@@josephlalock8378 get a life, Rita Haney controls Dime's estate, Vinnie's family controls his, and both are perfectly happy with this version of Pantera as the hundreds of thousands who have watched them in the last couple of years. It's only miserable internet dwellers like you that can't get on board.
The first time that I saw Phil Anselmo perform it was around 1983 or ‘84 in Metairie Louisiana … He was 15 or 16 years old singing for the band Razor White - EDIT::: I was thinking 🤔 that young man is going somewhere
I have worked in live entertainment since 1976. You have to keep learning because technology changes very fast. If you do not educate your self on the changes and adapt you will soon find your self out of work and to far behind to catch up.
Great channel & i’m really enjoying it. With your topic being “PanterA” i’ll never forget the “PanterA” & “Type O Negative” tour in the mid 90’s which was absolutely awesome!! Both bands have stated that it was one of their favourite tours & others have said that it was their favourite tour hands down. I was fortunate enough to see that tour in Detroit at the “State Fair Grounds”🤘
I love this. Absolutely awesome behind the scenes in depth look of what goes into a big production show and the unsung hero’s that make it happen. Nick does an awesome job of asking a question and then letting the techs talk and doesn’t interrupt them and then ask the tech to explain certain jargon that people might not know and they can go into detail. Now, we can’t forget the entertainer coach drivers that get the artists safely from venue to venue in the middle of the night. Please do a in depth behind the scenes piece on the coach drivers please. Keep up the great work.
I had the honor to meet Abel Vallejo in my country and that guy is awesome!!!! As I am a drumtech too, it was amazing to see a top world class drumtech working.
As someone who’s only a year into engineering at clubs this video was awesome to see. Very helpful to see some ins and outs of touring. Thank you for the awesome video!
Eddie Map would have to be one of the happiest sound guys I have ever seen he had a smile ear to ear with every question and Topic. What a legend One of the best videos yet Hats off to everyone in this video from security to riggers to all the techs !
I laughed way harder than I should with Eddie's line for using the 58 as a back up drumstick 😅😂! Love your videos Nick! Keep up the great work, we love watching it!
@@crankfastle8138 I hear you on that, at least he wasn't playing a "Chibson." I wanted to see his rack with the MXR flanger/double, and that stuff. There's a video of someone showing it briefly, but I was hoping they would cover it in depth here, like they did with Rex's rig.
Damn Bobby I don’t know…only knew you in Austin as a musician …I picked up Ian moore in 96 as my second time touring as TM/FOH..surprised ourpaths didn’t cross over the next 25 years…
Don‘t get me wrong, I admire all this attention to detail and I also understand the legend, that Pantera is in the world of metal. But os this really the kind of music, that makes immersive audio shine ? Or is anybody noticing „the icing on the cake“ that comes from a little bit of drum samples from the past, given the acoustic limitations of any arena ? I‘m in this business for over 30 years and this sometimes feels like boys in the toy store, that are given the budget to play with whatever they want.
I’ve been touring and recording for over 35 years and I’m taking classes on the side at Berklee just to keep up with the changes. I’ve been using CAD consoles most of the time so learning all the new gear is nuts because it changes almost every 4 months lol 😂. I love the video and thank you for sharing this world.
my 1st live show was 1994 Pantera/Sepultura Vulgar Chaos tour, amd tours 95, 96 Pantera/White Zombie { backstage [asses for Pantera guys signed all kinds of swag, and tour 97, 98, 2001 final tour!!!. throughout the 90's -2001 they hands down the best live band with brutally intense shows. bodies flyin you knew good herbs, couple drinks & big titties were in attendance Pantera was a 1nce in a lifetime band, All shows seen Portland, OR Stronger than all..
There is only one version of Pantera. Abbott's are Pantera. its great that they introduce new generations to Vinnie and Dime's Legacy, but only the original has the metal magic. Ride those coat tails of genius but look after their families with the rewards you reap!. Vinne predicted all of this. you can see him say so in an interview on youtube.
great video Nick... been a subscriber for awhile now, enjoy every video you have made. I really like this stuff. Being a musician myself and playing in a cover band I dream of being involved in this type of work. Every chance I have, I always volunteer (stage hand) when big acts come to my town and I always learn from the techs and engineers that are doing this work for living... It's a tough living I am sure but I fun one... :)
Abel is a real cool drum tech. You don’t realize it but proctor world in entertainment can be very clickish techs, so getting thru those types isn’t fun or easy! Been there in the sports tv productions!
Almost every tech on this tour that has 10 20 30 be 40 years of experience said they are still learning. that’s what makes them awesome.
funny that they still have not learned that this is not pantera.

All the rigging points in the beginning, ahhh I love being a stagehand. Awesome video

I like the tech interviews. They are a big part of the bands. If you got good techs you got some kick ass shows.
As a bassist myself I've been using Ampeg SVTS forever best ever for bass. Saw Pantera early on just phenomenal.
Awesome Nick thank you, love to nerd out on backstage rundowns🙂👍
Man what a cool show and amazing people. Bobby Rock has some awesome footage as well on his channel. So cool to see him interviewed here!
How could it be bad there’s not an impossible way. I’d love to see them live.

One of the best videos yet
Hats off to everyone in this video from security to riggers to all the techs !
Without Eddie “Muscles” Mapp, this show couldn’t have happened!! He’s a Fckn Hero…
so much work involved that most people haven't a clue. much respect!!
Fantastic video

Would have been nice to see Grady and to show Zakk's gear!
Zakks gear is bullshit. Fake Gibson's with his name on it

Abel!! Love that guy. He is cool as a cucumber!
really interesting about their thunder bouncing console stuff... you try to picture your home stereo with LRC and panning your signal...
Awesome video as always
Didn't understand a lot of the lingo, but still cool. Something I've always wanted to do.
Absolutely 💯
Tuning a snare drum (top head) from scratch in a matter of minutes! 26:31
Get it Eddie Mapp!!🎉
TOOl uses a similar spatial mixing as well.

Forget the video! I wanna know what band the music in the beginning is! Anyone know? Sick!!

Appreciation for Abel that he killed Korn's first recorded when he filled in for Ray.

How do you get into booking agency and band management ?
I didn,t get what is "bass board" and for what it,s used?
We the people demand dimebombs we the people demand OLA
How to join?
what's the intro song?
What's being blurred out on the second dude? 😂

they use the R word quite freely in beginning of this video 😂
Guitar center 🤣 🤣
That is not Pantera lol. I'm sure you do great work. But nothing you do will help the push and pull drums, Not even close comic book guitar parts.
Vinnie and Dime rolling in their graves over this bullshit being called Pantera.
Too bad this is NOT PANTERA!!!
whythis stupid music?
On the road with phil and rexs cover band. This isnt pantera.
Who owns the rights to Pantera? Oh ya that's Phil and Rex . So Pantera is who ever they decided Pantera is. 😮
Pantera have been crappy for a long time now like metalica
