Well I do have a theory that the Precursors were a space bering civilization. and the reason any Precursor ship from outer colonies didn't return to earth after the solar flare is that they saw that the survivors reverted back to a primitive state [from a 'Warp Capable Civilisation' to a 'Extremely Primitive Civilization']. resulting in surviving Precursor outer colonies to stay away from earth until it's ready. Besides Precursor outer planet Colonies in the Modern day would be extremely technologically advanced.
the precursors would have degenerated into such varied creatures? the Minotaur and the Gorgon do not have much in common, how could they be of the same species? unless the precursors are composed of many species? And the Sphinx said that "the gods sent her guarded something" so I guess she got orders from the precursors. These mythical creatures make me think more of the creations of the precursors than the precursors themselves.
For me, the fact that Ubisoft gives us this opportunity to experience these ancient civilizations is enough to adore the AC franchise. This is even more amplified with the discovery tour feature. I consider the storyline secondary when compared to taking the ancient civilizations experience all in. So yeah, Origins and Odyssey are my absolute one of the all time favorite games. I've played and still possess copies of all AC games till date lol.
Except the old ones let you experience history and things that actually happened and go into buildings that actually exist and meet characters from the real world. These new games are nothing in comparison
The mythical beings were humans was turned in this ''monsters'' by Isu? They made bad use of Eden Fruit? Or they was created with engineering by First Civilization? I wait an answer by Ubisoft.
I don't know how anyone can possibly complain about the 4 mythic creatures in this game. They are THE great creatures from Greek myth (you know, what the game is based on) and they are designed better than they ever have been in any video game, total visual stunners tucked away in the hidden depths of the world. I hope they add at least one more more in Atlantis.
Xristos Mastouras Oh you mean Kratos an overpowerd video game character that didnt exist in mythology, it is the same as saying someone like superman would easily beat them, I can put any OP character in its place then (I do like GoW games but the overhype of Kratos is just unreal)
I don’t know why people complain about historical accuracy? The reason we don’t see Isu monsters in the later games is because people like Alexios/Kassandra killed all of them years before

I didn't like the ending of this game for those who saw Zanar's latest video posts. And as for the modern-day character Layla while I don't hate her she still doesn't make sense to be the modern protagonist because she doesn't have the 6th sense to solve the many mysteries of the Isu people's puzzles that they left millions of years ago. Plus killing Desmond or not making any of his other cousins from the novels or someone close to him take his place is one of the main biggest mistakes of what the devs made so far even Nolan North still hates the idea of killing Desmond off.
The idea of having a modern day plot at all is dead on arrival to begin with. It doesn't add or take anything away from the main story that we pay see and play to begin with. Its just... there.
It did to begin with, just not anymore, now it just sits there an exists for no good reason. To begin with the modern day and historical segments intertwined with each other, there was an actual drive for why you went back in time and what all this fighting was for. After that is when it all became stale.

I quite like the way Assassin's Creed is going. You can still go through a huge majority of the game being stealthy, or have the option to be loud and proud, or even blend them for fluid take downs via stealth and better combat
@@PugilistCactus I mean, if this is the beginnings of the actual Creed, and it's set in this time period where assassins were starting out and combat was far more pronounced in society, then it makes sense that they would go this route story wise. But hey, to each their own
It's not even *just* an option. It's basically encouraged. The combat is challenging, unless you're one of those guys who spend hours researching the best build with like 9999 damage points per hit, and you don't just tap a button to one-hit counter every enemy like in the old games. It was a dirty blow removing a sure-one-hit stealth assassination, but overall stealth is smoother and more seamless than the older AC games.
@@zgmf-x19ainfinitejustice28 I do agree that stealth should be one-shot kills at times, but I don't think it's a dirty blow. Considering this is *before* the Assassins, aka the beginning of the Creed, of course it'll be mostly combat centered. You aren't just killing people of interest, you're on a quest to find and reunite your family, and only learn about the targets of interest when they begin to hunt you down/drag you into the fray. You're a misthios in the game, a mercenary, stealth isn't really supposed to be your go-to all the time. This is before the Templars, before they became something an entire organization needed to be built to destroy.
Assassin creed. The early games in the franchise explore the subject of assassins forming a creed to fight the templar in a struggle over the claim of mystical objects made by a fallen advanced civilisation of higher beings that created humans. For a very long time players and developers are focusing on exploring and expanding on this story aspect in the franchise with even the name of the franchise even being name after the assain creed itself. Until later on the story shifted away from the fight between the assain creed and templar to what they are actually fighting over and what these things, power and truth are capable of. This has now been what assain creed have evolve into. If you follow the lore in assassin creed it basically tell everything that happened after the fall of ISU and modern primates aka humans using machines and genetic memories in their dna to relive the past memories in order to look into the entire span of the traverse and passed timeline. Everything from the restarting of civilisations and empires to lives and dramas of the people living in its historical periods and settings etc. The games is trying to tell you what people are fighting or protecting over, what is the original version of the human faiths, how countries are form and how mythology monsters came about etc. Assassin creed has become an attempt and an encapsulation of everything that have ever happened from the BC all the way to the AD era up to this very present moment. Everything you know, do, and live is all part of the assassin creed universe. Trying to help people understand what is going on nowadays when they start to see their assassin games changing with each new game ubisoft releases out.
The whole confusion and dilemma over what assassin creed is depend on what you see assassin creed as and how you and developers interpreted and give meaning to it. Some people want assassin creed to be about assassins while others expand upon it and include everything into the assassin creed games to let players explore every subjects in the whole world itself in the assassin creed games.
Again, I personally think AC "real" story ended with AC3. Beyond that is just over-glorified milk fan fictions, even with the ancient/before crusade timeline.
The Minotaur was a pain but got it done. Things you need for it: 1. Level 38 minimum 2. Fire arrows and exploding arrows 3. Olive wood......lots of it 4. Dodging....yeah because ya know...getting by this thing wouldn’t be ideal.
“level 38 minimum” enemies get hard when you are more than 4 levels lower than them, then they will the skull. Enemies with red numbers aren’t too challenging unless there are a quantity. try getting a better build to destroy them, I did massive damage on shooting the creatures in the head. For example beating Polemon the wise who was the sage for the silver vein was easy even when he’s 10 levels above me with a build

