Brad was recovering from dual surgeries last season and you could see he was a half step slower. At 35 it seems it will be even more difficult to recover. I hope he’s getting healthy and can still produce quality scoring chances?
Agreed - he was a half-step slower last season, but still effective. I noticed he had his greatest energy and most of his shorthanded goals at the beginning of games. Then his salsa slowed down. That is serious surgery - essentially having the middle of your body taken apart and put back together. But I'd like to see who dare keep this lil rat down! I think the season after he retires they're going to change the locks on the locker room because he'll still show up!
McAvoy needs to get his Norris. I joke about the Vezina- aka "the puck stops here" award The Norris I call: "The Puck Stops Here, or you do! " Award Although Tim Thomas could've earned either... Found out he was sort of playing with an injured knee just about when he came to Boston. During off-season, he needed to rehab that same knee. Finally had surgery summer 2022. He explained in a locker room interview last season, that summer 2023 was the first time he'd actually been able to train hard off season because of this nagging knee injury. That's why he exploded Looove third line centers - these guys need to take on anybody, everybody - very unpredictable opponents from Alex Ovechkin down to the newbie proving himself on their first NHL ice. 3C's need to be playmakers because they don't have playmakers on their left and right as the top lines do. So Charlie can only do better on the second line this season. Remember That season before we traded Smith - 11, 12, 13 was the most consistent line we had... Got tired of other Bruins trashing him the last few seasons -I remember when he came in from the Wild. Bruins weren't doing well and he was the spark we needed to get to playoffs. Seriously humble guy - you can catch his recent hour long interview on one of those other guys shows if you search "Charlie Coyle" in the past week Great update! They're wearing black & gold, sliding on ice! I'll take it. Marchand is like our son that finally grew up! Thank you Katrina! (His wife) 😆
@@bruinsdiehards hey... Question on another topic. Ottawa has been through a shake up. Brought in Ullmark, Perron, Cousins, Jensen & more. A quiet re-tool, not really a rebuild with veterans. Do you think they're the team to watch in the East? Can Brady lead them to the dance? I don't know their new coach Trevor Green. That's going to be an interesting team to watch - we know Linus is capable of stealing games. Racking up OTL points absolutely counts in this new league- as Bruins fans know. (It would have blown my mind that a team with 15 overtime points wins a Stanley Cup!) For how long can Linus hold up? Who's backing him up? He's known for mid to late - season injury. That'll be the question. What do you think of ottawa's shake up - they look very different this season from top to bottom.
brads had a great career! I do know from personal exp that ball and socket joints on athletes are very tricky areas once they go bad. I wanna thank him for over a decade of smiles and pissing off leafs fans!
@@bruinsdiehards Id also like to point out its prob really hard for the average hockey fan to realize the prep hockey players go through, now be the teams top 3 guy and have younger players who look to you for leadership both on and off the ice, Its gotta be a grind after awhile.
@@bruinsdiehards when i think about the amount of training, prep and hardcore competition these athletes got through its no wonder the body has its limits.
Marchy is a freak. I remember when he returned from double hip surgery and I was skeptical. Thinking his skill game would decline. Boy was I wrong. He played great start to finish. That said. Let's not rush him. 82 game season and we need him for the run.
This is a great Bruins show.
Thank you very much
I don’t think contract talks should be public. But it is good to see marchy has matured in to a great leader.
I’m so impressed with his maturity over the years and you’re right he is a great leader
Short and informative, the way it should be. Don't need 9 -10 minutes for "no movement on a contract".👍
Appreciate it
Excellent video brother! Thanks ‼️🚨⚫🟡⚫🐻
Thank you very much

Yeah I truly doubt he will be ready for the start of the season

So, in your experience, how long does he have?
@@bruinsdiehards Honestly? How much can his frame handle after years of grinding? Only brad really knows.

Yeah, my dad's body is beat up pretty badly, and I don't think I know one former player who doesn't have knee or hip issues.

He’ll be ready but it wouldn’t surprise me if Monty limits his ice time the first few games just to be safe.
