I used to be a fan of paddy but he’s done it all to himself. The fame got to his head but after that last performance he’s right back to reality now.
He’s probably a great kid, but he’s not being himself. I can tell he’s forcing it & always trying to top his last showing. In & out the cage. I hope he really embraces who he is & show people they can like him back. Just be real & be you. Mental health is a real thing.

As everyone has said previously, his reaction after the Gordon fight was horrendous and delusional. Zero respect for his opponent, zero humility, asking Dana for "fight of the night" - just....no. The fame, the barstool deal, being Dana's latest pet project, just went straight to his head. I think he has taken what was said on board, and has been more honest with himself, hopefully.
The ballooning up in weight between fights has to stop, and he has to be honest with himself about what he needs to improve. Paddy actually is talented and has an excellent ground game, but his striking and defence is somewhat lacking. I think if he rounds out his skillset, he can be top 15 in the future.

@@DG-jo5lw Darren is definitely a warning to Paddy, as he was fast tracked by the UFC too. Being a one trick pony isn't enough anymore, and you have to take this game seriously at all times. Look at Leon and Tom, put in the work, go all in, and you can reach greatness. Unfortunately for Paddy, LW is a stacked division. But no reason he can't be ranked in the future, if he improves certain aspects and changes his mindset.

Well said mate I think people are ripping on him probably too much but I think you nailed it on the head paddy is indeed talented also not trying to make excuses but he had a broken foot in the Gordon fight and I think we’ve seen way worse robberies that being said if he comes back and wins 1-2 more fights I think he will get less hate that’s just how it goes with MMA fans weirdly

Yep. I got rid of all social media years ago. Not because of abuse, just got sick of it. I never missed it. It's just not healthy to be on that crap all the time. Can't imagine why anyone would stay on it if they're getting abuse.

I think being humbled by disgruntled mma fans isnt a bad thing. You can call them haters but most fans just call bs when they see it. Paddy tried to put mental health as partt of his image and then went and shat all over guy whos dedicatded his whole career to doing things for others. Love Paddy he seems humbled and more mature. Let's not forget on paper he hasn't lost in the UFC with his first 3 fights being very impressive finishes. He has put a lot of fans in the seats, remember when he blew the roof off of the O2 TWICE with the entire crowd chanting his name. He is talented and can be a huge star again. People will keep sleeping on him, with that being sad Tony is actually a pretty dangerous fight for Paddy. Will be interesting.

How you handle a loss is Very important. He struggles with humility in “defeat.” And is a bully while in victory, while on the mic.. Perhaps he may be best choosing better tear jerking charities, to get those clicks.. Lots of conflicting beliefs, and hypocrisy in this young man’s very disturbed head.. It’s not because he lost. It’s how he carried himself. He carried on like a whiny baby. Instead of a man. Or maybe a professional.. All for money.. Paddy’s got to pick a side though.. Gigs up.. After all the drama leading up to his last fight with Ariel and the way he carried on after his last fight it’s going to be hard to gain the fans back. He stardom was on such a fast trajectory and it’s going to be hard to win people back. Beating Tony will only make him less popular because Tony is such a fan favourite

Personally, I didn't think it was a robbery at all. But paddy should at least admit it was a close fight that could have went either way. I think to suggest that Gordon clearly won the fight is just as bad as saying paddy clearly won the fight. It was a poor fight and a draw would have probably been a fair result

This is the problem for young people nowadays. Being brought up with social media means you're not concentrating on what is important, in Paddy's case, fighting.
You're just as concerned about likes and how many views you're getting. This is far from healthy.

I think it was a very bad look how he acted after his last fight, brown nosing Dana and the whole conflict with Ariel. The death threats and all the hate he's gotten is unwarranted though, in my opinion. I do think he's a likeable lad at the back of it. Takes courage to be as open as he is here about everything. Hope it's a banger between him and Tony. Perfect time to make that fight.

I bumped into Paddy randomly at UFC London in July, and then Product Earth in August. Both times he was an absolute G and happy to give his time to fans (even though he was absolutely SWARMED). Good luck against Tony, the guy's a true legend. "You're only as good as your last fight" - people will soon forget about the Gordon fight if you keep winning.

I’m a big paddy fan but lost a little bit of respect for him after the Gordon fight as he couldn’t admit that he didn’t look the best but he’s gained my respect back after taking such a dangerous fight against Ferguson, it’s a really dangerous man to fight after having such a lacklustre fight last time out but as the guy said UFC is a better place with paddy in it

I don't think you can call Tony dangerous anymore. Any young decently athletic fighter should outperforms Ferguson at this point. His reactions are absolutely shot. He's still a wildcard but he's not the same fighter whatsoever.

Whoever made this upcoming matchup is doing Paddy no favours. If he wins, he becomes even more disliked for beating an old Tony. If he loses, then he'll be trollled even worse for losing to an old Tony. Can't see him coming out good in any outcome but there's always that large, loud fickle following that just go with the wind.
I’m sure the UFC offered him other fights. Paddy chose to fight Tony. This is all on him.
