I feel like they've put much more effort and emotion into this game. The jokes are less cheesy, the emotions are deep and heart felt. It became a better game then the rest. The story is richer and overall more mature. I love it.
Also the facial expression is on point

I would agree that Crack in Time is the best like everyone else. Yet Into the Nexus has emotional depth and heartful humor like you said, thus very similar to Crack in Time. I hope Rift Apart will be a good one.

Neftin was planning, calm and changeable
She tried to reverse the roles but never could.
The best part is how he keeps his promise without a second thought.

I like how ratchet is one of the very few game characters thats actuly gets tired when fighting for a long time i like that little touch in theese games...and everything else ofc xD
I agree he tired of being a hero and whats to retired after he lost Alistair in the great clock and he died a hero I think he probably going to work with Talwyn its according to the comics
It's a great point of realism. Ratchet's just a kid and he's still the only Lombax in the universe. It must be annoying to have everyone constantly needing to be saved because they can't fix their own problems, or made into a target because he's the last Lombax (citation needed) in Polaris.

The ending cutscene to this game is beautiful, its not bombastic or grandiose and it doesn't need to be, it shows how far Ratchet and Clank had came in their journey, its not just about being heroes, its about the choices they made throughout their lives that had led them to this point, Ratchet's being tired and pessimistic works well because he is at a point in his life where being a hero isn't what he wants so much anymore, its a chance to be able to relax and enjoy his life, the conversation between him and Clank, his laughter representing his depressed state is just... perfect. Clank despite having made it apparent the use of an interdimensional device is dangerous, does care about his best friend, and asks him a hypothetical question, if Ratchet were to have the dimensionator functional again, would he use it, Ratchet had made up his mind. He knows his people are fine and perhaps trying to bring them back might cause more harm than good, he has his own life... Then Rift Apart came and ruined this ending.
Talwyn's voice sounds a little different I mean I don't hear the Tara strong voice acting I know.
And in the last game they wasted time with the recolored version of Ratchet, a character that contributed nothing to the main story. We lost a cool character like Alister, but Purple Ratchet stays.
Meanwhile Talwyn is reduced to Easter Eggs, because the lazy devs didn't want to bother with human hair physics. One of the devs even says that the new character (Rivet) shares many animations with Ratchet. Make you think they share the same skeleton.
About Ratchet behavior he is less confident & determined of what he used to be. Now he does feminine expressions with his hands & has social anxiety 😑.

But yeah Rivet's existence is the most meaningless thing the franchise has ever seen, the only reason she exists was because (wamen powah) and her creators were furry interns who only had disgusting things on their minds while making her.
@@trevargrisham35Rivet Apart did so much damage to the series narratively. All while claiming that what it was doing was great things. The game single handed made me lose faith in the franchise as a whole.
@@RandomPerson-ox8zi if you think Rift Apart was bad, just wait until the next game, rumors are the next game wont be until 2029 which likely means itll be a PS6 title given the lifespan of consoles unless the PS5 remains as the current one. it'll be the same nonsense as Rift Apart all over again, a flashy hollow tech demo, and with all the current nonsense of politics amplified. so yeah I don't have much faith in the next game. it was obvious even before Rift Apart released, Insomniac no longer views Ratchet and Clank as a franchise they cherish, to them its an obligation, and thats the worst fate a franchise can have, when its handled by people who only see it as a necessity and not as something they love and want to make it more. Ratchet and Clank has been reduced to being a wannabee pixar style series and at this point I'm sick of it, it was fine with the future saga, but that era is long behind us.

The actual game was quite short in facts of gameplay, but the graphical style is a movie now. And it looks almost the same ingame. That's why I have not given up on this series.

I adore this series and own all of the games. I love that final cutscene with Ratchet and Clank chatting, it certainly hints at a follow up to this game. I know the movie and next game are re imaginings of the first game in the series, but I do hope the game after that follows on from ITN. I never want the series to end, but I would love Ratchet to finally find the Lombaxes, provided it doesn't endanger the universe of corse!

This game's only flaw is how short it is, if it was longer it may very well have been even better than A Crack in Time
It would be even better if, along with a longer game, if we could explore the Nexus as Ratchet.

i think they were experimenting for the next trilogy in the rachet and clank series hopefully they go back to the ps2 story writing.

While I liked the PS2 games, the stories for the PS3 games (Tools of Destruction, A Crack In Time, and Into the Nexus) make for a stronger and better narrative than the PS2 ones.

My god watching this after just playing through the 2016 R&C game makes the graphics on this look ancient comparison. Amazing how far technology can come within a few years.

Jem Benns Graphics got nothing on story. Their are lots of games where, the graphics are phenomenal!!!!!! But without a proper/good story it's next to useless. The COD series are a good example.

The last Ratchet that I felt like was the same character I followed since 2003. After this, his character progression was reset as if he isn't a more rock-solid, seasoned, mature, but still familar guy who has just been at this game for however many years. I get that they're going for the more neurotic, always yelling and sweating, bit more easily scared (typically for a gag) and docile, almost childlike attitude from the reboot, but it sucks to see that same vibe persist even in a game that's supposed to be set after the Ratchet we see in games like GC, Deadlocked, ACIT and this.
I agree with you, but we have to keep in mind Ratchet had been in retirement for years at the start of Rift Apart. He's grown older and his personality softened over the years.
@@JH24821 thats not an excuse, being in retirement does not change a person's mentality, its the change in writers that has made him unrecognizable.

Ratchet never gave up on looking for the other lombaxes, he just didn’t want to make it a lifelong obsession like Azimuth did with trying to change the past.

I'm kinda glad that they're taking Characters more seriously in the series.
They had a lotta great characters that could have been a big part of Ratchet and clank.
Respond to one of the comments Qwark made, I don't think we've ever scene Ratchet cry in the series, even in the comics. We've seen he get upset and frustrated, but that's about it. I honestly think it might add a bit of depth to his character if we see him cry to something like learning a bit more about what happened to Kaden (his father).

It hurt seeing them killed and it actually hurt when alister refused to listen to both ratchet and clank when they told him to stop what he was doing. If he would of listened he would of still had ratchet but his rather unhealthy behavior on his obsession to bring Kaden back made him blind to what he had

dont get me wrong im glad we have another ratchet and clank game coming out and the reimagining of the original is cool and all BUT i would have preferred it if they had finished off the series to begin with, they easily could have come to a true, proper ending in one MAYBE two more games.

Ventra and nerfer remind me of me and my brother. No matter how many times I pushed him away when I was upset about something I wanted he’d always come back for me. I felt a warm glow in my heart seeing him risk everything for his sister

@@hurricane7727 The whole point of the ending was Clank asking Ratchet a hypothetical question because he wanted to know what his friend really wanted, Ratchet told him that he was happy more or less where he was. Rift Apart made that moment meaningless.

Good game but way too short. Hopefully the PS4 're-imaging' they're working on will live up to the originals or at least be as good as Tools of Destruction and A Crack in Time, which while not as good as the PS2 trilogy are still great games. Guess we'll learn more about it soon, hopefully.

the thing about the ps3 ratchet and clank is that they were all too serious, on p2s i still remeber the funny, lighthearted cutscenes that made me laugh and love the game(s), the new ratchet movie should incorporate more less serious stuff, and make it funny again.
