is that the shoulders were kinda loose, but putting the armor on it fixed that somewhat. The sword also likes to slide out of the hand

I just ordered this kit.
The only reason is I ordered it was the to take the side hip armour and arm armour to add it to my Spinatio Army Type. Not really into sword/knight type mechs.

I really want to get my buddy to print some custom parts to make it look like Artorias better might even get a zoid to make Sif so that they can be reunited
The sword from rabiot weapon pack will do justice for this model
I have one in my backlog and whenever I finally get around to building it, I'm tempted to try it out with the Injustice Weapons from Build Divers.
Honestly with this, people could now make a Arthur/Artoria mecha hell we could finally make all of the knights of the round table be it from fate or just the norm version of the kotrt especially with people who don’t have a 3D printer or people who can’t afford to buy enough filaments or have enough time😊

We really need a knight themed weapon set for this kit. One that had a mace that can also be converted into a flail, a pole arm like a lance or a halberd, and a ranged weapon like maybe a crossbow.
Made a Guts Berserker armor custom with my ninja Spinatio might cop this to add some extra bits to it 👀
I got the metal build Knight Gundam and it ended up being my favorite Gundam. The Knight aesthetic with the cape looks so good in poses.

the colours, proportions, and the head crest kinda reminds me of one of the MSGIBO mobilesuits
had me thinking it finally released! I've been wanting to pick accouple of these up since they announced it! It reminds me of Knight Runners from 'Knights and Magic' so much!!!

to be honest a dark souls mecha game would be pretty cool. the whole thing can be about immortality by sacrificing humanity. forced conformity by a cult of machines that are connect to a slowly decaying hive mind. the who aesthetic could be changing your own machine body to do new things during a fight like adding legs that make you slide when you crouch to run and creates a spin heavy attack which probably makes a weak weapon stronger. using a throwing knife gun to disrupt your enemies movement to counter attack during a attack opening or grappling hook to escape or attack. the cool part is we realize humans are much smaller then the mechs, we see little villages vs giant mech cities and humans living in the cities like post apocalyptic future.

@@Azure9577 sure, i was describing more of a darksouls mixed with nier automata. the only similarities to armored core is its mechs and they can change parts. im talking more fluent robotics that weapons seem to be built less like military rockets or plasma what evers but more chainsaw blades, heavy steel swords, with humans added to show how big the scope of the battles your facing. plus i wanted it to be that the robots dont know their robots. to them they make up ther own culture and people not knowing of what they previous were like how humans evolved from neantherthals but have no memory of such nor knew they were once called that. to be honest i would say they would close resemble tranformers but without the transformer part.

I've always thought the LEGO comparison was a bad fit.
These kits are more like Glyos in that it's several molds released in different colours and the gimmick is to swap parts around.

I feel like you should throw in slight wire extensions around joints of left arm. Give it are real floppy noodle look by having it look ripped out of socket and lanky.
