RATCHET & CLANK: RIFT APART All Cutscenes (Game Movie) PS5 4K 60FPS Ultra HD
In light of their previous heroics, Ratchet (James Arnold Taylor) and Clank (David Kaye) are celebrated as galactic heroes. During a parade in their honor, Clank reveals that he has repaired the Dimensionator, a device capable of opening rifts to other dimensions, so that Ratchet can search for the Lombax race and his missing family. However, Doctor Nefarious (Armin Shimerman) suddenly attacks the parade and attempts to steal the Dimensionator, but it is destroyed in the struggle which causes dimensional rifts to begin opening randomly. Ratchet, Clank, and Dr. Nefarious end up being separated and transported to an alternate universe ruled by Emperor Nefarious, who has never been defeated in this dimension. Clank is damaged and picked up by a female Lombax named Rivet (Jennifer Hale), while Dr. Nefarious ends up in Emperor Nefarious' (Robin Atkin Downes) throne room. Ratchet finds himself alone and starts his search for Clank. With Emperor Nefarious currently absent on a conquest, Dr. Nefarious secretly assumes his identity and sends his new minions after Ratchet and Rivet.
This game was intensely fun. A beautiful mix of modern sensibilities with an old school heart. Definitely one of my favorite games of the year and a must play if you own a PS5. As always, we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to stitch together a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

Jeez, Ratchet's VA has done a lot of work, no wonder I recognized his voice. It's the embodiment of my entire childhood.

As a long time R&C fan, it makes me happy to see insomniac continue to make every game just as great as the last.
I’m happy to see that it’s basically a guarantee another game, we finally get to see the other lombax’s
I’m just glad they decided to ignore where the reboot was going and continue the story of the original series.

Well if you're a long time fan you should know deadlocked was not better than up your arsenal 😂😂 but yeah tbh I have been very pleased with their general storylines and they always have the best random comedy. Probs 2nd fave playstation exclusive and 2nd fave video game series overall

If they make a sequel to this story i kinda want Rivet to have at least one breakdown over the fact that she's been fighting her entire freaking life and have Ratchet comforting her. Then in return Ratchet is freaking out about going to meet the other lombaxes and Rivet comforts him.

Honestly, after such a successful debut, Rivet and Kit need their own spin off series. Rivet and Kit, such a nice ring to that.
3:06:23 Qwark being my favorite R&C character made this one of my favorite moments in the game. The fact that Ratchet has gone from not having anything good to say about Qwark at his ‘funeral’ in UYA, to this sweet little speech…is just…so great. Not only does it show how much Qwark has grown, but also how much Ratchet has grown. He can now look past Qwark’s flaws and appreciate what he has to offer. And the subtle facial expressions Ratchet makes…😂it’s like he’s surprised at the words coming out of his mouth. For the first time really, he’s realizing he does, in fact, appreciate Qwark as a person and friend.😊 Well done, Insomniac!👌🏻
Insomniac don't even remember 2 & 3 exist, they're deluded to what the best Ratchet games are and why they were that.
it really is a big development, all throughout the classic and future trilogy, Qwark was basically just scamming everyone
Capatain Qwark was ratchet's Hero and Role model and he still is to this day.
Crazy tho considering how many times qwark tried to kill him and worked with the villans its all excuses and selfishness its cool he grew as the protagonist and all but qwark a shady bastard no matter what little nice things he do😂 he hid while the whole galaxy was being turned into robots and he worked with a man destroying planets who also poluted his own world! Drek in the og series was way sicker than the reboot dude was the worse villan in arguably platformer game history tbh and qwark worked for him and tried to clap ratchet and clank and he went to a new galaxy and tried take it over to pretend to save in in rac 2

I would compare them to Megamind and Tighten espeically when Dr. Nefarious reason for disliking his Emperor self is cause he lack presentation when doing his schemes.

I like how Rivet and Kit's main colours are Ratchet and Clank's but reversed.
The sheer amount of emotion they put in all the characters faces is incredible.
I like how they talk about dr. Nefarious as if he’s some kid in a candy store about to ruin a display.

