Nice to year that I have at least made somebody else happy. :) I've also been pondering about repowering this also with either a Volvo Penta V6, V8 or D3, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Itselläkin oli tarkoitus lähteä vaihtamaan kaasari aq125a (b21) autosta otettuun B230F. Miten oot laittanut lambdan? Mietin auton oma sytytysyksikön käyttämistä vai pitäisikö suosiolla siirtyä megaruuttaan?
Lambda on normaalisti downpipessä turbolta 5cm alaspäin. DP on vesijäähdytteinen. Vaparimallissa lambda oli porattu pakosarjaan vesivaipan läpi 1" messinki jengahylsyllä. Mutta lambda ei oo pakollinen ja on olleet noi innovate LC1 LSU4.2 lambdat todella lyhyt ikäisiä sekä autossa (Volvo 340 samalla tekniikalla) että veneessä Itte en ehkä enää laittais auton ruiskua vaan MaxxecuMini tai Microsquirt, tms aftermarket ruisku mutta auton ruiskun imusarjalla ja anturoinnilla. Auton ruisku tietenkin helpoin saada toimimaan sellaisenaan, mutta uusinkin 25v vanha niin tulee sähkö ongelmia helposti. Itse tehnyt johtosarjat uusiksi ja vesitiiviillä liittimillä ja sulakerasioilla että ei tule kosteus ongelmia.
Hello. do you know the difference between aq145 and aq125? who looks exactly the same? I'm going to buy one but can't figure out which one it is? thanks for the return messages
AQ145A (AQ145B is a B230) is a B23 2,3L 8v block with DOUBLE Solex 44PAI downdraught carburetors. On B230 block it says B230 under the oil filter. B21 block says B21 on the block under the intake manifold AND B21 block has NO CORE PLUGS ON INTAKE SIDE. B23 block HAS core plugs on intake side! AQ125 is a B21 block with SINGLE Solex 44PAI downdraught carburetor. Many old engines have mixed parts from all of these engines. They all mix... but they don't work that well when you mix wrong carburetors etc.
hi, very nice realization. i'm trying to do the same but i dont know how to cool the exhaust if i connect the car manifold. i cant connect the turbo to the boar cooled manifold. can you tell me how you did it. thanks
I have a custom build stainless steel water jacketed manifold with seawater running through. Big T3 turbo (only oil cooled, no water) and a seawater cooled 3->3/½" downpipe.
