Thanks, was looking for the name of this song. Its so iconic, i would even set it as a ringtone or an alarm clock. As for driving- would use it all the time!!
@@vexshoemaker3941 great thanks for telling us like we really care what you think. And your wack and just as annoying.go figure your name is vex i rest me case .
this is the very video that inspired me to be a skater and now going on 16 plus years strong I still watch it with awe and amazement a lot of these tricks are still pretty tough to do even by today's standards
I never noticed this before, the cameraman skills at 3:16 - the guy pushes away, then jumps down the stairs onto another board to catch Kostons kick flip and bs 180 kick flip. All while keeping him in perfect shot.
When I was a kid koston was the only thai skater I knew and really still know of. Being thai myself and not a lot of other thai people anywhere where I grew up I looked up to him so much
I'm so surprised that there is not over a million views.. kids don't understand the roots now a days.. this is when it all started going down... Will never be forgotten! I just learned something from watching him.. I got to point my elbows past my spine to get that heel in there!!! thank you koston!! I know I might say shit on the berrics site.. but it's not in a bad way.. I want to see you all skate.. regardless if it's a kickflip or 5050.. and to Frenchred.. thank you for capturing all those raw moments. skate live n die.
My girlfriend is Thai. 😁 I went to Bangkok for 3 times now but i did not find alot of skatespots when i was there, howeve you can find a skateshop at Esplanade shopping mall and behind the shop is a indoor skatepark, i thought that was pretty cool. I also saw Eric last week here in Amsterdam, but it was so busy that i did not have the time to meet him and shake his hand or something. I gotta say that he is pretty short, just like alot of Thai people, and if i ever get a son with my girl i want him to be a skater. ✌🏼 Eric you are one of my favorite skaters, and even though you did not do much in Amsterdam last week i think that you did not have to do anything to prove yourself anyway, you are one of the top! I hope you enjoy life with your kids and it's awesome to see you still skating from time to time. You must have been trough alot of hard decisions also, and i know how much that sucks! I hate making decisions in life, i hope to meet you someday.
I knew he was special when i spotted him in the H Street vids in early 90s. Then in vids like 101 falling down, it confirmed it. Effortless and high level control.
The best part from one of the best skate videos of all time A close 2nd is his part from Yeah Right! OK the composition and lay out of his part in this video beats out yeah right but some of the tricks He lays down in year right especially his Ender Are a lot better IMO But the rest of the video including the touring section are incredible jaws wide open type of footage incredible music as well that's one of the things This Video has over most
i am cornelia... is whats being said i think, this cemented koston being on top when this debut edit: Actually between koston, kirchart, im not sure who was the top dawg 2000- 01, but i do know reynolds was coming for them both
I don`t want to see you. You use google before trying to correct the director of the video himself - French Fred. I think he knows.the vid came out in 2000, dvd in 2002. dude.
***** The video did come out in 2000 for sure. Maybe a dvd with bonuses came out later yes... But original release is 2000 for sure. Flip' s "Sorry" came out in 2002. Then Cliché's "Bon Appétit" in 2003.
Jumbo M Yeah sorry to the Thai people... We put subtitles in the native language of all skaters in "Menikmati".... but we had no one to help creating the proper Thai subtitles, so I set up my keyboard to type thai characters.... although it is totally random letters and don't mean nothing, on the keyboard I did type the real text of what Koston talked about.... although it was all non-sense, visually it looked cool and helped immersing more inside the thai atmosphere... sorry for this little trick!
Pressure Drop - Theme for the Outcaste
thumbs up so people can see the name of the song!!
Who really cares? Is this a song that you would randomly play in your car, driving around? I think not...
Vex Shoemaker is such a cool guy.
Gabriel Coloma
Yeah,
I’m pretty much a hip dude.
Wack shit makes me annoyed...

I haven't seen this in 20 years and I still remember it so well..definitely one of the best skate videos ever imo
I love the way the landings match the beat of the music...
RyteNau I was super stoked when I was editing to see that it was working that well on Koston's song!!!!

this is the very video that inspired me to be a skater and now going on 16 plus years strong I still watch it with awe and amazement a lot of these tricks are still pretty tough to do even by today's standards
Yeah Right did it for me, that’s why Koston is the 👑
2024 and still feels goosebumps every time i remember this video part
Grande Koston! ❤
This part introduced the world to editing the pops and landings to the beat properly.
I never noticed this before, the cameraman skills at 3:16 - the guy pushes away, then jumps down the stairs onto another board to catch Kostons kick flip and bs 180 kick flip. All while keeping him in perfect shot.
Yeah, wow. That's some dedication right there. I remember gettin creative like that for some shots of my friends when we were skating.
Koston's natural stance is goofy, to put into perspective how insane some of these lines are.
to put Santa Claus into perspective, he visits good boys and girls on December 25th (the supposed birthday of Christ).
When I was a kid koston was the only thai skater I knew and really still know of. Being thai myself and not a lot of other thai people anywhere where I grew up I looked up to him so much
Saw the Wilshire rail today just to take a walk down memory lane. That nollie heel n/s is unbelievable. Quite possibly the best part ever made.
That's cool. We went back so many nights to get that trick! Merci for your cool words!

