I found Zatch Bell through the manga like 6 months ago, finished it in like 2 weeks, I felt so alone with how few people knew about it. Great to see coverage of one of my favorite series.
My only real complaint about Gash Bell was for the final 10. Both Zofis and Zeno were teased early in the show, so it built up excitement for their eventual arcs. Zofis and Zeno weren't the only characters that were introduced early and brought back later. They did that for a large amount of allies, rivals, and antagonists that weren't just one off characters. So when we get to the final 10 and get introduced to a dragon, the predator, and whatever the final antagonist was supposed to be, they all felt shoe horned in at the last second. An otherwise small gripe to a series I enjoyed reading.
Tbf, the dragon was hinted at a couple times prior as one of the few on brago's level, so he didn't come from nowhere. And part of Clear's threat was the fact he was unknown prior. As for the bug kid, he wasn't that strong (I mean, he's not weak, but zatch, brago, or the dragon could easily take him), his teleport ability was just convenient for clear and he kept him around for that. I can get why they might feel shoehorned in since we don't spend much time with them, but honestly it was done so well that I can't find it in myself to mind.
This is just my own opinion, but i think the video would flow better if you put the characters part first before the summary. Either way, great job man! Zatch Bell definitely had a special nostalgia spot in my heart

Remember this from when I was a kid. I would love to re-watch the series but it's almost impossible to find any of the episodes online even with streaming services. And I can't find any of the DVDs however the ones I can find are exceptionally expensive Short of giving my computer a virus it seems to be very difficult to participate in this series nowadays. But it was a really awesome series back in the day it's a shame that it's no longer easily accessible.
I enjoyed the hell out of this show that I eventually finished the entire series with the sub. I also remember it's censorship being memed like hell because they change guns to laser guns. "Remember kids, guns that shoot bullets are bad, but guns that shoot flesh melting lasers are A-OK!"
I read the manga over a year ago, when I heard that the manga was coming back to continue the series. It's interesting seeing how these characters have changed since the start of the series. I don't know many manga where the series ended but get a continuation years later. Though I doubt we will see it here in America, like a lot of the other continuation series.
I remember There was a weird part in the manga where they kinda stopped trying to learn new spells through experience and a character just reached inside their heads and unlocked everything
It’s not like we forgot about it. At those times streams didn’t exist and we all had to play outside and grow up plus school. I miss this anime though.
I have not seen the whole video but, be sure to read the manga everyone! The anime drifts away from it and there are some really awesome parts that do not get adapted. ALSO there is a sequel RIGHT NOW called Zatch Bell 2!
So godamn weird, completely forgot ever watching this, remember nothing about it, but I swear some of these designs and concepts have been locked in the back of my head since childhood
Fun fact in the Japanese version of Zatch bell there called demons and the reason the manga got cut short of 25 volumes in the us was because raikou the author sued viz media for losing a bunch of his art work
Man this being one of my all time favorite anime/Manga the name pronunciation was a bit painful to hear. But good video none the less. Sad it never completed the Manga or I'd own all 33. Hopefully zatch bell 2 the Manga gets English books here in the US. For anyone trying to get into the series 100% recommend reading the Manga first since the anime didn't get a proper ending

One of the best, slept on
Super underappreciated
now i know why when i first watched the fate series the whole servant system seemed somewhat familiar to me
given zatch bell is pretty different but the basic idea is still there
i watched some episodes of this as a kid and plan to rewatch it again soon due to the fact i never saw enough of it to know about the show.
Zatch was lit! Def love the fate series too
Good morning/ afternoon Guardian
Morning!
Love this anime. Definitely deserves more love
Shoulda been way bigger than it was
I have such foundational memories watching this with my older brothers. Totally forgot it's name until now.
That's dope man. This show was a banger
@@KingKasper on God, thank you for reminding me of this mang
A sequel is currently running called Zatch Bell 2 in manga form. Released earlier this year.
Ya I heard. Haven't peeped it yet tho
Cartoon Network really tried to get a lot of hype for this anime back in the day.
Facts! It was a banger
wow i have some memory of this, but vaguely remember watching this and that Zatchbell/Gashbell had an "anti" version of him, like a white one and i remember it being so cool!
im curious, will you do an uncompleted series like D. Gray man?
YO D GRAY MAN. That's on my list to do a video on. Series was lit as hell
@@KingKasper wow! i REALLY am looking forward to your video on that too then! also appreciate you still reply months after posting your video :3 keep up the awesome work !
Remember this from when I was a kid. I would love to re-watch the series but it's almost impossible to find any of the episodes online even with streaming services. And I can't find any of the DVDs however the ones I can find are exceptionally expensive
Short of giving my computer a virus it seems to be very difficult to participate in this series nowadays. But it was a really awesome series back in the day it's a shame that it's no longer easily accessible.
