Paddy is an amazing advocate for mental health (especially breaking down stereotypes of men with problems being weak). Dude rolls with 10 marines in a row with 100% success, and within 2 minutes he's talking about times when mental illness made him cry. That type of honesty from such a warrior is how you move society away from prejudice and towards health and growth. I've only recently come across Paddy's content but he just keeps on impressing me.
To go up against 10 Marines in top physical condition is insane, it's even more insane that he did that after doing such an intense workout. Paddy is a machine!
Paddy dropping the example that "anyone can win, doesn't matter, I could start fighting with a 14 year old, get caught with a right hook, and get put fast asleep." is funny asf.
Yo Paddy going 10-0 against a gauntlet of marines then going into a mental health awareness moment. Hard not to root for the man for his ability and then also his humility.
The Marine knows that in actual combat he will be carrying someone who will weigh at least 200lb with their gear on. Paddy was serving the country being 200lb lol
Paddy, I'm the current Deputy I MEF chaplain. Thank you for taking the time to not only physically train with my Marines but elevating the importance of being mentally fit. Talking to someone is a demonstration of real courage. Thank you again!!
A professional MMA fighter speaking to a group of marines about breaking down and crying and why mental health is important. What a wonderful way to break down stereotypes surrounding what supposedly constitutes manhood. So real. Love this lad. Been following him for quite a while now and he just keeps growing. A wonderful example.
the constitutions of manhood aren't intended to bring people down. they are meant to promote selflessness, to hold yourself like nothing in the world bothers you so the people around you don't have to worry. to give others a rock, instead of wanting that from others. if your to caught up in your own head, you can't help anyone. if you have problems, real problems speak. but to many people get to self involved without looking at what they have, life is suffering. that's just a fact, the trick is identifying whether your suffering really is as bad as you think it is, and whether it's worth taking yourself out of the running when it comes to caring for others. because that's exactly what your doing by going down the rabbit hole. i don't know what they are worth in the long run, but i do know that stoicism isn't worthless. especially if you care more about the well being of those around you more then yourself.
Yea it can get ego driven and emotional grappling like that, especially amateurs, and a little friendly tap lets them know you're not looking to take it there(an actual fight)or hurt them. Humbling martial art BJJ is.
Yo fam, I’m a small content creator, and I make a variety of entertaining reactions, vlogs, and a range of other content and I’m still working On quality but I guarantee you will find something you will enjoy!🥊🥊🥊
I've been on exercise with a few marines, and the biggest surprise is that these guys tapped and didn't just choke out or get their arms snapped. Stubborn bunch, proud bunch and tough bunch. And they have reasons to be all those things. Much respect for the amount of training and skill they possess. We still managed to capture six of them in our exercise though, but man am I glad they are on our side.
Easy they tapped because they're training, there's no need and no excuse to willingly injure yourself training, it's counterproductive, that training is their job.
Paddy, As a long time fan of the sport, veteran, and suicide attempt survivor, thank you for taking the time out of your day to speak to these marines. You don’t understand how much that probably meant to them. You’re such a class act brother, quickly becoming my favorite fighter.
Are people really this dumb nowadays? Even 2000 year ago weaponless fighting skills were useless on the battlefield. A Marine would be a bad soldier focusing on that. It's literally 0.005% of his training. No shit they all get smothered by a professional Mma fighter. It's not what you train for as a soldier. Next time Paddy vs New York ballet ensemble , who will win,? the big mystery
As a vet that has battled mental health crisis regularly/daily, I really didn't expect the video to take the turn it did and I have so much respect for Paddy after this. This was great.
men's mental health means a lot to paddy. recently one of his closes friend commit suicide and ever since then he's been telling men its ok to speak about ur problems
I agree. As a veteran with PTSD it's refreshing to both see and hear support for not only men but men serving as well. The level and type of stress men in the armed forces face is unfathomable at times.
Paddy is a good kid and a big kid at heart💜 His mother should be proud of herself for raising such great character and personality traits in him. Cheers ya'll. God bless the Marines and Paddy for what an intense workout and marines guys too.🇬🇧🦁💜🦅🇺🇸
I can't believe I just saw Paddy make 10 Marines tap out after a grueling work out circuit like that, the man is an absolute machine. I also love how he was able to open up about mental health struggles and how important it is to reach out to a friend or professional. All around great human being truly an inspiration.
As a Marine, believe me when I say that this is going to be one of the most memorable moments of their lives. Not just because they got to meet a famous person; BUT because they trained as warriors with a warrior.
