The released Studio Coast concert video has only about half the songs that were performed. Unfair Game" is one of the ones that weren't released. Akasaka is the same. Zepp was the first where the entire concert was put out on video. It's Unfair.
That's so unfair! It brings tears in my eyes I don't know if it's because I'm sad or because you made me cracking up.
Mincho releases her new book today "How to play guitar for beginners who aren't good cos they're not me". In the glossary it's even got her "Little swingy arms dance" move sheet :)
That HAS to be written with a ghostwriter, because Kanami would NEVER talk down to anyone who was interested in learning. Either that, or the publisher is trying to stir up some controversy.
@@greylocke100 I think the same company is releasing the Ps5 game "Mincho Mincho Little swingy arms dance domination" game so people who can't play guitar can skip to the back for the dance move sheet. Companies are unscrupulous :)

Little know factoid: If you read the book backwards and upside down, it explains how to flip the pages to animate Kanami's Little Swingy Arm Dance. There's also many hidden Easter Eggs. But you have to hold the book carefully or you'll end up with a colorful omelet on your carpet. 🙄
Thanks, Jake! Another nice breakdown. UG is peak Band-Maid for me (although there might be 30 or 40 more songs that fit that description). Anyway, love the analysis and the ever-entertaining intros.

Probably top 10 song for me. Such a heavy and almost dark feel to it. Considering it came out in 2016, I always think it was ahead of it's time. Like "Screaming", too, which seems to fit in the UW era.
Simply put, I love this song.

Great intro and reaction, Jake. Unfair Game is among my favorite BM songs with a killer solo by Mincho, especially that Awkward chord progression at the end.

Glad to hear that "Take Me Higher" may be coming soon. Two more recent ones that I'd love to see you react to are "From Now On" especially if you can get the MV of it and the very recent song they did on the Genshin Concert 2022 which runs from 4:12 to 7:09 (approx) on the YT available concert. Song is called "Dawn Winery Theme" and is a variation on "Greensleeves."
The Beatles said they didn’t want to come to America until they had a number one hit. It’s going to be hard for Band-Maid to get a number one on the USA Billboard because their hard rock genre isn’t as wide and accessible as pop & rap. Previously, I think their management wanted them to mature a bit more and feel more comfortable with their interviews. Also it might take an English-lyric song for them to get widespread airplay. That’s why I think they’ve explored writing a few poppy tunes containing more English lyrics.
But now I think they just might pull it off after getting some TV exposure and bigger sold out venues that can get covered and make the news. The Maids are ready for international success. And their songs, uniqueness, sound, and playing ability will, I’m sure, get them there. Go USA 2022 Tour in only six day! :-))
Miku’s lyrics for this song are a bit cryptic. A couple of my favorite lines:
“In this world, everything’s up to me.”
“Life is an unfair game.
We delude. We deceive. Get violent.”
I have been pushing for Awkward (of course) along with "From now on" and Take me higher is great as well, but let's not forget about No God. :)

Love, Passion, Matador is also nice. It's one of their earliest song. It's a popish rock song but it's good.
Oh yes, I'll gladly cast a vote for that too. 'Ai to Jonetsu no Matador' is indeed their first ever release as a single, and even from the time when their outfits were red and white. :)
I think it's hard not to hear that Kanami is paying tribute to one of her greatest influences. The song has a really upbeat and almost 'summery' vibe. AAAAAND .... there is also an acoustic version from 2014, when they performed this song at the Engadget Winter Festival. (@Jake: you know where you can find it 😉)

I don't know of any good live recordings of Unfair Game,. It was cut from the Akasaka Blitz DVD from 2017.
Cut out from two released concerts, now that's a really unfair game.
I feel so dirty. The unfair has changed time Misa's birthday is the 15th of this month everybody missed Kanami's last week. Maybe it will correct itself in time for Miku's on the 21st or I might have to change my flight plans for the concert in Dallas. Take Me Higher I hope not. I like Alone . I am still dirty.
