Awesome. One of my favorite songs of all time. We used to play it at church camp around a great big bonfire. Twenty or so of us sitting there and playing and singing songs under the milky way. It seemed to me at the time that the circle was indeed magical. Of course the fact that I was shyly sweet on a gal sitting there sorta helped fuel my magic fantasy. If you all sit around a fire of an evening, and you have a mind to, it would sure be great to hear another old familiar song.
I still remember the version that Doc Holiday and Michael Martin did on a old tape I had. It's amazing on how many renditions you can find on some of the songs.
Thank,s we have banjo,s here in New Brunswick Canada ,the Mountain Dulcimer sound great ,both instruments are opened tuned and the fingering is just to change that tuning i figure ,but together they sound great . Bob and Annette Harris used to play together ,he play guitar and she play the table harp which has a similar sound ,she had arthritis really bad but the table harp ,she could play by pushing button,s and her voice was sublime ,these guy,s remind me of them and their passing.
She,s new to me ,she,s got loads of pep and seem,s to be fun like dynamite ,just like my wife . Sounds good ,what it that thing ,sound,s like a Viel ,you know that thing with a wheel on it ,dont know what they call em in English maybe Viola ? anyway great video and thanks for sharin : ) oh and your my new Dad now ok ,i need a Dad hope you,ll take the job.