Keep that grace when ordered to turn on your countrymen. Coming to a dying Country near you. GG. Way to keep the American Spirit going with indoctrination and governmental obedience. That's EXACTLY what We The People were founded on.
I love how Paddy is so real and makes men realize we can speak up on mental health and dont have to keep our thoughts bottled up. Plus he is exciting to watch. One of my fav fighters!
Great video. Love the Marines and watching Paddy connect with them, work out with them, give fighting pointers, grapple with them, and then open up about his own struggles in a real way. He’s one of my favorites. Hope he has a good life with his family and stays healthy.
Challenge coin and a signed ammo lid is pretty mad respect. Paddy is a legend. I’ve never seen someone more humble and cocky at the same time in my life haha
To be honest I haven’t been the biggest fan of Paddy since he came into the UFC. As a Former U.S. Marine, it’s really humbling to see Paddy taking time out of his schedule to hang out and share his knowledge with those Marines. I’m a fan for sure now. Would love to see a video of Paddy training with the British Royal Marines. Those guys are top notch for sure. Big fan
I’d like to see it but I don’t think there would be any different a result. However hard he was asked to train imo he’s then gonna tap out ten extremely fit men without problem. He’s extremely fit himself. (Despite Saying how fat he is at 200lb he still looks well) and he’s a world class ju jitsu player / fighter (?) good luck to him. I hope he makes “Connor mcgregor money”
it’s so hard not to root for paddy man. he’s so talented in the ring but also so goofy and funny you seriously just wanna relate to him. and the fact that he’s such a big advocate for mental health especially with the stigma that men can’t speak up, he’s really gonna help change lives if not doing so already. he’s also so honest, unafraid to open up to people in hope that maybe someone is feeling how he once did and can find some comfort in doing the same. good on you paddy 👏🏽
Paddy seems like such a genuine guy. The point he made about people who are your true friends/mates is important. When your going through dark moments in life and the people around you don't want to hear it they aren't your real friends/mates. That's an important distinction. 👍
I mean , they're American marines. They're trained in gender neutral pronounce and not this jiu jitsu wrestling stuff. Now I'd love to see Paddy do the same to some Russians. I bet he wouldn't be as half as successful
@Svengali... Hes one of the top UFC guys in his weight class for a reason.. Most regular people training at gyms wouldnt have a chance. It would be like Canelo going to random gyms and sparring against people in the ring... The only place I could see giving Paddy trouble is if he went to the Gracie gym in Brazil
@@Jeremy-lv1bv Going great ! Took over land bigger than the size of France and they're now incorporated into Russia. All the ethnic Russians in Ukraine which make up to almost 40 % of the people now live in one country : Russia. Didn't you see the referendums ? Why don't you do something about it ?
I love how hes so apologetic for the extra pounds when hes realized someone has to carry him literally 😂 hes got a vibe like “damn man i would have thinned out a few if youd have told me ahead of time you were gonna make some goose carry me”
@@nathanhale8879 I didn’t say I was surprised. & there is the MCMAP or Marine Core Martial Arts Program, and they train multiple practices of martial arts, jujitsu and wrestling are two key ones involved. They train in all sorts of conditions, & after being exposed to pepper spray, crazy shit like that. Grappling w a marine is not an easy task, they might not train every day like he does but they’re certainly not unprepared, & the cardio needed to do ten in a row is wild.
One of the dudes not only I would like to hangout with but also to get tapped out by. Paddy continues to stay humble and grounded with all the "Fame" he has brought on by being a rare fighter
Now I want him to go to the Shaolin Temple and fight 10 MARTIAL Monks there. NOT the secular ones because theyre not that good at fighting, it's not mainly their focus.
I never knew who you were until I saw your post-fight speech, as someone who has battled with depression I thought it was highly inspiring. But now after this, you have a fan for life. Being a Marine myself many years ago a few of my buddies are no longer here because of suicide and that Q&A you did was spot on. Thank you so much for being that badass voice that speaks to the warrior "get it off your chest"... Thank you!
Just like you I came to known him through that speech. I am not gonna sit here and say I am a marine too but I have gone through al lot of stuff. I was brought up and grew up in an environment where talking about or showing your emotions was a sign of weakness. That was the dumbest advise and sjit I have ever got and known. Talking about your emotions doesn't make you less of man. In fact it makes you even stronger because my personal growth came when I started talking about it and understanding where it came from and it gave me a better understanding about myself. Like he said get it off your chest and work on self (mental)growth.
Former Arty SSG, and I currently volunteer with veterans dealing with mental health issues. Paddy talking to these guys about mental health is exactly what we need more of. All of us need to be more open in discussing this stuff, and it's so, so powerful coming from a guy like Paddy. God bless Paddy.

