    Ariel got him several times on his shows when Pimblett was literally just some fighter from the UK, and now he wants money? Oh man.
    Also, I am certain it wouldn't have been a problem if he didn't want to brown his nose in the asshole of uncle Dana, and if Ariel didn't point out that his manager is also a promoter for his previous fighting promotion, and in huge conflict of interest.

    Paddy finally got a taste of some real money and fame, and then he made an error in judgement and let his big persona take over. I suspect that his crew of people also egged that on a bit. I can forgive it as a fan, and even forgive the way he acted after the gordon fight, but I really wish he would try to reflect on both of those and say sorry. That would go a long way with a lot of us i think.

    As far as the "paid vs not paid" argument I can see both sides. However, Ariel saying HE doesn't get paid for these interviews is, in my opinion, a huge lie. Number one, I don't buy for a second that his RUclips channel isn't monetized so for him to say he doesn't get paid from that channel is total crap. Secondly, he says that he has a contract and gets paid the same whether he interviews or not and that is also, I believe, a lie. I'm sure that a big part of why he has the contract that he does is at least in part BECAUSE of fighters being willing to come on his shows and do back stage interviews. How many clicks did he get for the Francis Ngannou interview and ge's trying to say that that stuff wasn't monetized?? C'mon son. Like my old grandpappy used to say, that dog don't hunt. He's either lying or ge's the stupidest businessman ever.

      Ariel said in the video that he is on a contract. So, what that means is whoever he is contractually obligated to is getting paid from youtube. That must have been in their contract agreement since Ariel said he didn't get paid from youtube views. I don't know what was in his contract, but it could be that he is required to have a specific number of views to keep going forward on his contract and he gets paid a salary or a lump sum. I think it is strange that he wouldn't get a percentage though honestly. I also find it odd that his views have no effect on his pay, I'm sure that he renews his contract every so often based on his view count and if he had a lot of views, he would request more pay. So, what he is saying is probably technically true but possibly misleading at the same time. The views matter but he gets paid by his contractor and his worth to the contractor and the contractor might be making money from revenue sources other than youtube that Ariel influences with his show. So, the youtube views may only be a small portion of the total revenue that is being generated by the show. It all really depends on how the money flows and what is in his contract.

    ariel contradicts himself constantly. He's mad that promoters make money off fighters, but doesnt mention anything about the fact that fighters make money off promoters as well. The problem that Paddy is adressing is that Ariel profits off of fighters, and then doesnt pay the fighters in return. people really need more comprehension of situations before they start spouting off hate for no reason. only person that should have ever been in the hot seat is ariel.

    • @Seanself363
      @Seanself363 Год назад

      Except that Ariel DOESN'T profit off fighters. Like he said, he has a contract, he's a journalist. He doesn't get paid by the guest. In addition he is a well established name in MMA journalism and fighters can and should use his show to help promote themselves. It's a win for both. Fighter gets exposure and ariels show needs guests. Paddy seems to think he should be getting paid for all his interviews lol. What?
      People really need comprehension of it, before they write comments on RUclips.

      @spencerearl9964 11 месяцев назад

      @@Seanself363 I really hope you’re just being ignorant and intentionally leaving out details after that little shot about comprehension. I think you’re forgetting that paddy had a paid interview the same day that Ariel was trying to get him to come on for free. Paddy texted him to see if he wanted to hangout while he was in NYC because they previously had good rapport. Ariel framing this as a “oh boo-hoo me” Is absurd and so is this thought that just because Ariel is on contract so he can demand to have anyone he wants on for free. Then nonstop bash promoters that are actually feeding these fighters. I don’t see fighters complain nearly as much as this guy and they put their bodies on the line non-stop so that he can have his nice little contract.

  • @DZNTZ
    @DZNTZ Год назад +4

    I think Paddy has a point. He’s a draw, and he should be paid for drawing. Ariel kinda talked his way around the fact that he does in fact work for a company that profits from his podcasts/vids. So BT and Ariel get paid for clicks… Why shouldn’t Paddy get paid for creating those clicks? Pro mma is a job, Paddy’s a pro and is trying to bank money while he’s young and healthy. You don’t ask a professional for their time for free, when you stand to profit from his time. That’s just facts. I’m sure if there was a charity event and it was all for a good cause, Paddy would lend his time. But for a for-profit show? Pay the man.

    • @waveyjunior
      @waveyjunior Год назад +3

      Thats not how journalism works as Ariel has already explained. If the fighter doesn’t want to come on the show he doesn’t have to. Should every football player get payed for his post game interview as well? For every interaction they have with any media? Because technically they are „making money of it“. People tend to forget that the Athletes make a lot more from them indirectly.

      Does media get paid for promoting the events by writing and talking about it from the promoters? No, they get paid by the audience who watch these shows, same as the fighters and the promoters. It's a mutually beneficial relationship. That's the reason sports people talk to media in the first place.
