I always thought it was odd that the movie forgets it’s a musical in the 2nd half. It goes from “Let It Go” then after “Fixer Upper” it’s no longer a musical but a dramatic movie. It’s like watching a Broadway Musical where the first half is all songs, then after intermission it’s just a standard play.
Fun fact: Elsa was supposed to be the villain of the movie originally, but due to let it go not fitting that tone they made a protagonist. This is why Hanns being the villain felt out of place.
My favorite part of Kingdom Hearts 3 was when Sora, Donald, and Goofy followed Elsa all the way up the mountain while she sang let it go for an unbroken 4 minutes, and they were so confused the entire time and then Elsa threw them off a mountain.
im so angry with that world like in kh2 i have to play that stupid minigame in atlantica but you cant put it in the middle of let it go so at least that world doesnt feel like a filler episode. And im 100% the final boss was elsa and not hans but disney just shut it down

Schaffrillas said it best that Frozen is to Disney what Despicable Me, mostly the Minions, is to Illumination. The oversaturation of this movie was INSANE to me as a high school senior at the time! Especially, when Once Upon a Time, a show on ABC, which is owned by Disney, started to give up creating their own interpretations of fairy tales and copy pasted Disney characters into their shows, starting in season 4 with Frozen. Ironically, I started watching OUAT going into season 4 because the show never reran the first season and I had no streaming services, got bored and left in season 5, came back for season 7 when I heard it was a clean slate with almost no reference to the rest of the show only for REAL fans of the show to hate the season. And since decided to rewatch the show from the beginning and then listen to the Once Upon a Timing podcast on the episode until after season 3 because I've been told by more than one fan to stop watching by then. I'm currently at the Frozen arc on the podcast right now and personally the podcast is even more entertaining!

Something that bothers me so much about this movie, is that for the time period that the movie takes place in, getting married to someone you just met should be normal.
True, but what isn’t normal is just jumping into an engagement with another royal without any sort of thought about the relationship between the kingdoms. Also, many kingdoms did indeed have courtship periods before marriage. This might be one such instance. Either way, Anna meeting Hans and immediately saying yes to his proposal an hour later wouldn’t have been acceptable to her family (had any of them but Elsa also been alive).
I know it’s popular among older audience members to hate Elsa as a character, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it because of how much I dislike her parents even more They do so many red flaggy parenting tactics, yet both movies expects us to feel sorry for them in the same league as the other dead Disney parents, even though they’re the entire reason Elsa is messed up the way she is I honestly think Frozen would’ve been better if the PARENTS were the twist antagonists somehow, if they wanted to forgo villain!Elsa that badly

I felt bad for Elsa until she hit Anna with the ice sickness after she spent the first half of the movie traveling to help her sister. And then she made a giant snow monster to throw Anna out of the castle and even attack her. Elsa is kind of a bitch imo

Can we talk about how the parents just take their daughter to a village of rock gnomes to help there daughter instead of bringing her to the hospital and giving her heating blankets and then gives their other daughter ptsd because she accidentally hurt her sister with her powers and not actually help elsa with her problems while they were still alive? IMHO King Candy wouldn't count as a pure twist villain anyway the way Hans is. KG is established to be a jerk in personality, but most of what he says seems like real concern and logic... just not for the reasons he ultimatly convinces Ralph. I think that actually helps WIR, since the more saavy viewer would just write him off as a fakeout early-plot bad guy and not the final threat.

Actually I seen a theory that made sense that the trolls actually hexed or put a spell on Hans to make him evil and to steer Anna away from him and go with Kristoff instead. What makes it even more crazy is that yes it'd make sense for Hans to want to marry into the crown being the youngest of 13 kids but he didn't start being evil at all until after the trolls sang their Fixer Upper song and hinted at rearranging the engagement between Anna and Hans. Plus they have magic to manipulate the mind, as you see in the beginning of the movie when they change Anna's memories. I think the trolls were bad and that Hans was not genuinely the bad guy, sure I think Anna and Kristoff work better as a couple and Hans and Anna probably wouldn't work as well as them but still. It's a good theory, I suggest checking out the full theory because my brief description probably isn't enough to really explain the theory to the fullest obviously.
Hans deserved better. When Elsa, someone who's never been tutored in how to rule a nation was outed as a witch and ran away, what did her sister do? She ran after her! Anna should have been a responsible princess abd stayed behind, instead Hans picked up the work and actually did something to help the people. Elsa and Anna are terrible rulers, Hans should have won for the betterment of Arendel.
Everyone knows now that Tangled was better then Frozen even though a combination of Let it Go covers and pretty dresses turned Frozen into the moneymaker.

Plus they have magic to manipulate the mind, as you see in the beginning of the movie when they change Anna's memories. I think the trolls were bad and that Hans was not genuinely the bad guy, sure I think Anna and Kristoff work better as a couple and Hans and Anna probably wouldn't work as well as them but still. It's a good theory, I suggest checking out the full theory because my brief description probably isn't enough to really explain the theory to the fullest obviously.
