@@bruinsdiehardsyou wouldn't think any team might hire him. But I firmly believe by their own interviews, that have gotten more intense, serious the last few years... there's some Bruins like marchand, Pasta McAvoy, Brando ..who are absolutely fed the hell up. And that's what Babcock could likely do if the players are coachable But I agree that it likely won't happen because they don't want the lightning bolt in their locker room. It's certainly not my place to critique a triple gold coach. This is a unique situation that might call for a creative, blow your mind response! This is my version of "fantasy hockey"
I've come back to this video. I recall Quenville coming up during the search that found Jim Montgomery may be a lightening bolt between players, & for the media if it doesn't go well. So I figured his name has gone through the recycle bin Woodcroft? I don't see the logic is recently being fired for the same type of start to a season but I don't know the guy Gallant is interesting. Hungry for a cup. Looking at their recent bios , stats as coaches and player- I favor Galant I never took Quenneville seriously. We were still coming off the Mitch Miller stuff. And it confounded me that we wouldn't give that kid a second chance, although an older black judge out of the civil rights movement and a black sports agent wanted to give him a shot.... I didn't understand how B's would gamble on someone like Jim Montgomery with the issues he's had So giving second chances seems to be a funny situation for someone like Quenville on the Bruins Galant make sense. He couldn't get his cup with vegas, so we'll switch coaches to get ours! We need a French Canadian coach. I officially know nothing!
@bruinsdiehards The Hockey writers are suggesting that the Detroit Red wings might be looking at hiring Jim Montgomery. 🤔 Oh no! Hey, no wi-fi out here. need to rearrange data & devices. looking at USA's "Black Friday" deals I'll get over to Discord more within a couple weeks. Then I'll start trouble over there. Lol
@@bruinsdiehards wait.. I got the source wrong. It's "the hockey news" not "hockey writers"... they put out an article And when I just tried to bring it back up again, they've got another article talking about whether Montreal might pick up a coach like Jim Montgomery. So they're just milking the story. I'm suspicious that Jim Montgomery may have a coaching record beyond his true accomplishments. Not sure. Not looking to insult the guy but his record is pretty up there with elite coaches and I'm not sure whether he's earned it. I don't mean to spread rumors - I figured you would know where to file that. I know little to nothing about Red wings these days.
@@bruinsdiehards The prospect pool is last in the league because he traded away draft picks for players who can't protect the skills players and his free agent signings lack the drive it takes to win a Stanley Cup. His handling of the Swayman signing was a distraction that's having a hangover effect on the regular season. The team looks slow in transition and disorganized on scoring chances. The 2015 draft was a bust. The 2016 draft is aging and no players from the 2020 draft have played an NHL game.
Bruce Cassidy built a Stanley Cup contender. He was fired because they said he was too hard on the young players. So Cassidy goes to Vegas and wins the Stanley Cup. In the meantime, Montgomery couldn’t get to the Stanley Cup playoffs and win not in year one not in year two and it’s not gonna happen in year three. they were up three games to one against the cats and blew it in a game seven at home. Monty shuffled the lines constantly in the middle of the game. Sorry that is not going to work. And it is not working now. Put the lines together and let them play to get some consistency. Yelling at Marchand in front of, the world and benching pasta in front of the world is bullshit. These are grown men they know when they fuck up. You don’t have to make it a glaring bullshit ego coach asshole move…not starting Swayman first game of the season that was total garbage. The players are all saying the right things in front of the media, but I guarantee when they are out drinking a beer they are not happy with Monty. Fire him
Hey, Cassidy did DeBrusk dirty, a really low blow. That's what triggered the trade request in the first place. But that wasn't the only reason he was let go. His treatment of young players overall was a huge factor. Even Krejci had enough and wouldn't re-sign until Cassidy was gone. Cassidy is a hard ass task master. Great hockey mind and tactician. But his harsh treatment of players is what finally did him in. Sweeney wanted to keep him, Neely said no. The team leaders were asked and they agreed it was time for a change. Had Bergeron, Marchand and Pasta supported Cassidy he would have stayed. I know you are no fan of DeBrusk, but you gotta admit, the team could sure use him on the penalty kill right now. Say what you want, he was excellent on the PK.
What did he do exactly that was so dirty? Also Krejci was going to resign no matter what, that isn’t true that he wouldn’t. Krejci almost came back the previous season but they couldn’t move him through waivers. Two players complained about Cassidy and one was Debrusk. Neely never got along with Cassidy and got his way. Bruce got the last laugh with a cup. Pasta literary had Bruce at his wedding this summer. I happen to know what happened but it is what it is
@@bruinsdiehards It was more than two. If it were only two players complaining, with his fantastic record there's no way he get's let go. As for DeBrusk, let's just say there was an ill timed healthy scratch that was unexpected under the circumstances and very embarrassing. Ask Bruce if you get a chance, get his side. You are right, he did get the last laugh with the cup. But in my humble opinion, he was getting the cup either way because I firmly believe he would have taken that Bruins team all the way had he stayed. Monty made mistakes Cassidy wouldn't have.