And also as for this time I don't think the supernatural monsters that you face in the game are part of a hullicination like how Origins did it. The novels mentioned some of the isu people possess supernatural feats such one of the characters shown in one book had 6 arms. Which make sense because I remember that when AC1 was created the AC team did stated that both Prince of Persia and the AC series took place in the same universe with AC1 took place around Prince of Persia 1 for the ps2/gc/Xbox era. So maybe the dagger of time is infact a piece of eden.
Nah Isu were technologically beyond human imagination. They could've genetically engineered the beasts. The Staff of Hermes allowed Pythagoras and Kassandra immortality.
John Seed yep and also the shroud of eden also supposedly brought back Jesus and some other assassin's son that was in the same brotherhood of Ezio in AC2/Relevations. The isus are so advanced that they had isus shown throughout the series also in 3 who interacted with Desmond was infact highly advance virtual intelligence that possess some of their dna and they had their own free will.
I have actually beaten all these mythical creatures (on nightmare difficulty) and the toughest was Medusa and Minotaur, so as closer you are getting to the end of the battle - wilder they get. I would recommend you to use The Greek Heroes set due to its durability and armour
@@user-xk5ft2dy3xthey could have made the stage a hide and seak stage where u use the whole stage to avoid medusa's gaze which then makes the gameplay more like in the myth (like have a triangle in front of medusa where if she see's u in that area u will turn into a stone) and made the game more like an assasins creed game
That is true but you know how it goes in games. If they had do it like that otherwise you would never be able to beat her or she wouldn't even be in the game
I think the point of all these monsters is that they are the result of Isu tech and the mythology has developed from there. So the myth of Medusas gaze is like an embellished tale of the eye beams shown here. Its kinda the idea that at the centre of every myth is a grain of truth and in this case the Isu are the various gods and the monsters are spawned from their technology
To include so many things in one game is itself remarkable. It needs to be understood that Assasins creed is essentially a retelling of human history, and the depths they are going is epic with explaination to every fucking damn thing.

