I honestly thought they were going to pull some sort of "oh now they're still alive" thing at the end there but when Cronk and Zephyr *stayed* dead...I was pretty shocked. And sad.

At 4:54 /sigh i never understood why ratchet in his games always comes at people with his wrench in cuteness,When he has like 30 weapons in he's back pocket at all times.
Really? It's because it's needed for plot progression. He could have pulled out a weapon anytime in multiple games, and ended the story there. But if he had we wouldn't have a series like this now would we?

Because if Ratchet never got involved at the beginning Drek would have ruined a good portion of the Solana Galaxy, Dr. Nefarious would have turned every organic being in existence into robots, and Qwark would have basically screwed the Bogon Galaxy with his dumbass plan. Therein lies the problem, if Ratchet had not done things exactly as the story demanded, it would have turned out drastically different.

The only reason i see is that ratchet is a :Ask questions shoot later type of guy. plus on all the cover art he's holding a blaster or a rocket launcher in all of his games. No it's not like sly cane either, because he has had 5 different wrenches in the series, we never even was told how he his got current one.
7:50 Strange, here Ratchet says "We lost them." But it the German version he says "They're dead." It completely changes the tone of that scene.

Ratchet looks younger because they tried to make his looks appeal to younger audiences which only resulted in a lot of hate from hardcore fans.

I think Talwyn is my favourite female character in the series.
I like her more and more as time goes on but i am noticing she is not getting used slowly. She may eventually be scrapped and useless.

I'm pretty sure one of the Devs from Insomniac definitively stated that Talwyn and Ratchet are a thing, so I'd have high hopes of her appearing in the next (chronological) game in the series. Further supported by what you said as well, she's stayed relevant and appeared more frequently than either Angela Cross from Going Commando or Sasha Phyronix from Up Your Arsenal

This was quite a fun game!All of the Ratchet and Clank games are very stylized and are such eye candy!
Even though this game was short and I know some people had some issues with it, which is fine but I think out all the boss fights, the last one was the most difficult and annoying. I know it's the last boss but there was something about it that really annoyed me. Either way this game was still pretty fun.
You know even though this game was short as balls, I still did enjoy the ride even though I wished it was a little longer. But for the price they were offering at the time, it wasn't a rip off and I liked the simple story. I hope that Vendra and Nef make a reappearance in a future game as friends/allies. :)

Just so everyone knows, the next R&C game is a part of Into the Future series right after Into the Nexus so we still got a chance to see Ratchet's race!
I hope this franchise doesn't end here... Because if it does i'm gonna burn down insomniac's studios!!!! This franchise deserves an honorable death! I am NOT satisfied with this ending!! Insomniac you better get back on the track and release a game that will put an end to the franchise so it can die with honor(on the ps4 of course)!!! This game made my childhood... I don't want it to end like this!

That whole scene after Cronk and Zephyer died, it would've be so much more dramatic if the kept the amazing design of the characters from Crack in Time, and Tools of Destruction.

i underestimated this games difficulty wen i immediately jumped into the hardest difficulty available i did quite a bit on the bosses but vendras brother and the nether boss wer AAAAAAAAAWESOME ratchet and clank show their still got it
I jumped in at the hardest difficulty too simply because I wanted a challenge. It did make me concentrate more than other games did, that's for sure.
I did the Same with ratchet Deadlock. Beat Normal then went to Hard to very Hard.
Im 14 and still play's this xD my first was gladiator :-P still play it now and then.. xD

