Volcanic Debris Flows Along Riverbed Amid St Vincent Eruptions

- Local St Vincent resident Kirk Morris captured drone footage that shows ash-covered rooftops as well as volcanic material flowing along a riverbed on the island on Monday, April 12, amid eruption activity of the Soufriere volcano, officials said.
After the drone glides over the ash-covered residential area, the video shows the Rabacca Dry River in Georgetown churning with a mixture of debris, pyroclastic material, mud, and water - or “lahar” as it’s known.
Morris told Storyful locals typically mine the dry river for building materials.
The National Emergency Management Organisation of St Vincent and the Grenadines urged residents not to gather near the river to view the pyroclastic flows, saying it was “extremely dangerous.”

@@MikeySlou lol sir/madame, there are plenty of drones on island. The people of St. Vincent and The Grenadines don’t live under a rock. And their population is roughly 110k
I'm actually amazed that the drone was not phased once by the ash in capturing this footage. People can't even send a helicopter into the region for emergency purposes because the ash can clog the engines.

Ashes everywhere i live in the Green zone and it hit me bad I was watching the movie pompeii never know our volcano was going to do the same thing
I reside in Central Kingstown and I'm sure a lot of persons didn't know ash was upon us till the Saturday morning. I found out the same Friday when I went outside in dark of the night and the strong sulphur hit me right in the face...
Well I hope you can take care of your health with all that ash and aerosols in the air.
Hope you can leave to get some fresh air or special masks like N95s or something.
Definitely use masks if you can get them--the ash is really bad for your lungs. If you have a car, pantyhose (women's sheer stockings) can be used to help the car's filter to screen out ash particles so they don't ruin the engine. I hope everyone there will be safe!

That's on the East (Atlantic )course heading further NE to other villages where the indigenous people dwells-road access right now is a no no as Pyroclastic volcanic flows disrupt free movement
Royal Caribbean Cruise line was in the waters to take evacuees to other islands, but movements was hindred by the government who tried too implement mandatory vaccines for persons before boarding, so a lot of them refused the vaccine, fearing its a rushed vaccine

Agreed. This ash is extremely rich material. Free cement. The roads are so terrible in the local areas. Have to find ways to reuse the ash to fix brick homes and streets.

Why would anyone put off the most important decision they could ever make in their lives concerning eternal life? If you die today are you going to heaven? This is how to be saved, it is simply child like, as simple as ABC:
A - Admit that you are a sinner. B - Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Jesus from the dead. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was.
Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
C - Call upon the name of the Lord. Every single person who ever lived since Adam will bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Lord of lords and the King of kings.
Romans 14:11 For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God." Don't wait until later, do this now. It probably is from a lahar or super heated mud flow. Whether it is S02 or not I don't know. I would think S02 would be found in high concentrations near the eruption site. I do know that is it corrosive to metals and also to our lungs. In high enough concentrations, it can corrode the metal structures inside a house--parts of the frame, fixtures, wiring.
@@tthappyrock368 I'm not a chemist but I read on another site that the So2 combines with water to form So3, which is acidic and toxic, and then also to form H2So4, so I'm sure you're right.

Like a Ghost town. Almost 20,00 people had to evacuate to safer grounds.
Mostly only people living there now are the ones that they wouldn’t allow on the boats because they are unclean or something.