I’m no a Ratchet and Clank fan, but when I first learned about Rift Apart, I was so interested to see it. Then enter release day, this game shattered expectations and in my opinion became the Game of the Year easy because it’s so amazing. The story, the performances (introduction of Rivet and Kit), the visuals, the music … everything, the best I’ve seen in a next gen game.
Honest opinion:
This game looks good. REALLY good. My only gripe? I wish there would have been a bit more back and forth between Rachet and Glitch. Seems a lot like Glitch is just kinda... Thrown to the wayside, even if she has her own little mini-story of sorts.
FR, Glitch seems to be a fifth wheel of sorts. Outshadowed by Kit and Rivet.
If they continue the story, I really hope Glitch gets a bigger impact on the story. The fact that she is an AI means she completes basically a trio of perspectives -- Organic, Robot, and AI. Who knows, maybe a foray into the Digital universe would be cool? or maybe Glitch can act as a mission control/ship personality of sorts.

It’s like being in a Pixar movie. This gen is blowing my mind.
And yet the the actual movie they made never achieved the same success like the way the games did
Is no one going to say anything in this scene (2:48:25). This scene is so relaxing and is a Brother moment, because we can see how Rachet and Clank talk about the universe is in danger, a new evil has risen and they are the only hope once again. And the music fits perfect, and when clank says: "We will find a way, like always", it gives good vibes, it has a saying like "We are back once again at the good old times"

Don't know why, but that battle at the end, from the start alone, felt like the days of Ratchet 3, where you fought big armies with allies. Personally, I got way too into those battles. Enjoyed them so much.
What I like about the ending battle is the fast you are teaming up with Thugs-4-Less and the pirates two of Ratchet and Clanks longest enemy factions to fight against Nefarious' army

To be honest, I haven't really enjoyed all the Ratchet and Clank that have been released since the PS3 came out. But I can really say for this one that it's the first time I feel like all the pieces are coming together perfectly (even if there are still many plotholes left). The characters are cool and lovable, the story is well written, the graphics are great and all the old references are there. Truly a masterpiece.

The dialogue in this game is amazing
This game reminds me of how far Gaming has come. R&C 3 was the first game I ever finished as a child, and it is incredible to compare those two games and think that they are still the same storyline.
There is definitely a deeper story with the lombaxes they made the archives, the shrines and several other things and yet when tachyon arrived they either got slaughtered or went into pocket dimensions. It seems even Empourer Nefarious has no clue about the others besides rivet. It's interesting to think about and leaves a bunch of 'what ifs'

You know, when I heard that Nefarious was going to be coming back, I honestly hoped for some "LAWRENCE!" and soap opera freeze-ups. Those were funny.
But, I suppose that Lawrence gets away with having a kid. I'm a bit sad that before he left he got rid of that glitch. :(
This is basically a playable Pixar movie in terms of the animation and visual quality. Amazing what can be achieved these days in game engines.
I've been waiting to see this one, you guys are the best at making "game movies" on RUclips and I couldn't miss this one.

Mad Across the 2nd Dimension vibes with Emperor and Dr. Nefarious. Especially with how oddly articulate and functional Emperor Nefarious is, not to mention taller.

Hearing Zurkon Jr.‘s voice made me realize how long it’s been since I played Skylanders.
Just finished the game yesterday, easily my favourite game in the series since the PS2 days (I have very little experience with the games on PS3 so I can’t really speak for those games) such a great return to form after the 2016 game

It's so nice to see old stuff come back that i've last seen in up your arsenal, or in the 2002 game. The people at Insomniac did an awesome job yet again! Now if only we had releases like these for PC as well, and not just PS5...
R&C remastered/collected for PC would be a damn dream come true lol... Especially with unlocked framerate etc.

This is giving me Your Name (Kimi no Na Wa) vibes. I love how the dimensions are connected and each character in Rivets dimension were such great counterparts to Ratchets dimension. This is in my top 5 along with Ratchet and Clank 1, 2, 3, and deadlocked

Man, this game makes me feel so nostalgic of when I played one of these games. It was Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, one of my favorite games on the PS2 ever. I played it so much I knew every secret and upgrade there was to get, countless days of different play throughs, but for some reason no one else in my family ever wanted to play it.
Rivet & Kit should have their own spin-off game soon.

Something tells me the abuse of the Dimensionator may have led to the reboot, to those who know about Space and Time, they're like Siamese twins, what affects one will affect the other, not only that but given what happened with Tachyon misusing the original Dimensionator, the misuse of the great clock by Azimuth, and again the original Dimensionator misused by the Prog twins, and finally the new dimensionator getting abused by both Doctor and Emperor Nefarious, so I wouldn't be surprised if Clank didn't just use the new dimensionator to repair the dimensions but also started a reboot for the multiverse ergo Ratchet & Clank (2016)