Gee, I miss the days of just short sweet and comedic coordinates, weapons that made you want to use all of them, quirky stories that had little to no cutscenes, and practically just gameplay. *Disclaimer* I don't hate the new games in fact I recently beat tools of destruction enjoying it somewat, all i'm saying is that it lost it's touch since the PS2 that made you play it over and over loving every second of it.
Perhaps you have simply grown up. I think Ratchet & Clank may have become a bit too childish for you.
I personally feel like they're going in the right direction with the series, concentrating more on the storyline (at least with the Future saga and Into The Nexus), but I also feel like it's time to end the series. It's not as popular as it used to be and there simply isn't enough innovation because of that. All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault were their ways of trying to innovate, but those turned out to be pretty bad compared to the other games. I'd totally understand if Insomniac Games came out with a statement saying that they will leave Ratchet & Clank alone, or at least for a while.
1. Ratchet & Clank is still funny, but focuses more on a better story.
2. Name ONE weapon that isn't awesome.
3. After playing the PS2 games, I can safely say that the PS3 games are bigger, harder, and just better. More weapons, Amazing graphics, R1 to shoot, bigger levels, bigger RYNOs, RPG elements, and plenty more.
If Tools of Destruction was on PS2, I can guarantee that people would say it's the best R&C. Don't let nostalgia cloud your mind.
DHW Like a lot of the first commercials for the Ratchet and Clank games, to me it was never truly about the story or advanced plot but more about the gameplay which I feel has gotten more tedious with these new games. Like compared to the PS2 games when I played Tools of destruction I only used the plasma beast once and didn't want to use it anymore whereas in past game every weapon was unique and saying that there are more weapons is a complete lie. There weren't nearly as many weapons in ToD than in, say, going commando.
DHW To add on to my last one, I wouldn't have called it more difficult or challenging but tedious. I admit that some of the levels from the PS2 games were a bit tedious like the snow or sand crystals but you actually wanted to do it because the extra bolts allowed you to buy the new weapons or armor which would come in handy later. Whereas the leviathan souls costed ammo to get or bolts which you also got from them so it's a greatly reduced amount your getting in total compared to, say, the desert crystals. I also found the new game to be a lot more linear than they have been in the past and shorter for my first time. in the past I would spend a few days getting everything in the PS2 games, now there doesn't feel like there is as much to find and Gold Bolts are easy to get. I was very open to the new games when I went into tools of destruction recently but came out disappointed, although I will admit that the raritanium was interesting to say at the least. (Also you don't get a ship till 3 or so planets into the game) Back to the whole difficulty level, the only difficult thing I found was the bosses, all 3 of them. Mostly just because they deal a lot of damage and absorb a lot as well, yet as long as your moving and jumping at the right times your golden. Also, how can a game be hard if you have a free disco ball thing for any hard part of the game. The thing that amuses me the most is how on the PS2 online multiplayer became a thing in every game and was focused on and now it's more about the story and characters. Although listen, i'm not trying to bash on anyone who likes the new games as R&C is one of my favorite series and it can still be good at times i'm just saying that it feels like its strayed away from its roots. If you actually read all this crap I applaud you cause I just wasted a few minutes of your life.

This Ratchet feels different somehow. Liked him better in the previous games
+ChillyGotBenched Because Ratchet has been through allot in his adventures traveling through the galaxy. In the 1st game, Ratchet always wanted to travel through Solana Galaxy, but Ratchet didn't expect to meet Clank or the fact that he will turn out to be a hero. In the 2nd game he was randomlly teleported to Bogan Galaxy by Mr. Swizwitched (I have no idea how to pronouce his name) and after 2 years Ratchet became more skilled, then before and tried to stop a Protopet project, in order to save the galaxy. In the 3thd game Ratchet went through a war against Dr. Nefarious, in Ratchet Deadlocked he was forced to compete in the Gladiator games by Gleman Fox. And in the Future series, Ratchet wanted to learn more about the Lombaxes, who his real parents were and why he was sent to Veldin and Ratchet after Tools of Destruction was searching for Clank all over the place and in Crack in Time he lost a good companion, who was a Lombax and a good friend to Ratchet and Ratchet's father named Alister Aizmuth.

I meant Ratchet the character. Not the game. The way he talks, act and reacts are different. His character felt different completely. Not talking about the game itself. The explanation he gave was definitely a lot more helpful.

I honestly found him too unlikeable in the first game, but to each their own.
I know a lot of people, especially a certain Brit, have pointed out the series' deviation from commentary on corrupt corporations and society's materialism, but I think Into the Nexus still has that light hearted tongue and cheek humor of the PS2 classics in tandem with the dark Netherverse elements it brings. It may not be a social commentary anymore, but you still get hints of light hearted satire in Destructapalooza.
How many of you think of these two the progs are from the dimension where Jak and Daxter live