This world is rapidly passing away and I hope that you repent and take time to change before all out disaster occurs! Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36) if you believed in Messiah you would be following His commands as best as you could. If you are not a follower of Messiah I would highly recommend becoming one. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life - Revelation 3:20. Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13 over the course of 1260+ years. Revelation 17 confirms that the beast is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God. Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc. Have a blessed day!

Imagine if instead of this they were rolling w someone like Ngannou... Not even 30 marines would've been enough to beat him
@@tristan5544 that's what I was just about to chime in with. 3 at once is kinda like how in the pride days there were those "freak" bouts where they'd have a pro fighter against someone average but the average guy would be an actual giant. I just wanted to thank you Paddy for being one of the few UFC fighters that isn’t afraid to speak up about mental health and true problems that exist in people’s lives. Thanks to you I have had the courage to speak with my Dad about how I am feeling instead of keeping it all trapped away until I explode or worse. Keep on being a great fighter. Much love ❤.
Proud to be a scouser. Marines are a tough bunch but looked like they took Paddy to heart and enjoyed the training and grappling with him. Much respect to Paddy and much respect to the marines!
Your post fight speech after losing your friend prompted me to ring my son and make it crystal clear to him that for as long as I'm alive, he is never alone and can talk to me about anything that's on his mind. This prompted a long chat where he said that seeing people like Paddy and Tyson Fury talking about mental health and how it is not weak to talk to other people if struggling is allowing other young men to open up to each other and support one another. Vitally important that we all support our friends and family members by simply telling them we want to talk, not attend their funeral.

It's been a while since I've watched military content but the guys in the video seem so diffrent to what I remember. I somehow still have the bearded dudes in my head with bull neck, bowling shoulders, 4 scars on their face and a voice like they just defeated 3 grizzly bears
Biggest mofo I ever met was teaching a similar course near Edson range(also Pendleton) about 7 years again had to be at least 7’ he retired out as an E-7 but was hired as a MCMAP instructor and MMA coach for the regional USMC team. but he had similar thoughts to you Paddy. The mentality for sure, he wasn’t invincible seen him get rolled plenty but fuck I’ve never fought anyone like that Sasquatch before. Props to you Paddy.
Take it from a Marine infantry veteran. The training isn't so much about making you some lethal mma fighter, it's about learning how to employ your weapons systems in warfare. The only "hand to hand" that we really get is super minimal basically, just enough to where if you were ever in a situation like that in combat, that you can get to where your pointing your weapon back at the other guy. And I hate to have to add this... the military as a whole has gone waaayy downhill compared to even 10 or 15 years ago.
Paddy thank you. I work in EMS and respond to young marines just like those lads you rolled with and talked to. You could’ve easily saved one of those marines life. You never really know where someone is in life and those guys have some very high stressful jobs!
I just left Camp Pendleton finished my four years. This is so warming to see people with such a big image take their shoes off and come to our level speak to us and help us. I guarantee 85% of those marines will never forget getting to work with you. Thanks for what you do and more importantly strongest attribute is your character and paddy showed it this day. Best part of the video is him rolling with them, really shows the level these ufc guys are at. The marines were putting the pressure on & paddy is getting them to tap.
Some big guys too, guys who also do this day in day out. I think it would have been a big humbling for everyone there to keep going and keep improving. I know it would be for me
Awesome video. Paddy gained a ton of respect here, in my opinion. He is very real. Hate seeing the ring persona, but the REAL Paddy is pretty down to earth. Great stuff!

@@trevor5485 I’ve been watching UFC all my life. I compared him to Connor bc they are both entertainers but Connor has lost sight of his roots and who is was to get to where he is. Paddy has fast become my favorite fighter. He gets it done in the cage and his personality outside the cage is top notch. His openness and bringing awareness to mental health is a wonderful thing because it's rare in today's 'macho' culture of men, MMA, and fighting in general. Rarely anyone, man or woman, goes through life without fighting some form of inner demon and it's great to hear from someone in his place talk about it being okay to reach out. I'll support Paddy even if he loses every fight in the cage from here on out because he's winning at this hard thing we all go through called LIFE.

I really like the way he spoke with the Marines, especially being honest about taking care of your mental as well as physical health.

@@danbrand2455 What just in case the Marines have every piece of artillery, fixed wing aircraft, and attack helicopters all destroyed at once? And in case their m16a4 and SAWs all fail in unison? If the Marines are fighting in hand to hand combat the world has already ended.
The little quip that Paddy made about having the balance of a ballerina is slept on knowledge. Having good balance and control over your center of gravity is extremely helpful in grappling.
Just wanted to say thanks for showing my brothers some love! USMC is one of the physically hardest branches to excel in, and those who make it through boot camp are the toughest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing! That Q&A session was very endearing and touching, thank you for being open about your struggles and keeping it down to earth. Sounds like you have had great mentors and support around you.
I'm going through a really rough time mentally right now and hearing him talk about mental health is powerful! I never want to talk to people, guess I don't want to seem weak, I always think with enough time in my own head I can figure it out but I think I'm going to talk to someone. Thank you Paddy you are a legend🙏

