I have been crying over a heartbreak more than a year now like every day but these podcasts are helping me so much to heal and distract myself from crying so excessively. I have lived my life taking care of others putting myself last and being the scapegoat in narcissistic family. But i am on healing journey it just gets difficult sometimes when i hear or see harsh stuff about women it triggers me but i am trying my best to change my perspective

This podcast has been the most inspiring! I have a fitness back ground and have been Is in great shape For a big portion of my life. I got diagnosed with follicular lymphoma and Palmer in 2015 at 43. I had my first relaspe last year and in maintenance treatment treatment. The first treatment left me with quite a bit of limitation. What struck me about this was how we are wired to be ashamed and hyper focused of our bodies. I'm 51 year old woman and I do have salt and pepper hair which i love! . And I'm not Able to stay in shape like i used to be because of the neuropathy, bone pain, etc. I'm passionate about health and taking care of the body so the I weigh movement It's something that I absolutely love and would advocate for. Jameela is young but so wise in her approach to her body and life! Her purpose to help others will benefit us forever!
I have had yrs of therapy and doing EMDR for C-PTSD. Mental health and movement is so crucial for overall well-being! I think thinking outside of the "box" that doesn't need to exist is exactly what women need! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I endured sexual abuse and that makes a for turbulent relationship with one's body so I felt this in my soul. I recently have taken my power back in my life! This podcast felt so empowering😁 I will follow this movement

Incredible how a lot of people find it hard to stand up for themselves it's almost like a real not being true to yourself and trying to appease others feelings when the reality is is you should be paying attention to your own feelings and how you feel and sitting and maintaining boundaries better conducive to a happy standard of living. Like being true unto thy self!
The true definition of loving your neighbor as yourself is to truly love yourself in that means saying no..often!

I can't believe how we as females are so engrained from such a young age to get married and have kids otherwise you're "not a good woman", its in everything from the moment we're handed a baby doll at age 5 to take care of, to Disney movies where the only goal of the woman is to win over the man's love and be happily ever after. We live in an era where we now have the choice to not be forced to get married or give birth, so choose wisely for yourself. It took me my entire 20s to re-examine what I REALLY want. I was a caregiver for my elderly father since the age of 14. I am wiped out, most women won't feel that "wiped out" feeling from caregiving until they have kids. I've already experienced it and I am not naive to it like a lot of women are because they dont know how exhausting that role is until they're in it for years. I want the second half of my life to be peaceful. You also need to ask yourself if marriage is right for you, or if you'd rather live alone. Each has its pros and cons. Loneliness is real but so is regret.

I understood her point AND I don't think there is a requisite to give up your life or whole or half self to be a good mother. I love her being clear on what she wants though and ability to clearly articulate it. There was just somewhat of an implication that women who Do choose to be mothers Have to sacrifice who they are/what they love and I think there is more nuance to play in there. It's just like any relationship. Just as her boyfriend can accommodate her need to be selfish, her children (or any other relationship) could accommodate this as well. I think sometimes we feel we need a Big reason to explain why we don't want to do something. I think it's ok to just say "because I don't want to". Sometimes we project this huge case of imaginary negativity onto what we think the Other decision will look like when it literally does Not have to look like that at all. People forget that for eons of time, mothering and parenting was a Communal experience, similar to how she already feels in wanting to improve the collective society for children vs one-on-one parenting. She is still a parent, in that sense. We all are. I think Parental Neutrality could be an applicable thing here, as well. 😊

Thank you so much I’ve shared it with my daughters, and I wish that every young lady on the planet, could hear this conversation with you too remarkable women! Thank you thank you thank you

This video came to me at a good time.... As I'm listening to it I'm 62 years old and I feel my entire value in this world is in my body.... I ate food yesterday and contemplated purging.... I was riding in a vehicle and it was the only thing that stopped me... As I said, I'm 62 years old and wear a size 3 and I still feel that I'm fat ... As I'm listening I'm on my Bowflex weight machine trying to rebuild muscle and fight gravity especially since I've lost so much weight.... In my head I know that there is no way I will ever have a body of a 20 yr old but because of the perfect body image which we all know is enhanced by filters and Photoshop I feel like I have to do this to try to be of any value.... I wish right now that I could accept myself

I was 32 when I spoke my mind at my job. I had all the receipts to back it up, but it did cost me mentally 6. When I thought I did something right they hit harder. I had managers look down at me and attempt to fire me for something they did.
I left the job in the summer and went to another, I do see the same thing happen, but is too afraid to speak my mind. Although it may feel great to get it off your chest, what is the cost? Not everyone is okay with what you say, so how should I counteract that?

If you’re not allowed to work while in the US, and only live there for three months, aren’t you actually just visiting the country? Wouldn’t moving to a different country (US in this case) indicate that you’re staying for more than a few months?

Lol. Being skinny is actually extremely healthy all of the research says that the skinnier you are in a healthy way of course the longer you live. The more you fast the less calories you take in as long as you have enough nutrition and everything and vitamins and you eat enough is best for you. And getting married to the right person can be one of the best things you ever do for yourself.😂

Totally on some of her points but not my fave interview Lisa has had. I think she contradicts herself so much. Her critiquing Pamela Andersons and how she’s beautiful is the SAME case with her. She totally spends time on herself and she presents herself. And that’s ok! Not patriarchy.. self love can present itself in many ways.
