i could listen to the elderly lady on her veranda all day, lovely voice.
God bless you all.. Praying for your safety,...
I am a Barbadian who was 9 years old when this volcano erupted. I remember it like yesterday....hearing my older relatives talk about something hitting them in the face outside and I went outside and felt the small particles beating against my face in the way their described it. I remember being afraid to sleep in fear of an earth quake triggering a tidal wave as it was explained then. Today I know it’s a tsunami. We heard that the volcano in st vincent had erupted. That ash was heaped in our patio the next morning. That volcanic ash reached us in barbados. That’s just amazing. Think rumor has it it helped our crops that year to flourish. 👍🏾
I heard the ash from the recent volcano reached Barbados. How are you guys doing now?
Whoever watching in 2021 will know this same volcano now erupting.

Wow another April eruption
That’s what I said wow
That’s what caught my eye ... Good Friday 1979
Just wow
I experienced the 1979 eruption first hand because I lived in Richland Park. I have since moved to the USA but still have many relatives there. I pray for everyone's safety
I was a deck watch officer on the USCGC Dallas (WHEC-716) deployed to assist at the 1979 eruption. The Dallas was just offshore standing by to assist as necessary as the eruption occurred. Unforgettable!
Thank you for your service
@@fidelindigenousbrother6612 you are welcome. Glad you are well.
Sir thank you for your service
Thank you for helping our neighbors, God bless you.
I’m here because I wanted to hear what happened in 1979
The legacy of my maternal great-grandfather, George Edwards-affectionately known as Brother Eddie, who was born in 1874 or 1875 in St. Vincent-is profound. Brother Eddie heroically saved many lives with his fishing boat during the 1902 eruption of La Soufrière Volcano. He generously donated land for the Save Soul Gospel Hall Church and contributed to the founding of the Campden Park Agricultural and Experimental Station.
A versatile man, he was a farmer, fisherman, herbalist, massage therapist, and preacher. People from various parts of St. Vincent and neighboring islands sought Brother Eddie for medical assistance. He successfully treated and cured individuals whom medical doctors could not. His aid extended to the residents of Wallilabou as well.
Following the eruption, at least 68 Wallilabou families found new homes in Campden Park, with others settling in Claire Valley, where Brother Eddie's relatives lived. He was responsible for planting the coconut palms in Lowmans' Bay and worked as an operator and driver of diggers during the Panama Canal's construction.
Brother Eddie was a true all-rounder. His death in 1960 brought people from across St. Vincent and beyond to his funeral, marking the largest gathering ever seen in Campden Park for such an event.
Wow very amazing .am from Clare valley ,and am still living in Clare valley .I was about 4 yrs old when the volcano erupted in 1979
Its december 31, 2020. Soufriere is acting up again ....
In 1979, my father Eardlie Allen ( Born in Colonarie, SVG but living and working in the island of Curaçao for over 35 years at the time) organized cargo with clothes and food with the Curaçao Red Cross and joined the Red Cross in a flight to Sint Vincent.
The Curaçao community ( with a few thousand SVG born countrymen) helped fantastic.
My dad has passed away 12 years ago ( 2008) but if he were alive, he would have done his best to help again considering the rumble the vulcano is producing now in the last days of 2020 - Michael Allen from the island of Curaçao
Thank you so for all the help you give to my lovely country in the time of disaster sorry about your dad passing God bless you ❤🇨🇦🇻🇨
Amazing! I was born in 1981 so I definitely missed it. Thanks for sharing the story. Peace and love.😊
You are lucky
My mother was 6 years old when that happened
I was alive but barely. I was in the womb until december

My mother returned to St.Vincent bringing me along as an 11 year old from London. Never seen anything like it before. Scared the bejesus out of me. An experience never to forget. RIP Vincent Beache.
Flew over it huh? It's a sight to behold. My mom was 14 in 1971 when it erupted before the big one in 1979. Which village is your mom from?
Is erupting again as we speak now
Agreed very soothing
Praying all is OK ... Husband family are from here and we so wanted to have one visit 🙏🏾 and visit the family
April 8 2021 evacuations have been ordered. It is about to blow again
It's erupting at this very moment in time 29th december 2020, 9:00 p.m..
No it's not, there was some activities.
@@fidelindigenousbrother6612 it’s actually labeled an eruption tho
@Maria Dowler It is. It's called an effusive eruption. Its not a violent eruption like what people think. Its just lava flowing onto the surface which is causing a new dome.
Everything is going to be fine.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Bajans love a lot of praying , so we,re all here praying for each and everyone of you in st vincent and the granadines 🕆

Too anecdotal and disjointed. Not enough footage of the actual event albeit a long time ago.
Most Hollywood females movie,TV and music star and superstars was both male and not female
