I love how nonchalant you are about your hair. I think many of us black women fall into the psychological trap of our hair defining our self worth. Yes long hair makes us women feel good, but it isn’t our only attractive feature 💁🏾‍♀️

It's more than that. It's our antennas. We receive information from our hair. I believe this . I feel different with my hair long and natural and I don't mess with it. That's why they promote cutting our hair, coloring it all these endless chemicals etc. Because it kills our connections and we had no idea.

I learned this from AfrikanHairGod: the reason why the shampoo doesn't foam a lot the first time is because your hair might be really dirty (no offense lol). Shampoos have clarifying agents and they attach to dirt and help to remove dirt when you wash it out. If you double shampoo your hair (shampoo it two times) you'll notice that the second time you shampoo it has way more foam than the first time because your hair contains less dirt.

  • @Silkyslim48

It's a scalp massager which is very good for the scalp. When you don't do anything to your hair for 2 mths it starts to get matted. You should know that time and start doing your hair or you will have more breakage and hair in your hand. You should at least lightly detangle once within the two months. It will make doing your hair better and less in your hand. Your hair is beautiful 💕🙋🏾‍♀️

Great video! I appreciate your transparency. I wash my hair once a month and it sheds about average, if I forget and wash it a month and a half, I get more shedding than I like to see. But the fact is we shed at least 100 hairs a day, whether our hair is exposed or not, it's weird but, that's not hair that broke off due to neglect and needs to grow back, it going to happen regardless. It's natural to see a bunch of shed hair especially if you have long, healthy and thick hair like yours.

I actually love your hair fall 'art.' It's fun, no matter what anyone says. I have a TubShroom brand drain blocker, if you're looking for a tool to keep hair out of the drain.

Been following your channel a while now love your content. Quick question. When u do the hair growth challenge for say 4-6months at a time, how often do u remoisturize and when u do, do u take each braid down, moisturize detangle then rebraid? I want to try this method for the latter half part of 2021. Much thanks!

I know your asking her lol but whenever i do twist outs i'd saying every 2 weeks is when i remoisturize but i also cover my head with a satin bonnet so it doesn't dry out faster. It may differ for everyone because some hair takes in moisture easier then others.

Yes, I take every braid down and re-moisturize them every 2-3 weeks. But I’d recommend moisturizing your hair wherever you need to, or when your hair feels dry.

When was the last time washed? For me that would be a ton of hair loss but I do not have your density. Shae Moisture Manuka is one of my faves for conditioners.

I wore wigs all last fall and kept my hair braided thru Sep-Dec (Ik that’s a long time) but I wanted to see how long it would get. Everytime I take my wig off I would grease my scalp with only coconut oil and castor oil and when I finally washed it the thickness and length😮‍💨

I have an extremely random (and might come off as weird) question. In your opinion, do you think it's okay to use the same bowls used to mix up ingredients for hair (i.e., DIY, store bought conditioners, etc.) to make DIYs for your face? The reason for my very odd question is because I and a relative disagree on this topic. I have told her that the bowls she uses to mix hair products should only be reserved for that and nothing else. My relative believes that as long as you wash out the bowls with soap and water, then it's fine. I guess it would acceptable if it was only 100% natural items she was using in those bowls, but that's not the case. Since I have sensitive skin, I would rather be safe than sorry.
What are your thoughts on this? Would greatly appreciate it!

I personally avoid mixing the tools I use to create treatments with and the tools I use to cook with. I have specific, bottles, spoons, and bowls dedicated to when I want to make a treatment for my hair; sometimes, I use disposable spoons/bowls to make my treatments.