Cam has been pretty awful in his role for a good number of years, but since so many Bruins still hold him in high regard from his time as a player, the backlash of firing might be very severe (even though letting him go is absolutely warranted).
1000% agree
That or cam can get on his knees and beg Bruce to comeback ........ Just a thought 🧐
Yeah Butch wouldn’t come back with Cam still here
@@bruinsdiehards very true He did Bruce dirty
@@joshuarodriguez9896 yes he did but Bruce got a cup so he did ok
@@bruinsdiehards yeah he did he's the only reason why I have somewhat respect for the knights
I think they need a coaching change
Why is that?
@bruinsdiehards well for one Marchand doesn't get along with him
@@richardzink6026 we don’t know that
Babcock. That might hep.
I doubt any team hires him
@@bruinsdiehardsyou wouldn't think any team might hire him.
But I firmly believe by their own interviews, that have gotten more intense, serious the last few years... there's some Bruins like marchand, Pasta McAvoy, Brando ..who are absolutely fed the hell up.
Take our phones, go up our arses, in our ears - don't care what you do..... Bring us the 🤬 Stanley Cup!
And that's what Babcock could likely do if the players are coachable
But I agree that it likely won't happen because they don't want the lightning bolt in their locker room.
I don't have a problem with what Babcock did. He could have done it better but he wasn't trying to meet their wives!
He's trying to make his team better. It's certainly not my place to critique a triple gold coach.
This is a unique situation that might call for a creative, blow your mind response!
This is my version of "fantasy hockey"
If he’s fired….?
…..he gets x number of paychecks for how long?
Where do I sign up for this kind of abuse?
If they fire him they still pay him until the end of the year what they owe him. Coaches contracts aren’t public
I've come back to this video. I recall Quenville coming up during the search that found Jim Montgomery
may be a lightening bolt between players, & for the media if it doesn't go well.
So I figured his name has gone through the recycle bin
Woodcroft? I don't see the logic is recently being fired for the same type of start to a season but I don't know the guy
Gallant is interesting.
Hungry for a cup.
Looking at their recent bios , stats as coaches and player-
I favor Galant
I never took Quenneville seriously. We were still coming off the Mitch Miller stuff.
And it confounded me that we wouldn't give that kid a second chance, although an older black judge out of the civil rights movement and a black sports agent wanted to give him a shot....
I didn't understand
how B's would gamble on someone like Jim Montgomery with the issues he's had
So giving second chances seems to be a funny situation for someone like Quenville on the Bruins
Galant make sense. He couldn't get his cup with vegas, so we'll switch coaches to get ours!
We need a French Canadian coach.
I officially know nothing!
Gallant I feel is a short fix as he doesn't last long places
@bruinsdiehards The Hockey writers are suggesting that the Detroit Red wings might be looking at hiring Jim Montgomery.
🤔
Oh no!
Hey, no wi-fi out here. need to rearrange data & devices. looking at USA's "Black Friday" deals
I'll get over to Discord more within a couple weeks.
Then I'll start trouble over there. Lol
@ has Lalonde (no relation) been fired yet?
@@bruinsdiehards wait.. I got the source wrong. It's "the hockey news" not "hockey writers"... they put out an article
And when I just tried to bring it back up again, they've got another article talking about whether Montreal might pick up a coach like Jim Montgomery.
@ the hockey news is using Google Trends to decide the article
Woody can keep walking
Yeah he was on the list because of rumours but I’m not a fan of
The Bruins suck because of Don Sweeney, not Jim Montgomery. Fire Sweeney now!
What does he suck at?
@@bruinsdiehards The prospect pool is last in the league because he traded away draft picks for players who can't protect the skills players and his free agent signings lack the drive it takes to win a Stanley Cup. His handling of the Swayman signing was a distraction that's having a hangover effect on the regular season. The team looks slow in transition and disorganized on scoring chances. The 2015 draft was a bust. The 2016 draft is aging and no players from the 2020 draft have played an NHL game.
Hire Marc Savard
He is in Toronto
Hot take, I actually really like monty
I also enjoy coaches who think that changing lines every other shift is a strategy
You like what you like
Bruce Cassidy built a Stanley Cup contender. Fire him
You could be right
MOnty needs a drink
Or a big fatty to open up his mind on some new ideas
Yeah I don’t think so
No reason to go low like that.
@@grantyoung5920 agreed
@ I will agree there that Butch would have not been out coached like Monty was. Bruce never got out coached in Boston. Listen I’m going to stay out of this one with Butch because I have said too much to be honest.
@@bruinsdiehards Fair enough. I didn't want to get in the weeds either. Let's just agree we both like Bruce and that he's an excellent coach. :)
