I don't know if there is anything stopping Bandai from straight up collaborating on some kind of 30 Minute Zoids. Bandai and Takara Tomy have cross collaborated before (e.g. Chogokin Liger Zero). Eventhough Kotobukiya licenses Zoids for model kits, 30 MM would be in a smaller scale and different enough from Kotobukiya's offerings.
Which kits are those?

Front Mission 3 is still one of my favorite games of all time. Pure nostalgia. I really have to try the 30MM. The price point is great and kit bashing seems to be pure fun with them!
U know FM3 is getting a remake right? For now FM1 and FM2 already got a remake on nintendo
@@paanrpyes, I played FM1 on my Switch and loved it! I am more than happy that this franchise returned.
If you want to go for this line you gotta be a little quick on the draw, as plenty of collectors are squad or army builders and tend to order multiples of the sets. 😅
@@HarmonyEdge can confirm. I’m a total Spinatio fanatic so I’m probably the reason that they don’t stay in stock long at my local shops. Been building 30MM/Gunpla for only a year and a half and I already have 30+ Spinatio kits…with 3 of the PBandai black knight Spinatios on the way when those ship.

Bit of trivia, according to the manual the Baskyrotto isn't actually an EXAMAC.
It predates them.
So with this kit, we've actually gone back to before the Bairon war.
It's an Examac. The instruction manual has the description: "Records state that they were mass-produced EXAMACS with a notably wide variety of variation" on the first page upper right side.
Btw, do you have the problem of loose polycap on the thighs on that kit? Mine's loose on one of em.
@@First-Name_Last-Name Loose thighs happen with a lot of 30MM kits, my Spinatia and Forestieri thighs and waist joints were quite loose, but since they use ball style polycaps, it should be easy to thicken the joints up with superglue or acrylic nail polish, or whatever alternative you have
@@First-Name_Last-Name You could also try swapping the polycaps around and place the loose one on the waist or ankle.

@@reijigamer I didn't mention smp because it cost over $1000 for the whole set. Even the Banpre'Sto?? The alt universe of srx cost just as much. Let's wait for the main line hg sets yeah ?

It practically is a BASHO by a standard, a predecessor of the Alto line of mecha that isn't super used anymore but still gets some fielding
And the option kit comig this june has a flater head with a grill similar to a BASHO

I snagged one of these this week and I’m so excited to dig into it! Such a chonky boy!
I like the build from outside of the FM perspective, but I feel it's legs are a little too stubby for my taste. I plan to wait for the brown one and slap the lower legs of the Alto Ground Type Brown to give it a little extra height.

I played FM3 a while ago on my VITA. One of the best MECHA GAMES I’ve ever played. I WILL GET THIS KIT IN THE FUTURE!! I’ve been wanting to make a WANZER KIT for a long time!!

kinda seems like a sorta hybrid. the lower half is a wanzer. but that head is so CLEARLY something like a Leo from wing.

Perfect timing for this kit. My friends and I are homebrewing a tabletop skirmish game with Front Mission theme. It's interesting how it translates too easily for tabletop. I got 2 of these and pairing them with 2 tanks is gonna be a fun time. Also there's a desert tan one down the pipeline
Plus option parts set 16 will be mostly for this kit.

looks so good! i was trying to find some actual Front Mission plamo from square enix, but they seem expensive for what they are. i think im going to be getting this and a bunch of 30 mm optional parts instead
30MM will also be doing a crossover with Front Mission, so some folks consider the Baskyrotto and the Zowort from WFM as previews of what those future kits might be.

Hard to say that Square is sitting on their own IPs, considering that they have the Structure Arts kits that are really good for their size, price point, and relatively speaking, how new Square Enix is to actually designing models.
I suggest you take a look at them.
Front Mission 3 on PS1 what a game that was, its one of my fave game back then. Its nice that Bandai making mechs like this for customization to make all the FM 3 mecha line esp. the armored core ones.

Saw this kit last Saturday. Sadly didn't have the money for it but damn I love how the Baskyrotto looks. It's basically just a tank with legs. Gonna save up cash for it and then maybe an optional weapons set so that I can customize it further.
EDIT: Haven't caught up with 30MM lore, but I can tell this is basically gonna be Bandai's counterpart to BattleTech what with all the inspiration from other mecha settings and the like.

have you ever thought about looking at the Evoroid kits from Kotobukia? i have been building them for a little while now, and i am impressed. they're simple little transforming 'desk bots' that all use the same basic 'skeleton' of parts...
it could also pass as a UNAC or a Normal from AC
I got the ‘Dom’ type pbandai kit a year ago. It looks good, but one of the c clips for an arm stretched a hair. So it doesn’t fall off, but floppy as hell. Just means I need to be more careful fitting these kits together. 😅
The size reminds me of late UC MS, I think it can be turned into armored core MT.

i haven't delved at all into 30ms because i feel like i wouldn't be able to customize them enough to my liking (exosuit girls) but i'd love to try that kind of stuff out one day
The shield from the option parts heavy weapons is chonkier and is a cheaper set to get. The micro missles pods are a nice bonus.
@@katallica6677 they sell kits for female characters and atleast a dozen of addition armor, Equipment, Effects and weapons for both the mission and sisters lines
Even started a fantasy line too recently so trust me customizability is quite the point of 30MM

after watching the recent update though i feel more confident about buying from 30ms stuff, maybe 1 from fantasy too since i want to bash those two together

Are you familiar with the Structure Arts Front Mission and Xenogears kits? They kinda need painting because they're all two tone plastic, but they're great little kits. The FM ones come in volumes of 4 kits collected in ammo crate boxes.

This new 30mm kit looks super awesome as a big bulky armored core inspired mecha. BTW it's pronounced Vanzer. It's german and the W is more like a V. Also it's translated to Walking tank which makes alot of sense. And one last Front mission 4 is awesome

Front Mission 3 was incredible. Did you know there was an experimental energy rifle you could find if you did certain things? I miss that game...
Yes the rifle AND it's unit (Hoshun MKII) can be obtained via two methods:
1) Emma's Route: If the performance of the main protagonist's group has been consistantly high (platinum medals), then the Hoshun Mk 112 will be deployed instead of a Kasel M2 at Taradrake Observatory.
Alisa's Route: If the performance of the main protagonist's group has been consistantly high (platinum medals), then the Hoshun Mk 112 will be deployed instead of a Enyo Mk.109 at Koriyama City Highrise.
2) Finding and using a number secret code number in the 'Inferno Dial' through the network during the late-game. If the Hoshun does not appear in the above situations, then it can be obtained after the Taradake Observatory stage on Emma's route or the Koriyama City stage on Alisa's route by checking BBS 3 of the Armored Kinkakuji website, which shows a request for anyone who knows the truth behind the military coup d'etat in Japan to contact him through 555(XKR)224. Go to the Garbagepit section of the Lawspite website, use the Inferno Dialer tool and enter the said number (minus the brackets). Eventually a man named Itsuki will answer the call and, after some conversation, gave the Hoshun along with a Heavy Particle Gun to the player for free.
Front Mission 3 and Gundam Battle Assault 1&2 kinda cemented me into Japanese mecha.

I never really liked the style of 30MM but this big chunky blocky boy is right up my alley when it comes to mecha units.
Not a big fan of the color scheme so I might just grab a few and paint them up myself.
