What’s crazy is that most of the tricks in this were ahead of times for this era in skating and could be still used in today’s videos. I mean cmon he busted a fat switch tre up a 3 or 4 stair can’t quite remember.
I listened to Gangstarr and jazzamatazz non of my friends did.. this was in like 94.. fast forward to 2002 they all were thinking they discovered this rap prodigy lol
Just unbelievable. This shit is 23 years old! C'mon, 23 years old, think about it. Most of the people checking this were still probably smearing their diapers when this guy was popping lines of 5-6-7 tricks non stop, switch, nollie, fakie, it didn't matter. This was the beginning of a prime Koston who then left his unique imprints in skateboarding forever. Really, most of these lines and tricks could still easily make it in a part today without any shame. A lot went on during that time, with these Plan B / Girl /Chocolate guys, they really sculpted what skateboarding is today.
Stop, you're making us all feel so old! I still fondly remember this stuff like yesterday. For real though, Koston and gang were ahead of the times. For me this segment was a regular stoke out to get pumped and go skating.
what is called old and new school skating... as you point out this is 23 years old. animal Chin was like 29 years old. tre flips aren't that much newer than bonelesses
Don't forget 101 Skateboards. That was Koston's board sponsor prior to joining Girl Skateboards. Along with a few other riders who would join Girl and Chocolate Skateboards. Referring to the Batas Documentary from On Video Skateboarding.
First part I ever saw. I remember getting my mom to buy me a yellow t shirt and blue jeans so I could look like him. The t shirt was Nike and everyone called me a poser.
@@srarcade haha I've never heard them called that, too funny! I wasn't quite skating at this time, didn't start learning tricks until 97 or 98 but my first set of hand me downs were bearing condom" spitfire volcano's. Paired with my hand me down hookups deck and b-52 trucks, man I miss the 90s Era of skating. I was looking for the 411 vm best of video that was my first skate video I watched but I can't remember which one it was. The vhs was actually blue if I remember right.
@@srarcade aye thanks for the reply. I thought it was that one but I wasn't sure. Not an easy one to find. Found it on another website but their video player sucks.
both hilarious and absurd that this was 93. Koston is one of the kings
i watch this video from time to time. 93 to infinity!
One of my all time favorite parts, koston forever.
This part would be insane if it dropped tomorrow..
he was so advanced back then
This is better than his Goldfish part which came out a year later.
This part and H Street Next Generation are so good

I’m usually a big fan of Gangstarr but this has to be their most boring song... love the skating though!
That's crazy talk! This is my favorite Gangstarr track by a mile.
Lust for Low-End WHAT??!!!! This is one of my favorites off Daily Operation!! I wouldn’t consider anything from GangStarr or Guru boring FOH!
