Owner here, I just wanted to say I’m very happy with the overall buying experience, PCA has been very responsive and flexible through the whole process. And about the car I can say I’m not disappointed at all, the rust was mentioned on the inspection sheet provided with the sales listing, it wasn’t specified where and how bad however but honestly the floor board is one of the easiest place for rust repairs so I’m not worried at all, I’m kind of lucky the car doesn’t come with floor carpeting otherwise most of the rust would have gone unnoticed I think. Also this is a pretty rare car so there wasn’t many others to choose from unfortunately, I’ve been looking for over 6 months at auctions with no luck, before finding this one from a used car dealer, I was specifically looking for a stock 660cc manual RS/R C-chassis model with the 550cc era interior and they were only produced between 1990 and 1991. Since the car seems very healthy mechanically speaking there’s just a bit of welding and rust treatment to do and it’ll hit the road in no time, it’s also the first of its kind in Belgium, and maybe even in neighboring countries so I’m very excited to bring this thing to local car meets.

I bought a car here in Japan and asked the dealer if it had be in an accident. They said no and it was also listed as no repair history. Months later when checking the spare I found it had been obviously rear-ended.

Awesome video guys as always!!! Absolutely love the purchase walk around, and getting to know all these hidden gems!! But what would be great and doesn’t have to be the price that was paid. But a general ball park figure of what one could cost upon purchase and import, would be very interesting and may help sales? Not that you guys would need any help with that, but as they say the more the merrier. 👍👍😃😃

Blimey after watching the rest of this vid, on this cars rust issues is terrible! Over here in the uk, it would have been scrapped! It would have to be a very particular car in the uk, and would have to be something very special and ultra rare and desirable, to have this extent of rust to be fully repaired! 😢 Did the purchaser buy this off their own back without going to Pacific autos first?! 😢

In Canada anything over 15 years old will have this amount of rust or way more lol. This things pretty good for being 31.

@@NotWBT I’ve seen much older cars from Japan with zero rust. The point of buying from Japan is to have a old rust free cars. There’s one of these Alto Works cars advertised on EBay uk, that my friend has looked at and that’s rust free fresh import. So I don’t understand why this particular car is in such a poor state? 😢

@Darren Bull it all depends on how the car was used and kept. The reason so many rust free cars come from Japan is the strictness of the inspection. So few cars have a chance to get rusty and stay street legal. And once most cars fail shaken, they get traded or scrapped to free up space. Also depends where the car lived most of its life, in the snowy areas, cars can be half dissolved by salt or if a car is from particularly close to the seaside, cars will rust like its a competition. Overall, its not that the cars are rust free, it's just there's a very aggressive "filter" you could say. Japan is a lot larger than many expect, so there's a big supply of used cars which would be rust free. But rust free classics will always be a bit harder to come by.