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to these young Marines and give them solutions to problems all men endure at some point in life. Paddy, you're a gem. Stay safe & stay handsome. ❤ 👍 ✌
Paddy is an amazing advocate for mental health (especially breaking down stereotypes of men with problems being weak). Dude rolls with 10 marines in a row with 100% success, and within 2 minutes he's talking about times when mental illness made him cry.
True Champion!
the constitutions of manhood aren't intended to bring people down. they are meant to promote selflessness, to hold yourself like nothing in the world bothers you so the people around you don't have to worry. to give others a rock, instead of wanting that from others. if your to caught up in your own head, you can't help anyone. if you have problems, real problems speak. but to many people get to self involved without looking at what they have, life is suffering. that's just a fact, the trick is identifying whether your suffering really is as bad as you think it is, and whether it's worth taking yourself out of the running when it comes to caring for others. because that's exactly what your doing by going down the rabbit hole.
i don't know what they are worth in the long run, but i do know that stoicism isn't worthless. especially if you care more about the well being of those around you more then yourself.
You know at first I thought he was a bit fake but I was completely wrong. The more I see of Patrick the Badrick the more I like

@@trevor5485 I’ve been watching UFC all my life. I compared him to Connor bc they are both entertainers but Connor has lost sight of his roots and who is was to get to where he is. Love or hate Connor, he’s the highest paid UFC fighter bc he sells fights. I don’t know any of these guys on a personal level and I won’t pretend like I do. I can only judge them on the things I see them say, do, and how they carry themselves.

Repent and follow Jesus my friend! Repenting doesn't mean confessing your sins to others, but to stop doing them altogether. Belief in Messiah alone is not enough to get you into heaven - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Contemplate how the Roman empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years to accomplish the religion of the Israelites C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20
Revelation 6 1st Seal: White horse = Roman Empire conquering nations under Trajan 98-117 AD & Gospel spreading rapidly. 2nd Seal: Red horse, bloody civil wars with 32 different Emperors, most killed by the sword. 185-284 AD 3rd Seal: Black horse, economic despair from high taxes to pay for wars, farmers stopped growing. 200-250 AD 4th Seal: Pale horse, 1/4th of Romans died from famine, pestilence; at one point 5,000 dying per day. 250-300 AD 5th Seal: Diocletian persecuted Smyrna church era saints for ten years, blood crying out for vengeance. 303-312 AD 6th Seal: Political upheaval in the declining Roman Empire while the leaders battled each other. 313-395 AD
Revelation 7 Sealing of 144,000, the saints, before trumpet war judgments, which led to the fall of the Roman Empire.

Revelation 9 Two woe judgments against the central 1/3rd and eastern 1/3rd of the Roman Empire. 612-1453 AD 5th Trumpet: Locust & scorpions point to Arabia, the rise of the Muslim army. Islam hides Gospel from Arabs. 612-762 AD 6th Trumpet: Turks released to attack Constantinople with large cannons (fire, smoke, brimstone). 1062-1453 AD
Revelation 10 The little book is the printed Bible, which was needed after the Dark Ages when Scriptures were banned by Popes.
Revelation 11 7th Trumpet: Martin Luther measured Roman Church; found that it’s an apostate church, not part of true temple. The two witnesses are the Scriptures and saints who proclaim the pure Gospel and testify against the antichrist Popes. Papal Church pronounced Christendom dead in 1514 AD. Silence for 3.5 years. Then Luther posted his 95 Thesis, which sparked the Protestant Reformation and brought the witnesses back to life. Millions of Catholics were saved.
Revelation 12 Satan used the Roman Empire to try to wipe out the early Church, Satan was cast down as the Empire collapsed.
Revelation 13 The antichrist beast Popes reigned in power 1,260 years, 538-1798, is the little horn of Daniel 7, son of perdition. The false prophet Jesuit Superior General rose to power from land (earth) of Vatican and has created many deceptions.
Revelation 14 Points to great harvest during the Protestant Reformation & wrath on Catholic countries who obey antichrist Pope.
Revelation 15 Overcoming saints victorious over the beast. Prelude to 7 vials and judgment on those who support Papal Rome.
Revelation 16 1st Vial: The foul sore of atheism was poured out on Catholic France, leaving them with no hope, led to revolution. 2nd Vial: The French Revolution started in 1793, killed 250,000, as France had obeyed the Pope and killed saints. 3rd Vial: The French Revolution spread to rural areas of France, where Protestants had been killed in river areas. 4th Vial: The bloody Napoleonic wars shed the blood of countries who had revered and obeyed the antichrist Pope. 5th Vial: Judgment on the seat of the beast.