I meant FrenchFred fuckers haha excuse me.
Still my favorite part of all time and a quick reminder why Koston is the best.
I miss seeing new Koston parts, this was so insane in 2000. No one still will just do a switch Backside flip over a handrail perfectly in a run
Still holds up
I wish I would’ve taken care of my k2 and k3 shoes 💔
I know Eric has always been amazing, but I feel like around this time was when everyone started to notice him and he became a household name...
This was the part that set it in stone that hes one of the greatest of all time
One of the best parts of all time.
First skatevideo I ever seen. Man still hypes me up after 10 years of not seeing it.
everytime i want to watch this (or any menikmati part) i come here since it's the best quality out on the tube, others are crap, thanks Fred
in malaysia, menikmati means enjoying
My very first skate video I ever bought....on VHS...and Eric Koston is my favorite skater of all time.

The legend Éric Koston (legendary mixtapes)
I love that little “ohm” sound that was used in this and girls yeah right video
I knew he was special when i spotted him in the H Street vids in early 90s. Then in vids like 101 falling down, it confirmed it. Effortless and high level control.
The ending montage is insane considering the age of the video.
Still dope.
peak frost. thanks for posting.
man i love your vids
I love watching slow-mo skating
5:55 still holds up. Steezy and tech…with the shoes too. Over 20 years later.

Fucking Crist Fred you two killled it loved the switch heel madness towards the end
Happy Birthday Frosty!
Legend
The subtitles are just random Thai alphabets randomly put together 😂
These tricks at the time was way ahead of its time even though it seems so simple to these kid skater nowadays
His Nollies look so effortless,Clean
That switch backside at 5:23 is still insane today.
I love how the music slows down for the switch heel at 6:17
I have this on VHS!
Pressure Drop - Theme for the Outcaste
The reason why i started skating nollie

probably the koston 3's since those are always the ones people seem to bring up...lol
that switch backside flip made me shit a brick
What shoes was he wearing? the ones with the tripe down the heel and they kinda looked like running shoes.
back when Koston actually skated for a core skate shoe company
I miss my Koston 2's.
Fred with the frangles
so, how did this do bad :why:
This dude is almost as good as I am.
Menikmati came out in 2002, Fred...
no, it did not. do you know who Fred is?
Use Google and then come see me.
I don`t want to see you. You use google before trying to correct the director of the video himself - French Fred. I think he knows.the vid came out in 2000, dvd in 2002. dude.
Never heard that. I only remember hearing about it 01/02 and then when I looked it up kinda said the same thing. Guess I was wrong.

KOSTON 3:16
@ThePROgamerOnPC malay/Indonesian for enjoy
what does Menikmati means?
Is this song a Tenchi Muyo intro theme remix? Sound very similar.
Track is Pressure Drop Presents Noble Savages : Theme From The Outcaste
fucking quality !!!
That nollie heel 😍
there was Zero nollie heels in this part buddy...
Maxim actually has some nollie heels buddy. And I was talking about that nollie heel noseslide at the handrail
Danilo Soares
There is a nollie heel noseblunt on a table and a nollie heel noseslide on a handrail...
Where is the nollie heel? Time stamp?
Danilo Soares
Nollie heel and Nollie heel noseslide are 2 different tricks “buddy”
Maxim I could answer but I gonna do some nollie heels ♻️✌🏽
What's this fucking song?! I listen this since ten years!!
Anthony Pappalardo said this video sucks :D
why did he leave girl for wknd 😫
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I think he actually left Girl to make Numbers which is collaboration of him and Guy Mariano, nothing to to with WKND ;)
was the intro music taken from zelda?
@Ihasangerissues no its not . its at "le dome" in paris but its really huge and very hard to skate ...
why is it just random thai letters at the beginning?
Jumbo M Yeah sorry to the Thai people... We put subtitles in the native language of all skaters in "Menikmati".... but we had no one to help creating the proper Thai subtitles, so I set up my keyboard to type thai characters.... although it is totally random letters and don't mean nothing, on the keyboard I did type the real text of what Koston talked about.... although it was all non-sense, visually it looked cool and helped immersing more inside the thai atmosphere... sorry for this little trick!
+Frenchfred Koston couldn't get his mom?
Frenchfred Hahaha that's crafty, fair enough
Frenchfred lmao, that is actually pretty funny, i wonder what my girl think of it. (She is Thai) i also wonder if Eric can speak Thai?
hahahaha the subtitles are just thai alphabets randomly put together, didn't make any sense.