Dang that sucks bro! If I find a stream I'll share it with you! Hopefully this gets a well deserved reboot sometime soon
"While exploring a rain forest in England..." I didn't know it had those!
Must be that mamodo magic 😂
@@KingKasper you want collaborate on something? I have this idea for a Zatch bell tier list
I enjoyed the hell out of this show that I eventually finished the entire series with the sub. I also remember it's censorship being memed like hell because they change guns to laser guns. "Remember kids, guns that shoot bullets are bad, but guns that shoot flesh melting lasers are A-OK!"
HAHA ya that is odd
Isn’t this coming back soon? I loved watching this so much.
Part 2 manga is out now
It’s the misnaming Gash for me. Also why not just say demon instead of mamodo? They’re demons. They’re fighting to be the demon king.
Ya dubs always be changing shit
I read the manga over a year ago, when I heard that the manga was coming back to continue the series. It's interesting seeing how these characters have changed since the start of the series.
I don't know many manga where the series ended but get a continuation years later. Though I doubt we will see it here in America, like a lot of the other continuation series.
That's dope bro! Hopefully it does come back with an anime adaptation
I remember There was a weird part in the manga where they kinda stopped trying to learn new spells through experience and a character just reached inside their heads and unlocked everything
Yo dkm 🤣
Honestly i'm just here because I like hearing people talk about zatch bell.
Honestly I appreciate that
@@KingKasper Did you know Zatch bell has a sequel manga? it's pretty good
Where can I watch this now???? I've been looking for months!
Gogo anime?
It’s not like we forgot about it. At those times streams didn’t exist and we all had to play outside and grow up plus school. I miss this anime though.
Good point!
I have not seen the whole video but, be sure to read the manga everyone! The anime drifts away from it and there are some really awesome parts that do not get adapted. ALSO there is a sequel RIGHT NOW called Zatch Bell 2!
Yes everyone go peep zatch bell 2
I had one of those little books you could buy as a kid and i loved that show. So quirky and different from other shows I could find at the time.
Ya this vibe was so wholesome yet had tons of action!
I love Gash Bell, the manga ending is perfect
It's lit
This, shaman king, monster rancher and the one weird food fighting show are all sleeper bangers. So good and slept on
FIGHTING FOODONS. YO THAT SHIT WAS LIT. Also monster rancher is another insane throwback
can't wait for the next zatch bell
on gawd!
Did toonami ever finished dub version I remember watching it back I middle school faithfully then 1 day it was pulled off the air
No unfortunately they didn't!
I really want to complete the full story after zeon arc, can anyone recommend where can i watch it?
try go go anime
@@KingKasper bruh na
I already completed the 150 jp dubbed episode limit
Is there a place where I can complete the wole story of zatchbell?
@@veddutta2100 oh nah this is the only anime series
So godamn weird, completely forgot ever watching this, remember nothing about it, but I swear some of these designs and concepts have been locked in the back of my head since childhood
Facts! Those glowing spell books 📚 are burned into my memory
Nah amen specially the fucking spell books, like no idea how but engrained deep
Song in the background?
All songs by Lakey Inspired
Fun fact in the Japanese version of Zatch bell there called demons and the reason the manga got cut short of 25 volumes in the us was because raikou the author sued viz media for losing a bunch of his art work
That's insane!
Where could I watch this gem again
Maybe crunchy roll or anime kisa
For a few years I thought this was a fever dream. You can't find this anywhere online
🤣 ya this show was on some random shit
Holy f**king nostalgia. I completely forgot bout this gem till now
Show is a banger! Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
3:00 should've said he has amnesia at that point. memories erased is more of a plot twist
🤷🏽♂️
Best animation I have ever seen in my life is zatchbell
wild but its def a cool anime
Man this being one of my all time favorite anime/Manga the name pronunciation was a bit painful to hear. But good video none the less. Sad it never completed the Manga or I'd own all 33. Hopefully zatch bell 2 the Manga gets English books here in the US. For anyone trying to get into the series 100% recommend reading the Manga first since the anime didn't get a proper ending
Thanks for watching!
Holy shit I forgot about this show! I used to love this
Was a banger! Thanks for checking out the channel 🔥
They remastered every other shonen i want love for zatch bell
Let's start a petition
Kolulu, Kanchome and Kiddo’s end drove me to tears.
This anime had emotional moments!
I never saw the anime but i remember back then i was addicted to the fighting ps2 game for a time
Jeez PS2 was 🐐
one of my first anime and is one of my favorite anime
Same!!!
