I have been looking for how to cook beetroot leaves before I throw them.. watched some videos and then was planning to cook with 'dal'.... coincidentally I found this video, liked it so much .. just the way I was thinking about ... going to try it with 'masoor dal' with little modifications....absolutely love the idea of growing organic veggies by the cook along with cooking them ...
Before adding dal u must fry leaves for some time then add .leaves pachi Vasana vastundi

What green chillies are not spicy hot! My wife has trouble with spicy so please share!
The light green thick ones. Whenever you buy chillies, cut a very small piece, taste it and see. If bearable use it.. What you could do is, slit a chilli lengthwise, scrape of all seeds carefully with a knife and use for cooking.. This way you get the flavour without the pungency..

Chef, is it good to eat cabbages leaves and cauliflower leaves in the same way if they are organically grown. We get some leaves in the name of spring leaves. I believe they look like cabbages leaves. But I didn't dare yet to taste any cabbage leaves though we buy spring leaves.
