Yay!! It's so thick, but your hair has always been thick. I remember my hair feeling rough after I first cut it off, there may be something to the "scab hair" thing. I do however believe that it also may be that people are not used to the feel of their natural texture. As my hair grew out I learned the products that it likes and doesn't like and saw changes and softness afterward. I pretty much know how my hair works at this point. It's all a process. Sis enjoy the journey. My last relaxer was April 2019. I big chopped May 2020. I was neck length. I just did a blow out and silk press for my bday and I am now full APL. Natural hair is so versatile and contrary to popular belief....much easier to maintain. I loved every stage of milestones of growth. Wishing you the best!

I had some box braids I had just taken out at 10mths& my stuff was SUPER matted like you were saying yours was. My goal too, was 12mths but I said forget that. I don't have to keep dealing with these 2 textures if I don't won't to lol. I think we both did good by going the time length we did. I have a fro and It has grown out more since I chopped. The beginning of Feb 2021 will be 2yrs for me being natural. ,& I'm still loving the journey

I am going on 2 months post relaxer and this new growth is already stressful but I am in it for the natural journey. This will be my 4x going natural and this time will be my last time.
A tangle teezer brush on Amazon became my best friend. I realized that even wide tooth combs were not cutting it for me to detangle and I just hopped on Amazon because my daughter broke my Denman brush. Gameeee changer that brush. So better than a Denman and detangles hair like a dream, butterrrr. Even ladies with kids should get one. Kids will thank u.

I didn't realize the relaxer was causing that. Your dad tripped me out when he said he didn't know about your hair bc you be wearing them wigs and he thought thats what was going on lol🤣. The scab hair thing is real. Your hair will grow in silkier, regardless of curl pattern. You wil soon want/need to get a professional cut. Even though you big chopped, the ends should be taken off more. This will help with seeing your curl pattern a bit more a nd looking more moisturized. I know you're happy for a short wash day!!!!
I big chop like two or three years ago! Its on my channel...lol but I think I need to do it again. I need to get back consistent posting videos....I suggest buying a sponge from the beauty supply...with holes in it to style...love that look!!

I’ll be natural in a year next month sometime I get discouraged about my hair but I’m beginning to love my hair I have more thickness than length I rather for it to be thick than thin my hair hair different curl patterns. @@SW33TSPARKL3 if u want your curls to really pop. And overnight deep condition is not good. U only need 15 with heat. And u will see ur curls 🤔
