It's amazing how much Ratchet and Clank have grown up. Especially in their friendship! This story is proof that, these two have a bond that's much stronger than Jak and Daxter.
Asher Beale-Mason Jak met Daxter when he was at least 5 or 6, since he travelled back in time at a very young age! Well he probably met Daxter when he was 8 or 9 mainly because Daxter is younger than Jak, but their teamwork isn't even close to outclassing Ratchet and Clanks!
Clank has been with Ratchet all of his life, they would gladly put their lives in each other’s hands. Jak comparatively does all the work whilst Dexter hogs the glory and does nothing but sit on his shoulder

But can't you see he's the one that stopped the Orvus Chamber from imploding? He saved Ratchet, Clank, and quite possibly the entire universe. In the end, he understood his mistake and atoned for it. An honorable death if you ask me.

The best way to calculate Ratchet's age is with Jak X. It states he's 18 (He has his Deadlocked armor, so he was 18 in that game.)