@@ScorpioTear on the actual map itself in the game, there is a painting of a giant octopus between Seriphos and Paros in the sea before you discover the region. I just beat that boar last night! I was level 12 and this is my first AC game I’ve played. I’m fairly new to gaming having only started in April 2020 and only have played RDR2/O and SW Battlefront 2. I tried Origins but couldn’t get into it. I’ve always had a passion for Greek Mythology and Ancient Greece so when it went on sale last week I said that’s the one, but I digress. So I didn’t know the quest was optional and I went to I kill the boar. I did ok the first time until he called for backup so I tried again being aware now but that charge! The next time I was avoiding an oinker when he charged and I got the time-slowy thing, and no, I don’t know what it’s actually called, and after that all I did was the slowy thing until I got the timing down(I actually restarted the game on my husband’s account to play as Leonidas again to learn to parry properly because there wasn’t enough enemies) and then I let him kill me. Then I was makin bacon and for my troubles I got a nice bow and a quest that told me I just accomplished one HELL of a feat at that moment. I know there are so many more moments to come in this world and I can’t wait to meet each and every one of them. Just as an aside, I’m not watching the video, I only clicked the link because the title was cut off and then first comment was about the boar so I just wanted to share my experience.
they are also just popular riddles i heard before the hobbit came out, also im surprised they didn't have the original sphinx riddle in this one. maybe a random riddle generator from a list of riddles for this boss? doubt it but could be cool and in general harder riddles would be better.
Saint Mastema I don't think you heard the riddles before the hobbit, the book came out after Tolkien's experience in WWI so unless your 80 years old the hobbit is probably one of the first recorded usage of the riddles used. Might be a few but I doubt the lot of em
Distortion Reaper I keep seeing you tell people this and all I have to say is so fucking what. Is a Unicorn in Greek mythology or any of the other outrageous weapons/items from Odyssey or Origins in their respective mythologies? No, so quit shooting people’s ideas down for fuck’s sake.
Ok so from what I see, the mythical creatures are people who were driven mad and transformed by apples of eden, in the other games it makes sense that they would be nothing more than maps(ac1 and rouge) instructions to build advanced technology(ac 2) messages, be it auditory, visual and hallucinogenic(ac3, origins, revelations) or mind control devices(all ac games) since the energy they contain would have severely waned after centuries. Hell even in ac 3 an apple of eden disintegrates in connor's hand because it ran out of energy. Just to be clear I'm only talking about the apples of eden not the other artifacts like the shroud, the sword, the lantern or those things in rouge that caused earthquakes or the device in black flag that can track people.

I also have a theory that the Earth is flat.
@@westaustralia9812 really do tell?
the precursors would have degenerated into such varied creatures? the Minotaur and the Gorgon do not have much in common, how could they be of the same species? unless the precursors are composed of many species? And the Sphinx said that "the gods sent her guarded something" so I guess she got orders from the precursors. These mythical creatures make me think more of the creations of the precursors than the precursors themselves.
Éfar Isti Truth! Some of those creatures might be living with the Precursors in those outer colonies. But who knows.

For me, the fact that Ubisoft gives us this opportunity to experience these ancient civilizations is enough to adore the AC franchise. This is even more amplified with the discovery tour feature.

Bildnis DS IKR?
Yeah but the story continues to lack any direction or identity, so there's that...
There's two significant one the developers haven't done yet, but perhaps they're saving them for a DLC... the Lernaean Hydra & Cerberus.

Now that's one hell of a great speech
I personally think this envisions the rise of the Templars, like how Origins saw the rise of the Brotherhood.

I appears they were somehow created by the technology of the first civilization
Nah Isu were technologically beyond human imagination. They could've genetically engineered the beasts. The Staff of Hermes allowed Pythagoras and Kassandra immortality.
John Seed yep and also the shroud of eden also supposedly brought back Jesus and some other assassin's son that was in the same brotherhood of Ezio in AC2/Relevations. The isus are so advanced that they had isus shown throughout the series also in 3 who interacted with Desmond was infact highly advance virtual intelligence that possess some of their dna and they had their own free will.
Theheroneeded Willette yes possibly or genetic engineered and grown.
I think it's later explained that they were a failed Isu project
I have actually beaten all these mythical creatures (on nightmare difficulty) and the toughest was Medusa and Minotaur, so as closer you are getting to the end of the battle - wilder they get. I would recommend you to use The Greek Heroes set due to its durability and armour
It is hard to kill Medusa
I thought u have to look Medusa in the eyes not shoot a beam at u 🧐🧐🧐
@@user-xk5ft2dy3xthey could have made the stage a hide and seak stage where u use the whole stage to avoid medusa's gaze which then makes the gameplay more like in the myth (like have a triangle in front of medusa where if she see's u in that area u will turn into a stone) and made the game more like an assasins creed game
Mekomancer - Tan that definitely wouldve been better i agree
That is true but you know how it goes in games. If they had do it like that otherwise you would never be able to beat her or she wouldn't even be in the game
I think the point of all these monsters is that they are the result of Isu tech and the mythology has developed from there. So the myth of Medusas gaze is like an embellished tale of the eye beams shown here. Its kinda the idea that at the centre of every myth is a grain of truth and in this case the Isu are the various gods and the monsters are spawned from their technology
In the books of old medusa was able to harness energy around her so she could use the spirit bomb to stop buu
To include so many things in one game is itself remarkable. It needs to be understood that Assasins creed is essentially a retelling of human history, and the depths they are going is epic with explaination to every fucking damn thing.
