Mine stems from childhood. My dad paid for my mom to go to cosmetology school then opened her a little salon. I would feel soo at home watching her do hair. It always makes me feel the way I did then, when I watch people do hair.
I love how nonchalant you are about your hair. I think many of us black women fall into the psychological trap of our hair defining our self worth. Yes long hair makes us women feel good, but it isn’t our only attractive feature 💁🏾♀️
It's more than that. It's our antennas. We receive information from our hair. I believe this . I feel different with my hair long and natural and I don't mess with it. That's why they promote cutting our hair, coloring it all these endless chemicals etc. Because it kills our connections and we had no idea.
I learned this from AfrikanHairGod: the reason why the shampoo doesn't foam a lot the first time is because your hair might be really dirty (no offense lol). Shampoos have clarifying agents and they attach to dirt and help to remove dirt when you wash it out. If you double shampoo your hair (shampoo it two times) you'll notice that the second time you shampoo it has way more foam than the first time because your hair contains less dirt.
The fact that you don't use a comb on your hair is amazing. I have very curly tangly hair and I have to use a comb to help with detangling. And I also throw the shed hair on the shower walls as well
Thank you for showing your shedded hair! I use to think there was something wrong with how much my hair sheds because alot of natural youtubers never showed really what it looked like, other that a mashed up ball of hair 🙄
I bought the Camille rose shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is great but the conditioner has zero slip to me .. I just use it as a deep conditioner after I de -tangled with a silicone based conditioner.
I only use the cleansing rinse when doing a "co wash" when my hair is in a low manipulation/protective hair style (mini twist, cornrows for example) to get rid of sweat and product buildup about once a week. I don't use it for full wash days though, I need my hair to be squeaky clean!

Hi this is my first time here and I'm ready to subscribe! I'm here for the realness, and my first impression of you is that you show how you really look after not styling your hair. Can't wait to watch more of your videos!
This video was therapeutic, the hair on the hair did throw me off a bit, but I love my our videos regardless Steranda. Also don’t be neglecting your hair anymore. I vaguely mentioned doing a big chop transition in one of your previous comments section or maybe your last live, any conditioners you recommend, because my hair is hair to detangled unless there’s slip on my hair😭
Lol, the hair on the wall is a pretty good idea. I can never get mines to stick very well so I am stuck with balling it up and placing it carefully to the side. But this gave me an idea for like a wall brush or something.
Listen...when you showed your hair that shedded that made me feel so much better. I feel like I did something wrong when I see the amount of hair that sheds....

It's a scalp massager which is very good for the scalp. When you don't do anything to your hair for 2 mths it starts to get matted. You should know that time and start doing your hair or you will have more breakage and hair in your hand. You should at least lightly detangle once within the two months. It will make doing your hair better and less in your hand. Your hair is beautiful 💕🙋🏾♀️
i think you should remember that maybe it wasn’t as sudsy cause like when you applied the shampoo ya hair was still like dirty, feel me. like when my shits dirty and don’t sud up a lot i go in again w a shampoo n i get mad bubbles. could be just me tho 🤷🏾♂️ great video regardless 👏🏾
Great video! I appreciate your transparency. I wash my hair once a month and it sheds about average, if I forget and wash it a month and a half, I get more shedding than I like to see. But the fact is we shed at least 100 hairs a day, whether our hair is exposed or not, it's weird but, that's not hair that broke off due to neglect and needs to grow back, it going to happen regardless. It's natural to see a bunch of shed hair especially if you have long, healthy and thick hair like yours.
